1. Depende sayo kung ilang beses mo gusto pakainin - usually for adult dogs mga once or twice a day. An 8-month-old dog is still considered a puppy. I think pwede na syang tawaging adult at one year old.

2. Your dog food brand should have specific guidelines on how much and how often to feed your dog. Google should help if you buy your dog food by the kilo instead of by the bag.


Edit: I noticed you were asking about sawdust. Iba ang measurement pag home-cooked or raw ang papakainin mo. For raw feeding, a good guideline is feeding 2-3% of your pup's ideal adult weight per day, divided by how many times he's fed. A standard adult shih tzu's ideal weight is about 15lbs or 7kg. Since your dog is still a pup, I'd err on the side of 3%, or even more, if he is a particularly active pup.

pero dati, pag di siya nakakain, nagsuka ng bile ngayon hindi na kahit isang beses lang.
hindi ko rin mapilit kahit subuan ko pa ng meat. itutulak lang sa nguso or takpan niya ng towel.

below six months, thrice; after six months twice, 1 year up- once na lang. pero para maiwasan mag bloat dahil sa katakawan at ang bilis kumain, twice ako nagpapakain. kung dog food, check mo feeding guide sa sako and check mo din yung dog mo kasi pwedeng kulang or sobra yung nasa feeding guide. iba-iba din kasi.

@sis abu.. Tagal na kami nagraraw feeding, last year pa o diba beri good nako may time lang na pinapakain ko ng kibbles pero bihira. Sa raw feeding, meat from cows, minsan isang buong chicken, livers, gizzards, etc.

Tapos isang araw nagsawa na lang, eto nga hanggang ngayon sapilitan pa rin kami.. Nagtataka ko eh bakit labrador siya tas nawalan ng gana  haha baka nga sa init.. Nasa loob na nga siya bahay nakaaircon.. Ang hirap naman makahanap ng pagiiscoran niya haha

Ibabalik ko ulit sa vet eh, pinapablood test na siya baka there's something wrong. Yang eagle pro hindi ko makita sa pet express

Mga sis I dunno kung namention na eto in this thread, but what can you say about dog foods na binebenta sa hardware shops na sako sako pero relatively cheap? Are those safe?

goodgirlgail, deadmahin nyo yan, it's garbage! when choosing a dogfood wag kayo magbase sa kung anong mura, baka kung ano yung tinipid natin bawiin din pag nagkasakit sila. you have to research on the good and bad ingredients para malaman ano yung okay ipakain sa hindi. may mga links dito backread lang

snix, natutuwa ako kasi dumadami ang raw feeders! maeffort at mas magastos ang diet na ito pero in the long run makakatipid tayo kasi di sila nagkakasakit, at ang coat, mahirap ako iplease pero napapa-OMG ako sa kagandahan haha! parang pang-show nga daw kahit walang supplements! tsaka they don't smell pag nakaraw, tipid din sa water and grooming bills. pati ang teeth nila malinis, no need for dental stix or teeth cleaning na ang mahal mahal! spread the word para maging healthy lahat ng dogs natin!

mabili ata ang eagle pro ngayon kasi mas mura compared to other premium brands. hanap ka rin ng carabao meat, mas mura sya than beef

missreese, ingat lang sa liver kasi toxic sya pag sobra, 5% lang sya dapat ng meal. meat or ground meat na lang bilin mo, ganun binibili ko then boil ko with veggies.

I give my dog Pedigree canned dog food 2x a day, morning and evening, and on the side eh laging puno yung other bowls Nya with water and dry food. She hardly touches the dry food. Pag trip lang Nya magkalat. Lately though she's been passing gas a little too much, a certain flavor from her canned food makes her release too much gas

Hi! Has anyone tried Super Bite or Royal Dog yet? I found them in the dog section at Robinson's Supermarket, but I heard it's also available in SM Supermarkets and Hypermarkets.

They're inside a dog food freezer and they look like ground meat, and they're 66 pesos per kilo. I really want to buy them for my dog, but I'm still not sure of their quality.

I don't think my parents will let me buy raw meat because they're kind of expensive.

Beef pro kasi binibigay namin sa jack rusell  (4 months) namin, and napansin ko na may rashes sya around tummy area and parang hindi sya naggain ng weight. Tumingin ako sa hobbes high street pero wala daw silang stock ng acana kasi parang hinarang daw sa customs? Tama ba mga sis? San kayo bumibili ng Acana nyo currently? TIA!

question! Ever had an instance na nagiiba yung consistency ng poopoo ng furbabies niyo dahil same same yung dog food nila? Should i bring her to the vet at this point? We buy our dog food kasi ng naka-sako kasi we have 7 doggies. one of them naging watery yung poopoo few days ago. i'm worried maybe kasi dapat ata iba iba ng brand or ng flavor yung kinakain nila... baka nagsasawa yung tummy nila sa paulit ulit ng brand hehe... Hi. So we brought our 4 months old shih sa vet last saturday. For vaccine and check up na din. napansin kase namen andali nyang magka amoy. kahit 30mins pa lang pagkaligo. so the vet said yeast infection. aside from the medications na binigay, sabi mag change ng dog food. we are currently feeding her Orijen Puppy, same sila ng maltese (pero yung maltese di bumabago as in). We went to tiendesitas kanina to search for an alternative food. we bought canidae lamb and rice ALS kase wala na option. 13kilos nga agad yung nabili namen kase sobrang wala sila stocks. pati dito sa petshop sa eastwood. we wanted to try sana taste of the wild or merricks ba yun? sa Bow and Wow? any feedback on Canidae Lamb and Rice ALS and Taste of the wild? pag ok na yung smell ni yumi sa Canidae, we'll stick to it kase baka allergic sya sa chicken. If not, we'll try the salmon after 2 mos. 2 naman sila mag eat ng 13kilo na dog food. and may orijen pa naman kami pang transition. Thanks!

Saan kayo bumibili ng Acana/ Go! Natural (canned)? I get mine from Pet Express/Dogs and the City sa SM north and Trino right now, pero mas convenient kasi sakin yung online ordering sana. Plus, di pwede sakin yung 13kg sacks kasi mini pin lang naman aso ko, never niya mauubos yun  So 2kg bags lang. May marerecommend ba kayong online seller that carries both brands at reliable din? TIA!

Hi mga sis newbie lang ako dito..but i've been reading ur posts about Shih tzu..simula na  buy ko yung baby ko si zoe..10mos na sya ngayon..but ngayon lang sya nagkaganito..ayaw nya kumain 4days na..dinala ko sya sa vet last monday kasi matamlay sya nung kinuhanan sya ng temp nilalagnat sya..kinuhanan sya ng blood sample for blood test and ininject [textspeak!] ng para sa lagnat,antibiotic and pampagana daw..din binigyan din sya ng AD diet para and dextrose powder para ihalo sa water...nung lumabaa yung result ng blood test mababa lang yung rbc nya..now [textspeak!] na sya lagnat pero ayaw nya pa din kumain..kahapon kumain sya konti..boiled liver and chicken..then now ayaw na naman nya kumain..binigyan ko na din sya ng nutriplus gel as advised ng vet..pero hindi pa din bumabalik apetite nya..pa help naman mga sis 😂😂thanks
