I havent tried physiogel, but isnt it the same as cetaphil? Cause cetaphil doesnt work for me.. So i thought physiogel might not work either. Right now after 7 days of clobetasol, i maintain with neutrogena norwegian formula lotion. Ok naman so far.

^. i think the ordinary cetaphil lotion is not designed for dermatitis, only cetaphil restoraderm.

http://www.cetaphil.com/products/eczema-prone

For common dry skin lang yung nabibili sa watsons.

Physiogel lotion caters to bad dryness such as eczema.

Mine started when I was 4 years old. I noticed that these butligs show up whenever I touch something dusty. I shrug it off and went on to play lutu-lutuan with other kids using soil. Naku, it started to get itchy. It was harvest time pa. The "gilik" from the palay worsen my condition. It got too itchy, I can't contain myself from scratching it. It got infected and later on nagkaroon ng pus. Idagdag pa na pawisin ang kamay ko. Grabe yung kati at sakit nya. Imagine fried skinless longanisa with pus. I thought my fingers would come off. Left hand ko ang nauna, sumunod yung right. My mom brought me to a regular doctor, not derma. He gave me potassium permanganate powder to be diluted in a basin full of warm water. Dun nilalanggas yung mga kamay twice a day. Sa awa ng Diyos, gumaling sya after 2 months. Since then, natanim na sa isip ko na im allergic to soil.

Every summer, nagkakabutlig ako sa kamay at paa. Pero hindi naman sya lumalala just because mommy won't let me eat allergenic foods. Eh when I was in grade 4, nagstart na kami mag-garden. I got too excited. When the blisters healed, hindi na naulit ito nagpakita for 19 years.

Last 2010, skin on my feet got so crusty. Later on, nagkaron ng mga butlig. Naku alam ko na ang kasunod nito. But Im so puzzled as to what caused this to happen again, eh my feet naman doesn't have any contact with soil. This led me to research about my condition on Google. It was eczema pala. And little did I know that my laundry detergent, Surf, is the culprit, which I then found out, allergic si mommy and my 2 younger sisters. It took more than a year para gumaling ang sugat. I tried OTC creams, wa epek. Then my mom suggested me to try this fluocinonide ointment from Taiwan sold at a store owned by Taiwanese family. It's only P10! Im quite hesitant pa to use it. But amazingly, yung isang taon kong pinagdusahan, gumaling in just 1 week.

Sobrang tagal ko ng eczema sufferer that my skin became stubborn already.

I looked up its manufacturer on Google. Ok naman yung reputation nila, so i didn't saw any reason why i should discontinue using their product.

Last year, when the BER months came, I started using Surf powder again, hoping na di na ako magka-flare up sa paa or kamay. At first, ok naman. I never thought of it as another eczema flare up. Akala ko, dryness lang caused by detergents. Deadma lang ako. Until mid of March 2013 came.

The skin on my hands became too dry lalo yung ibabaw ng hinlalaki. What am I to do? I have a 1-year old boy na kailangan ko alagaan. We don't have househelp naman so ako pa rin ang naglalaba, hugas ng dishes. Ayun, yung mga sugat ko on my left hand got infected na naman, aggravated by the foods that i ate. I admit, i became too careless.

I ate chicken, eggs and other stuff that made my condition worse. In just 2 days, I had blisters. Itsurang longanisa ulit without pus. That time, my nephew is suffering from eczema din pala. Uminom ako ng cloxacillin 3x a day for 1 week. I also mind what I eat. My hubby was too kind to do my household chores. On the 7th day, bahaw na yung sugat ko sa left hand.

That day, lunch time, yung ulam na inakala kong safe kainin, meron palang chopped chicken. I just noticed it nung matatapos na ko kumain. The next day, when I woke up, puro blisters na naman yung kamay ko. Dahil maiinit nung time na yun, Holy Monday, naaggravate yung itchiness.

As of now, no more blisters and pus. I used Oilatum and it helped heal my blisters. But I find it too drying. So I switched to Dove unscented. Jergens Ultra Healing works wonders on my extremely dry skin. Nivea creme lang for my face. I gave away my skin whitening products.

How about the scars mga sis? Ano kayang safe gamitin. Sorry for the long post7 mga sis.

I've had bad skin asthma since I was a teenager and have gone to so many dermas, pero nahiyang ako sa current derma ko. She gives me an oatmeal soap, Robathol bath oil, colloidal moisturizing lotion and glutathione capsules (she said that it decreases the flare-ups). When I get really flared up, she gives me clobederm and LCD ointment for my rashes. Yon lang for more than 2 yrs na. I'm happy with the results.

sometimes i consider the detergents and fabricons i used as culprits of my eczema and now KP.
i use champion powder and tide bar then surf fabricon with perfume.

i tried using ivory detergent powder (imported) and pigeon fabricon (from Japan stores) kaso
too expensive ang ivory (300+ sa SM) kaya i shifted to local detergents.

kayo ba sis, what are u using na di nagiging cause ng eczema nyo?

thank u! :)

i dont have blisters, big cuts and pus na because of cloxacillin and Oilatum soap, but i still have these butligs na anytime pwede ulit pumutok, kumalat at mainfect kapag na-trigger. My super dry, thick and cracked skin is on its way to recovery. Thanks to Jergen Ultra Healing Lotion and Dove Unscented.

^Sis, I am allergic to Tide and Surf. Php750 sha for 15 kilos.  mga kalahating taon naming detergent to think halos twice a week ang labahan.

http://www.hiwtc.com/products/blue-ribbon-laundry-detergent-135941-12193.htm

Pero naawa ako kaya naghanap ako ng safe na detergent for me and family.  Kasi naawa ako na pati maong ko and other office attire, hand wash dahil that time Perla lang hiyang sa akin, yung di nag cacause ng kati at butlig.

@ xtine: Blue Ribbon sounds promising, and it's very cheap. Kaso medyo malayo kami eh so it's quite impossible na makabili kami nyan. Yung Ivory naman may kamahalan. I saw this detergent powder at SM, I forgot the brand but it's Philippine-made. Tagalog pa nga ang salita sa karton. Di raw nakakasugat at nakakakati, etc. I just don't know if it's true kaya di ko binili.

Anyway, I also switched to a different brand of shampoo. I bought Suave na hypoallergenic din. I just thought, hypoallergenic nga yung body soap ko, eh shampoo hindi. Eh in the first place, bukod sa kamay, umaagos din sa katawan yung shampoo di ba. Sana lang effective kasi andami nya.

^If it helps, nung di kami makadaan sa duty free, sa shopwise kami nakabili.   Isang literal na balde talaga sha at may kabigatan dahil 15 kg.  You can call your nearest shopwise or rustan's supermarket or S&R to ask if they have stock.

my 5 year old daughter have eczema then her Dr. recommended cetaphil mild cleanser or yung mild cleansing oil nakalimutan ko na name nun eh since expensive kc di ko na nabili agad ..well anyway ang can afford ko lang yung mild cetaphil whole body nya then shampoo nya yung J&J pang new born babies or yung lactacyd blue then yung lotion nya is yung aveeno for eczema lotion kc meron ng aveeno na for eczema so it really helps it alot.

then my sister inlaw meron naman syang extreme skin asthma as in whole body pati sa scalp nya at loob ng ears ..ang advice naman ng dr sa kanya iligo daw sa salt water ( tubig dagat )or pwede epson salt daw una ayaw ko maniwala pero nakaka help daw sa skin nya nakaka dry ant nakaka releaf ng itchy daw. then meron syang gamot injected by her Dr every week kaya minsan her skin is better then yung clothes nya nilalabhan sa ivory liguid soap yung mild bawal ang detergent nga.
