Not exactly relocating, but I'd like to be able to go to SG every month and stay 1 or 2 weeks at a time. would you knoe if that's possible on just the tourist visa?

^ baket naman hindi. immigration would ask how long youd like to stay and if you have a return ticket, social visit pass is at least for 15 days.

Read kasi sa IO thread yung off-loading. SO has been coming to manila almost every month and it's getting stressful na din. Was looking at options, since I really doubt I can work there naman. I guess I can try it.

Sisses question,  what is the salary range for senior it consultants in sg? and what is the above average budget for a family of 3 if hubby is the only one who is working thanks!

^^Hi sis, there are different factors to consider before answering that:
how old is your child? (school age or not?)
would you be willing to share the unit or you prefer to be on your own? (i think a 2br hdb unit rental is around 1.8k-2k? Condo is twice or even 3xthat)

For salary, i think depends sa company. Where my hubby works, it's S$8000+++..maybe sa iba higher or lower pa dyan...

Can't give a ballpark figure for "above average budget" because it would depend on your lifestyle.
But it is safe to say na if your hubby's salary is at least S$4k, your child is not of school age, and you'll share rent, even if you don't work, it will be more than enough.

Hi mga sissies. Newbie po sa thread na to. I used to work in abu dhabi as procurement asst and sales coordinator at the same time. Alam mo naman sa ibang bansa ang pilipino all around. Minamax talaga ang skills. Anyway, my sister is working na jan sa sg. And ang ganda ng job niya. Almost once a month siya umuuwi ng bansa due to business trip. Minsan nga twice pa. Tanong ko lang po , meron ba akong mahahanap na work pa rin jan? Andme kasi nagddiscourage sakin na pumunta jan kesyo loaded na raw ng kabayan at hindi na raw tumatanggap ng hindi citizen jan. Also my hubby is working in a bank , in demand po ba ang bank officer jan at tumatanggap ng expat?

^Mahigpit na kasi dito, even if the company wants to hire you pero di naman in-approve ng MOM ang work pass mo, wala din. So, better apply online na lang. Don't give up your current job until you have the IPA.

may i ask if saan ok area to rent an apartment kahit 30mins away from harbourfront mrt station? an agent recommended punggol area dulo't dulo pala yun our budget for a 1 or 2 bedroom apartment is 2k lang sana hindi na kami lumagpas hihi


and if you guys have additional tips for moving to sg please help po! we only have a week to prepare kasi    thanks so much

we got a pinay agent she was able to get us a nice 2 bedroom & 2 baths na hbd flat at punggol 110 sqm and nice furnishing too

sisses, may I ask where do you buy your drinking water? ang mahal ng tuig dito hihi we bought liters from fairprice and gallons from giant. any other recos?

^Sis, safe ang tap water dito sa Singapore.  Although here in my place, merong provided si landlord na purifier sa may faucet (osmosis).

We're 8pax staying in 3+1 room, our PUB is almost S$400/month

Kami din, no water filter eversince we stayed here, except the time when my youngest was still a baby. We'd buy distilled water bottles sa shengsiong or fairprice, but when she turned 2, tap water na! 

About PUB, we're 2 adults + 2 kids, in a 2+1 hdb unit, average S$150/month.
