You really should meet and discuss this with an agent.
Kailangan nya malaman ang situation mo, i.e. salary,
breadwinner ka ba, may kapatid ka bang pinapaaral, etc.

^depende sa age at insurance amount na inaaplyan mo. usually hindi, pero pag may makita sa med history mo (there's a questionnaire on medical history), baka mag request during the application process

Savings or investments? You could get mutual funds... Are you the breadwinner? Term Life insurance is good for protection... If you want both investment + protection then life insurance with vul is great. You need to meet with an agent for more explanations.

Nope but in hubby's case they required him to undergo a medical exam. He was 35 (36?)yrs when he got one and his mom died of cancer.

I have a Mutual Fund plan in Sunlife, unfortunately, my agent no longer works with Sunlife and hindi ko na sya ma-contact. Anyone here knows about top-ups? pwede bang mag top-up then un na rin ang pambayad ko sa premium?

ayoko kasi sana itabi muna yung pera kong pambayad sa premium kaya ibabayad ko na before due date.

or pag nag top-up ba e nageexpect pa rin si Sunlife na may separate bayad pa ako ng premium?

love this thread, it' really a big help since i'm  meeting up with my friend who's a sunlife advisor tomorrow and we'll discuss my options. based on the discussion i'm leaning towards the maxilink but i'll see if she has a better one to offer me.

You can contact a Sun Life financial advisor first, then meet with her para you can open a MF account.

It depends sa result ng medical exam. If may nakita, the company may require the client to pay more para to get the same benefits, or, to have fewer benefits but same amount of payment.

If you're talking about using your MF account to pay for your own VUL, pwede yan.

Or if you're saying na you'll pay for your own VUL in advance, pwede pa din yan.

Can you tell me kung ano mode of payment mo - quarterly, semiannually, or annually so I can assist you more, sis?

im planning to get my first insurance.. my choices were prulife, generali (bdo) and sunlife.. and im leaning more on sunlife.. investment plus insurance.. may disadvantages ba ang sunlife?

Hi question: May mutual funds kaming mag-asawa (joint account) sa Sunlife na ngayon lang namin nasilip ulit kasi dinagdagan namin. Maiden name ko pala nakalagay dun kasi Passport ko 4 years ago yung ginamit para iopen yung account (time na di pa ko nakakapagrenew after the wedding). Kelangan ba ipaupdate ko yun or keri lang na maiden name lang?

Sa mga may Flexilink, pwede ba thru cc ang payment ng premium? May online payment facility ba Sunlife? Sabi ng agent ko Hindi daw pwede cc sa VULs, how true? Sa site kasi nila listed naman sa modes of payment ang cc. I want to check with the policyholders here.

hindi pwede ang CC pag may VUL kasi investment daw yun. yan ang sabi saken sa sunlife office
