^yup, I mix it with another brand of dogfood kasi nga sobrang oily. Basta no Acana para matanggal tung taste fatigue.

I'm lucky I get the sawdust fresh as in nakikita ko pang ini-scoop from the meat saw yung sawdust. And yung meat mismo, fresh,not frozen.

Yung iba kasi na meatshop,fini-freeze nila yung sawdust nila. But sawdust does not keep well kaya madaling bumaho.

^nako kahit fresh from the grinder at lutuin iba pa rin yung amoy nya haha! the problem with sawdust kasi is kahit fresh, mostly fats lang sya. suki rin kami ng sawdust years back, kinausap namin yung nasa meat section na magreserve hehe. nakakakuha kami ng fresh and frozen, minsan swerte ground meat talaga binibigay. but since nagkaron ng skin issue mga alaga namin, we stopped from buying. Ganito rin kwento ng ibang dog owners kaya medyo ilag na ko sa sawdust, meat na talaga yung binibili ko for them. kaawa kasi pag pumuputok yung skin, doble gastos pa for medications.

Dapat yung agad na macoconsume lang bibilhin kasi mabilis bumaho at mag iba ng kulay kasi mas exposed sa bacteria kasi grounded meat.

^^pwede naman lagay sa freezer and add acv to prevent spoilage, kaso medyo hassle kung ordinary refs ang gamit, siksikan ang pagkain hehe. kahit chilled lang it can last naman up to 5 days. pero pag nakahomecooked kami madalas for 3-4 days lang yung ginagawa ko, feeling ko kasi nagdedeteriorate yung quality habang tumatagal. though meron kaming chest freezer medyo hassle magrepack, freeze then thaw ng food nila, madalas nakakalimutan ko pa magthaw kaya okay na yung small batches lang.

Question pag acana ba mabaho ang poop? Im kinda concerned with this kasi hirap din pag sobrang baho and our dog stays in our room

^san ba sya nagpoop? sa bathroom? yung shih tzu ko indoor dog, may mga areas na sya sa bahay for pooping at dahil immune na ako sa kanila, hindi ko na alam ano ang mas mabaho hahaha! alam ko mabaho ang poop pero mas pansin ko yung difference ng smell per food. Tsaka once madampot at mapunasan naman ang spot, nawawala na yung amoy. Sabi ng family ko, mabaho daw pero sakin parang wala lang

Ok thanks i think ill give acana a try. So far nabasa ko sa net puro poop and gas problem sa acana

Acana's smell is really strong and the same goes for the poop. I remember when my fur baby tried it his poop was really dark with a strong stench. Then he ended up no longer eating it when I tried serving it to him.

depende din kasi sa dog kung mahihiyang. Pwedeng okay samin pero sa iba hindi, so puro trial and error talaga at first. Yung amoy ng poop, depende rin sa percentage and type of protein. But since shih tzu alaga mo, go with low protein yung nasa 22-25% lang. Sa shih tzu ko, I choose the lamb variant kasi 25% lang protein nya, perfect for his activity level. Wala naman syang gas problems, at maganda texture ng poop nya, dali dakutin.

Yup that's what I like about good food for my pet. Their poop is easy to pick up and throw in the trash. I tried giving mine Alpo a few weeks back and he didn't like it at all.

^don't worry sis you're not alone, marami talagang picky eaters na small breed, ito lagi ang problema ng mga owners. but in my case nagbigay na kami ng vitamins kasi worried na rin ang vet, kasi patikim-tikim lang sya, baka daw mangayayat. Mas mahina kasi ang resistensya ng small breeds than large dogs, mahirap pag nagkasakit, wala silang panlaban. Have u tried giving him vitamins? baka kailangan nya ng pampagana. aside from pedigree ano pang brands ang natry nyo? How about the good brands like Orijen, Acana, Go Natural, Canidae? homecooked meals, natry nyo na?

based on your post, okay naman ang ingredients ng zenith, kaso kailangan natin malaman lahat ng laman nya para makasiguro. minsan kasi nasa dulo yung additives, food color, preservatives, so kahit okay yung first ingredients, may mali pa rin sa huli. hinanap ko sya sa net, pero wala ako makitang reviews, mostly case studies/term papers lang on how to market the product. tapos sabi sa ingredients it has chicken and fish powder. made in korea ba sya?

^ yes sis abuanddiego, made in korea sya.. yun lang kasi ang kibble na kinain nya talaga.. nagtry na kami before ng royal canin, go natural, solid gold, puro canned lang ang nakakain nya pero halos tikim lang din, sa kibble, never talaga sya kumain, yan lang zenith ang nakain nya, siguro kasi soft type.. naghahanap nga din ako ng reviews, wala din ako nakita, kaya nagtry na ko magpost ng ingredients dito.. hehe.. hindi ko pa natry yung acana, orjen at canidae.. natakot na kasi ako bumili ng food kasi baka hindi nanaman pansinin, sayang lang pera..

Hi nga sis ok lang ba haluan ng liver spread ang dog food? Ayaw kasi kainin pag dog food alone lang kaya minsan hinahaluan ko ng meat like chicken,pork,liver spread nakakain na niya.

^okay lang naman haluan nang meat.. kung naback-read (o baka sa ibang thread na pang pets din?) okay lang na bigyan kaso ang liver spread po ay may preservatives na kasi diba canned na siya? better kung meat talaga..kayo na magluto.

summer, hindi ba nagadvice ang vet na bigyan sya ng vitamins? kasi pag ganyang di palakain, nacocompromised ang health kasi onti ang nakukuhang nutrition. mas dehado ang smaller breeds kasi mabilis bumaba sugar levels nila, ito yung reason kaya napipilitan magbigay ng appetite stimulant.

try mo haluan ng chicken stock ang dogfood, meat and veggies pwede rin. yung shih tzu ko, vitamins lang talaga nagpagana sa kanya. at nung inalis ko humina ulit kumain, naging maintenance na namin ang raffavit and papi. pero mas okay na yung umasa kami sa vits kesa hindi sya kumakain at mangayayat.

mukhang okay naman ang ingredients ng zenith kaso ang problema, walang reviews. ako kasi bago magtry ng products, kinikilatis ko muna at hanap ako ng mga reviews. kamusta ang reaction ng katawan nya sa zenith? yung poop, skin? ilang months na nyang food to? since 3yo na sya, pwede rin kayo magask for a blood checkup, just to be sure lang kung okay ang health nya. minsan kasi may mali sa system kaya walang appetite, usually supplements lang naman ibibigay para magnormalize sila

Sis abuanddiego, which vitamin do you give for your shih tzu? Is it the Papi or Raffavit? I'm trying to decide which one to give to my fur baby since I wouldn't want to continue with LC Vit.
