^^ sorry sis sa late reply...malamang makakarating kayo nyan sa GUimaras say 8am na, kung mag start kayo ng inland tour siguro skip nyo yung Guisi lighthouse kasi yun ang pampatagal ng byahe...medyo tight na sked yang first day nyo. 10-15 mins lang naman mula Jordan wharf to Iloilo port then from there mga 10 mins to ferry to Bacolod. Kaya ng 4pm sis. Pero napapagod na ako agad pag naiisip ko marathon nyo, hehe..

hi sis, we decided to stay overnight in guimaras na lang since early morning yung manila-iloilo flight namin. anticipating a tiring day for us hehe. early morning na lang kami punta ng bacolod
backread lang ako ulit for inland tour sites.  parang trappist monastery, pitstop mango pizza at gusi lighthouse lang naalala ko for now haha

kindly recommend naman a nice place to stay in iloilo city near the good restos, eateries,  and bilihan ng pasalubong

thank you sis tammy for all the help. our trip to iloilo-guimaras-bacolod this weekend was a blast!

i love smallville21 hotel. mura for it's class.
winner ang pasalubong ko from iloilo sa office na cream horn. sarap! it's only 15 pesos per piece, available in Margec's in Jaro and in Plazuela
medyo hindi ko nagustuhan ang la paz batchoy though.

in guimaras, enjoy din sa mango pizza at pit stop. i find the fresh mangoes super sweet nga, pero super mahal din. hehe. 80 per kilo dun sa maliliit. we only bought a kilo para lang matikman.
the goods at the trappist monastery ok din.  but if you're going somewhere else pa, sa airport na lang bumili para hindi na bibitbitin everywhere you go.  nag-zipline din kami sa camp alfredo's. php425 inclusive of 1 zip line ride, 2 hanging bridges (hindi pala madali to haha), and 1 rappelling experience. 
we stayed at raymen's for the night, okay naman, ok din ang food nila.  nag-enjoy kami ng todo sa shakes nila kasi ang pino ng pagka-blend hehe.
the island hopping tour is enjoyable too! naawa lang ako sa pawikan na na nahaharass sa mga nagpapapicture kasi kung ano anong ginagawa sa kanya.

just got back from my iloilo/guimaras trip and thanks to all of your tips kasi sobrang naging helpful siya sa pag-plan ko ng trip.

here's how it went:

from iloilo airport, we went straight to ortiz wharf (tip: take the light of glory cab, php 350 lang ang fixed rate nila and pinakamura na siya as compared to others) and took a ferry to jordan (pronounced as hor-dan) wharf, which is the main take off point in guimaras. from there we rented a trike, driven by kuya bugoy, who was so nice and willing mag nego ng price niya. he brought us to sa payaw (where we had lunch) trappist monastery, guisi lighthouse and beach and finally to alubijod cove where we booked for 2 nights.

just to share the difference between alubijod cove and raymen:

alubijod cove-if you love the beach resort type of look/feel and less crowd, go for this resort. though i have to warn you na hindi accommodating ang staff nila and di ok ang food. sobrang nagustuhan ko lang na nakatulog ako ng maayos kasi mas tahimik. ang room naman is very basic.

raymen-if you love the laguna resort look/feel and more crowd, go for this resort. loved the staff and food plus halo-halo and mango shake. wasn't able to check out the rooms though.

slightly mabato ang beach and maiksi ang beachfront ng alubijod/raymen area. pero i super enjoyed it kasi ang linaw ng water and cream colored ang sand.

we had our island hopping the following day c/o kuya weng-weng (na ni-recommend ni kuya bugoy). i think he's from raymen and nice din siya. sobrang na-enjoy ko 'to kasi i didn't know na sobrang daming islands sa guimaras. we went to ave maria beach, the beach with the pawikan, baras cave, lamurawan beach and passed by natago beach (di kami naka-dock kasi andon daw yung australian owner).

on our 3rd day, we asked kuya bugoy to pick us up. dinaan niya muna kami sa bilihan ng mangoes (60-70 per kilo) before ihatid sa jordan wharf. from jordan wharf, we rode a pedicab to circle inn where we booked for a night. sobrang lapit niya lang sa port, as in. and very accessible sa public transport. malapit din siya sa robinson's and SM. maganda and malaki yung room plus malinis ang pool. after checking in, we went to breakthrough for our lunch. sobrang sarap ng food and since katabi siya ng beach, ang presko kahit mainit. we also bought our pasalubong in SM and deco's pasalubong center.

on our last day, we had lunch in griller's which was in solis st. (in front of SM) and coffee break for coffee and dessert. in fairness, masarap ang food sa griller's. super enjoyed the cake and frappe in coffee break too.

Anyway, sa Iloilo City the old houses and the churches. Eat LA paz batchoy sa market mismo ( air-con). Day trip sa guimaras or out-of town like sa Miagao, San Joaquin.

^^see the old downtown. see the centuries old churches. dine and enjoy the nightlife at Smallville complex (baby back ribs at pirates ba yun, steak at bauhinia, pasta at afriques, dessert at a pretty cafe near bauhinia, luxe spa at skinetics at techno ayala hub). eat seafood at the popular seaside restos at villa beach - breakthrough resto or tatoy's manokan or erning's manokan. Go out of town to tigbauan, guimbal and miagao and see the Spanish churches. stroll along UP Miagao campus where hills and the sea meet. go island-hopping in guimaras. The Ortiz wharf - jump-off point to jordan, guimaras is walking distance to Ateneo HS in Iloilo whose parish priest (fr robbie sian) is my crush hehe

mga sis, i'll be going to iloilo on june 16-june 18..8:30am flight ko going there, balak ko is to roam around iloilo saglit before going to guimaras.
then monday balak ko pumunta ng aklan..tas balik ng tuesday before 4:30pm...ok lang ba to?

Day trip ka na [textspeak!] sa Guimaras or balik kal ng iloilo early morning. Sa Kalibo ka [textspeak!]? Aklan is 3-4 hours away. For your 4:30 flight, u have to leave aklan at 10am siguro..

^^this is possible sis pero baka magagahol ka sa oras. on your first day, roam guimaras first and iloilo second. you can tour iloilo na sa hapon. on your second day, go to aklan. but where in aklan ba? kalibo is 4 hours away from iloilo. caticlan jetty port (jump-off point to bora) is 5-6 hours away from iloilo. on your last day, you have to leave aklan early to be able to catch your flight in iloilo back to manila. if you want, you could rebook your flight to manila through kalibo na lang instead of iloilo. convenient pa ito for you so that you won't run out of time.

No idea sis.

Sa Iloilo, they have a cheap pension house, Ong Bun. favorite ng mga backpackers. I think 200-300/day [textspeak!] ang rate.

So day tour ka na [textspeak!] sa guimaras and overnight sa Iloilo. In Boracay, I have no idea...

^^if you plan to go overnight at guimaras, then better book your stay at resorts sis. as far as I know walang home stay sa guimaras. Anyway mura naman. At bora, there is one but you have to be a member of the couchsurfers first.
