What if preggy nakakaalis pa rin ba? Kung allowed ilang months lang dapat.

In my case sis, I got pregnant during my application process. It was planned actually.  I informed the province pati CIC, na delay ako ng konti as expected, kasi I preferred not to undergo Xray pero pinagawa na yung ibang tests.  After manganak dun ako nag Xray and pina physical exam lang din si baby. :)

you say good morning to everyone kahit kasama mo sa bahay, at mga taong makikita mo sa labas. saka instead of saying goodbye or bye you say cyah/ see yah.

Dito when someone starts a small talk, you actually engage. If someone says "How are you?" You actually have to respond and engage with other topics. Sa US parang people just say how are you as a routine and leaves before you can even respond. Or when leaving the office, people here say "goodnight" kahit hapon pa lang.

You do not discipline a child by means of palo. I'm not a parent so I do not know how strict parents are in following it. I'm sure there are parents na namamalo and still can get away with it. Pero bawal sya.

People here likes chit chat, you know talking about the weather, their pets, their kids, etc. But still be wary on what is sensitive and what it not.

^if you are comfortable wearing a skirt during the winter, why not. I usually just wear a nice crisp shirt with slacks. Do not put your personal information on the resume like bday, if married or not or any stuff like that.

LOL vans :) kung may "Like" button dito sa GT, I would definitely like your post. Ako rin ganyan. Sorry ng sorry :)

One of things that I like about Canada is that generally Canadians are so polite. Yung iba natututo maging polite at nagaassimilate sa culture of respect dito, yung iba walang pakialam.

Kakayanin kaya namin sisses yung ganitong plan? Makaka survive ba kami, may 600K kaming savings in Pesos, then pwede rin kami humiram ng money pag kinapos kami sa sister ko na nasa abroad din para lang maka pag start kami ng sarili namin sa Canada, possible ba to sisses? Malakas naman loob namin and yun nga napaka independent namin, hindi kami usually nakikisalamuha sa mga kapitbahay, malimit work at house lang kami, pasyal si baby, ganun ang lifestyle namin. God Bless us! and thank you!

^Winnipeg has a big Filipino population. I suggest that you start building connections and join communities in Winnipeg. While a big Filipino circle has its pros, it also has cons as well. So be watchful lang but generally is should be helpful.

I know a lot who have done that, na nauna ang isa sa may asawa so that should work too for you guys. Maganda kung may work at apartment na sya saka kayo makasunod. Apartment here requires proof of employment and background check, even sublets too I think. I would probably give it a month or two before moving to another apartment from your 2nd cousin's house.

Kanina lang sa simbahan, a lot of people are rushing to get out after the mass, an old lady wants to get inside but she can't because a lot of people, most Filipinos are blocking the way. Kung hindi ko pa tinaasan ang boses ko to say "Can't you please let this lady in", wala pang magbibigay ng daan. Nakakaloka.

I'm really not sure kung pwede yun. What FB are you into? Is it Life of Peg? You can try asking them if pwede your plans about the apartment. To be honest, I think it is quite of a bigger favor to the 2nd cousin to look for an apartment and sign some rental documents under his name tapos hindi pala sya yung totoong tenant diba. Parang mas ok na tumira muna sya dun for a while and kasama sya na maghahanap ng apartment.

About sa pakikisama, ganun talaga. Saka you never know naman diba, baka excited yung Tito and pinsan nya na makakasama nila yung asawa mo. Most Filipinos here are yearning relatives so might as well bring some of the familial relationship to the Tito and 2nd cousin. By agreeing to be sponsors, I'm sure na-expect na nila na titira sya dun. On the many people that I've met, the relationship of the Sponsor and the Nominee, continuous forever. I'm just speaking for myself here. So mas maganda kung makausap nyo ng mabuti si Tito and 2nd cousin.

Yeah, I agree with you. One time nasa restaurant ako with a friend. Yung 2nd floor ng restaurant puro pinoy... siguro may celebration or event. Grabe napakaingay na sobra at parang lasing na. Hindi closed off yung 2nd floor so lahat kaming nasa 1st floor hindi maka-converse dahil na nasasapawan ng ingay nila sa taas. The establishment was also not a bar... more of a restaurant, so noise levels wouldn't normally be so loud.

I get that people just want to have a good time and relax with friends. Fine, but do that at home where they're not bothering other people. Consideration lang that there are other people in the restaurant who are trying to hear one another talk. I could also see irritated looks by the other diners being thrown at the 2nd floor... kakahiya talaga. I was almost tempted to go up there and say something.

Ako, I always try to do good/be good because it's a reflection of us as a country and as a people. I want Canadians and other nationalities to think positively when they think of the Philippines and of Filipinos. Pinoys represent!! lol :)

Yes, this is so true. Sabi nga nila once lumabas ka ng bansa you not only carry your name but the name of your country. :)
