Eczema/Skin Asthma: What Products Do You Use?

I ran a search for eczema, and i noticed that a lot of members here have this skin condition, but there's no single topic where we can share our products/problems.

Let me start. I normally get eczema patches on my hands and nape only, but in extreme heat, my entire body goes under attack

Some of the products I use that work:
(1) Mustela Stelatopia line
(2) Steam Cream lotion from the UK
(3) Cetaphil lotion (not the facial wash, though. Too dry.)
(4) Malin + Goetz

Care to share your anti-eczema products?

I use raw shea or cocoa butter which works. I also sometimes use emu oil. I normally get them on my arms, legs, back, and thighs.

Eczema ba yun red na parang rashes? Nagkatoon ako sa paa, nilagyan ko lang ng pretroluem jelly 2days lang nawala na

Skin asthma are thise red little red bumps na super itchy, db? Yung parang chicken skin like? I had those last month lang, but super bilis nawala when i use cetaphil soap and emu oil. I have din [textspeak!] solution which i think is the one that took away the itchyness in just one application. I bought it at a drugstore but i forgot the name.

Parang ganun, pero eczema is chronic. Kadalasan kasi mga tao may contact dermatitis, which is a type of eczema pero nangyayari lang pag may na-touch ka na allergen. Yun eczema, almost permanent siya. Rashes siya na nagiging blisters na parang may tubig sa loob. Ang cause ng eczema is genetic, so pabalik-balik siya and walang gamot para permanent siya mawala.

for bath na hindi harsh sakin ive tried na cetaphil, NuSkin products, By Nature handmade soaps, & Barenaturals soaps. pero yung mga doctors lagi suggestion J&J soap, Cetaphil, Tendercare, Ivory na no scent. my friend uses Oilatium naman.

pag inaaway ako ng skin asthma when i eat seafood gamot naman is lidex ointment and clobetasol lotion.

when i was in another country tapos normal temp nila is 10 to 15degrees sobrang galit ng skin ko walang soap na okay i needed to use E45 for bath and others na emollient kaso parang di naman din gumana

The Bio-Enzyme Cream from Z.E.N. saved me and my daughter. Dati grabe talaga ang skin asthma naming dalawa, hindi ako nawawalan sa thighs and butt, sya naman sa buong torso ang arms.

Ngayon as in wala na talaga, and we use this as a lotion na. Buti na lang unscented sya and lightweight.

My derma always suggests Cetaphil, pero sa totoo lang I often find it drying. The lotions are okay, though. The usual non-steroid treatment I use (pag sobrang lala na) is Elidel.

I use Dove unscented and cetaphil. For those days when I want to feel bagong ligo I use Ilog maria soaps. My favorite is the white honey milk soap.

I don't know bakit di ok sa kin ang dove kahit unscented. That's what my dad uses, and may eczema din siya. It works for him but not for me

I've recently been diagnosed with atopic dermatitis, and so far very effective for my dry skin ang Cetaphil Restoraderm lotion. I also use Dove Extra Sensitive soap for bathing.

Nagka.skin asthma ako when I was ummm.. mga 10 yrs. old? Bsta yun. At first di ko alam kung ano yung tumutubo s skin ko pro SUPER itchy, nagsusugat na. Kaya nagvisit ako ng derma. She told me to use Dove as my regular soap at saka Nutraderm Lotion. Pinagamit niya rin ako ng Physiogel Hypoallergenic Cream at Desonide Desowen Lotion with Corticosteroid, inaapply in small amounts sa affected areas. Una yung cream tpos yung lotion. Pro yung lotion hndi yun sya as in lotion talaga hah. Prang cream prin sya. Sabi nga ng mom q konti.konti lang pg.apply nun kasi may corticosteroid.

Anyway, sabi ng derma forever q n dw yun dpat gmitin kasi babalik at babalik dw ang skin asthma. Pro after a few months, nwla na. Pro tama siya, everytime na nagpapapawis ako, nangangati ulit skin ko. If this happens, saka ko nalang ginagamit yung mga products. Ngayon nga eh yung Desowen Lotion nalang ginagamit ko kung nag.rereact nanaman skin ko. Pro minsan nlng yun nangyayari. Effective talga sya pro hindi agad-agad ang results. Itchiness at yung bumps lang ang nawawala agad. Use it for a long time before you can really say na normal n ulit ang skin mo.

sis, use anything that's hypoallergenic. Luckily, we have plenty of them locally available. although quite expensive s'ya. You may try:

1. VMV Hypoallergenics (I use them and they have their own research center "VSRC") pricey lang pero worth it!

2. Mustela - Average price

3. Physiogel AI Cream and Oilatum - Anything that's Stiefel. eto ang nakagamot sa contact dermatitis ko in just 2 weeks! di ko alam kung anong meron tong products na to. parang may magic eraser. nagkabutlig butlig ako sa katawan tapos lumala sya nagtubig tapos naging super itim! para akong naglalakad na world map! literally. tapos ang kati kati. lahat na sinubukan ko. pero eto lang ang nakagamot in just two weeks!

mine naman was not really eczema. pero just the same, makati sya at ang bilis kumalat. it started arms ko, tapos kumalat sa neck, tapos binti. Physiogel AI ang nakagamot sakin at Oilatum. So tingin ko baka naman magwork din against eczema. i'll be visiting my derma next sat. tanong ko kung anong pwedng gamitin.

Wow! I find this topic helpful. Count me in. Also have eczema. Ang hirap kapag ganitong weather lalo na nung ang init. Umuulan pero lalong uminit? at grabe effect sa  sa balat.

currently, im using egyptian magic cream yung nasa small jar. effective naman. nag d-dry agad kapag may flareup. soap from a derma. forgot the name. will update. sa rashes din pala clobetasol ointment.


mga sis, itchy rin ba yung skin nyo kapag mainit yung weather like last month? at may rashes din ba? hindi makapag shorts? :/

^Ganyan nga nangyari sa akin. Ang saklap ng weather. Pero nakakapagshorts naman ako, kasi naagapan yun rashes. It also helps na huwag laging mag-maong, kasi nagagasgas lalo ang legs so more rashes

thank you for this thread. i think i have skin asthma.

i haven't been officially diagnosed by the doctor, been too busy, but for the past week or so, may kumakalat na rashes sa arms and legs ko. this is my first time to experience this. it worsened when i tried to scratch my skin because it's so itchy. then my skin got so dry.

it's a bad habit but mahilig ako mag self-diagnose/self-medicate. at first i thought they were bug bites.. but they usually disappear in just a few days. did an online search and it tells me its skin asthma as it is usually triggered by an allergen. in my case, it's dust. and add heat to that! i have allergic rhinitis and that predisposes me to this skin condition. this started when i slept in my old bed na matagal na di napalitan yung bed sheets.

my rashes really do look like the pics i see in google , until now di pa nawawala. palagi akong naka-long sleeves now. i've tried using caladryl and took anti-histamines to no avail. magkano ba yung Physiogel AI?

^AI Cream is 700+. pero nakabili ako dati 1K+ for a box containing two tubes na. paubos na yung sakin. since medyo okay na yung rashes ko, lotion na lang ang binili ko. mas mura. pero siempre iba ang concentration at runny na ang consistency. yung pharmacist sa watson's may mga rashes din s'ya. nung nalaman n'ya na yun ang bibilhin ko, sabi n'ya yun din daw ang nireseta sa kanya ng derma n'ya. so far so good naman daw.
