Eczema/Skin Asthma: What Products Do You Use?

Im having eczema attack right now dahil siguro sa comforter ng hotel. Ewww. Nagstop siya kumati after using vaseline with aloe vera. I thought fungi ang cause niya kaya pinahiran ko ng selsun blue shampoo kasi anti-fungal shampoo siya diba, pero lumapad siya. Bad bad idea. Now, im using vaseline. Nagsubside na ang kati.

^^ yes sis, salt water really works...tubig dagat o kahit yung water with salt tapos pakukuluin. That's what i use 3x a day kapag super grabe ng eczema ko. And when i say "super", you'll be bothered talaga sa makikita mo. Extremely infected weeping blisters, merong abscess. Super kati pero mas grabe ang sakit dahil naghahakot-nana. Eewww di ba. Ang sakit abot hanggang armpits. Last Black Friday, I cried na talaga. Ayun, i wash my hands sa salt water. It helped alleviate the itchiness and pain, but it's main purpose is to help heal blisters.

Dati I used to have Eczema in-between my toes, grabe I remember ang kati kati nya saka sometimes my foul odor pa,  I remember my cousin asar me, they called me "EMA" short for  ECZEMA nga.

Ang nakagaling talaga sakin everytime na sumusumpong siya is FUCICORT, pag pahid tuyo agad,

Wash first with safeguard white in warm water and avoid eating malalansa

Suddenly as I grew up, di na siya bumalik last time yata was High school pa ako.

I spray it with Ladelu Witch Hazel toner every morning and night. Super nagimprove yung EMA ko.

I've had bad skin asthma since I was a teenager and have gone to so many dermas, pero nahiyang ako sa current derma ko. She gives me an oatmeal soap, Robathol bath oil, colloidal moisturizing lotion and glutathione capsules (she said that it decreases the flare-ups). When I get really flared up, she gives me clobederm and LCD ointment for my rashes. Yon lang for more than 2 yrs na. I'm happy with the results.

My derma also gave me robathol oil, vanicream and triamcinolone lotion. So far, theyre working
great. Sana di ma immune ang skin. Ah, my derma pala is Dra. Lourdes Palmero
in Medical City. She's an adult and pediatric derma.

^hi sis! we have the same derma and triamcinolone lotion din gamit ko everytime
umaatake KP ko but i dont use vanicream (i thought this is vaniderm), nagamit ko ito
before kaso nangangati pa rin ako. dati prescribed lotion nya was sebamed and sa kanya
lang ako nakakabili but wala na ciang sebamed matagal na. super bait ni doktora noh sis
sa kanya ako nagtagal and di na ako lumipat ng doctor when i met her.

@sis omneecka , ginagamit ko rin ito for my baby naman galing Dubai padala ni mama maganda siya pang daily use ni baby kaya nung naubos naghanap ako.

@ sis ann08: My derma is Dr. Margaret Corcoran. Sa kanya lang ako nahiyang, more than 2 yrs. na akong patient nya; ayoko ng lumipat sa iba. Lahat ng skin problems ko, she was able to address, like stretch marks, dark underarms and bikini and dark under eye circles

- Argan Oil (Ewan ko, I feel na hype lang talaga yan, never worked on me, napadalas lang ang weeping eczema attacks ko.)
- Clobetasol + hydrocortisone (Only works pag weekly ako nagpapa-injection)
- Triderm

And currently using the following:

- Mango seed butter. I bought one tube in Tagaytay near Bag of Beans and it works wonders on me. Last na punta ko dun, wala na sila dun. Oh nooo.
- Dove unscented

i had skin asthma nung elementary years ko sabi ni mama. pero nawala na nung high school ako. di na din siya nag attempt lumabas. salamat naman. kaso lang di tumatalab mga whitening soaps and lotions sa skin ko eh. nang dahil ba s we have sensitive skin?

My baby brother had a real bad skin asthma attack last month, yong nagsusugat talaga and di sya halos makatulog sa kaka-scratch. We went to Borough clinic in SM Mall of Asia and had consult with Dr. Allan Pua. He gave so many medicines, and it worked partially, may mga rashes pa rin after a week. Then bumalik kami for followup sa Borough clinic, iba namang derma ang nandoon, si Dr. Margaret Corcoran. She gave Impresol syrup, Benadryl syrup, Exel syrup, Robathol bath oil, Colloidal moisturizing lotion, Hydro Ery lotion to my brother. With her meds, 3 days lang, gumaling ang sugat-sugat na skin asthma ng baby brother ko. She also suggested that my baby brother's milk should be changed to hypoallergenic aside from the meds that she gave my brother. Bilib kami, bilis ng effect and now, my baby brother is perfectly fine. Dr. Corcoran is really good and her meds are very effective.

guidance kaso I want to see Dra. Corcoran and Peachy Lao still kasi madali ma immune yung skin sa
mga products and there are a lot good reviews about them so might as well see them.

know if the effect is the same with those pricey ones though haven't tried it in hair .

I just want to share lang kc yung daughter ko have dry itchy eczema skin ..may nakapag sabi sa akin na try to give her more fruits and veggies eh ayaw naman kumain ng daughter ko nun kaya ginawa ko since favorite nya ang smoothies I make smoothies for her everyday, as in yun yung miryenda nya then hinahaluan ko ng kale leaves and sperulina alternate ko sila then I use almond milk instead of milk..ayun naging smooth ang skin nya tapos water water lang drinks nya pinagagalitan ko kapag soda or juice na nabibili sa labas ang drinks nya.. naging smooth ang skin nya mga sis believe me it works! 1 month na sya smoothies everyday ginagawan ko sya pinag ti tiyagaan ko talaga sya.

clob cream is super effective! it's a cream with mild steroids. to reduce itchiness i took anti histamine.

then refrain from touching detergent bars, even fabric conditioners.

Mine started when I was 4 years old. I noticed that these butligs show up whenever I touch something dusty. I shrug it off and went on to play lutu-lutuan with other kids using soil. Naku, it started to get itchy. It was harvest time pa. Sa kalsada nakabilad yung mga inani nina lolo at tito. Iniimbak nila yung palay sa loob ng bahay. Eh dun kami naglalaro sa sako-sakong palay. The "gilik" from the palay worsen my condition. It got too itchy, I can't contain myself from scratching it. Ikinakaskas ko sya sa dingding, sa kulambo, etc until I got blisters. It got infected and later on nagkaroon ng pus. Idagdag pa na pawisin ang kamay ko. Grabe yung kati at sakit nya. Imagine fried skinless longanisa with pus. I thought my fingers would come off. Left hand ko ang nauna, sumunod yung right. My mom brought me to a regular doctor, not derma. He gave me potassium permanganate powder to be diluted in a basin full of warm water. Dun nilalanggas yung mga kamay twice a day. Sa awa ng Diyos, gumaling sya after 2 months. Since then, natanim na sa isip ko na im allergic to soil.

Every summer, nagkakabutlig ako sa kamay at paa. Pero hindi naman sya lumalala just because mommy won't let me eat allergenic foods. Eh when I was in grade 4, nagstart na kami mag-garden. I got too excited. Nakahawak ako ng lupa! Ayun, nag-ala skinless langonisa na naman hands ko. When the blisters healed, hindi na naulit ito nagpakita for 19 years.

Last 2010, skin on my feet got so crusty. Later on, nagkaron ng mga butlig. Naku alam ko na ang kasunod nito. But Im so puzzled as to what caused this to happen again, eh my feet naman doesn't have any contact with soil. This led me to research about my condition on Google. It was eczema pala. And little did I know that my laundry detergent, Surf, is the culprit, which I then found out, allergic si mommy and my 2 younger sisters. It took more than a year para gumaling ang sugat. I tried OTC creams, wa epek. Then my mom suggested me to try this fluocinonide ointment from Taiwan sold at a store owned by Taiwanese family. It's only P10! Im quite hesitant pa to use it. But amazingly, yung isang taon kong pinagdusahan, gumaling in just 1 week.

ako din sis!.. i used to have eczema on my feet 10 yrs ago., sa mga daliri pa kaya ang hirap talaga.. gumamit din ako ng floucinonide cream .. i thought chine made sya .. taiwan pala.. hehe anyways.. it took me so long bago ko nadiscover yung floucinonide.. i remember gumamit pa ko nung katialis, pennicilin just to dry up my flare up eczema until gumamit ako ng floucinonide.. yeah its very cheap, at first hesitant din ako gumamit pero gustong gusto ko na talaga gumaling eczema ko nun so i tried..  effective sya.. gumaling eczema ko dun 10 years ago.. and now, due to hot season at siguro i had a poor diet recently at idagdag na din ang stress sa work.. it came back.. i'm still using floucinonide cream, di sya ganun kabilis magpagaling.. but it really heals.. lalo na kung inaavoid mo yung mga foods that can trigger the eczema..
