Yey finally! A thread for highlands brides! Anyway we are going to have our wedding on Jan 2013. So far, we've just booked our major suppliers. Thinking of getting some of them from tagaytay para no oot fees.

Photo: Metrophoto
Video: Derek Yee
Photobooth: Baicapture
Coordinator: Planning to get Event management services. They're tagaytay based and when we were doing our ocular there, the AE of highlands recommended them.
Gown: Pronovias
Groom: Hugo Boss

As for the others, I'm still confused which one to book.
By the way, where are you guys having your reception? Midlands or highlands? Which one is nicer ba?

SUper true! Ako din konti palang nabook namin. P/v, wedding coordinator, photobooth, rings palang. Thing is once gumastos ka na, parang you want everything to be perfect, so you tend to book the high end suppliers. Kya ngayon palang..our budget is off the roof na. Pareho tayo ng video! hehe. How much quote sau ng flowers unlimited?

Hi!

I'm a December 2012 b2b and our venue is at Tagaytay Midlands...

Chapel: Madre De Dios
Reception: Veranda, Tagaytay Midlands
Coordinator: Ms. Cathy Ebuen of Events Embassy (with out of town fee)
Wedding gown/Entourage: Carlo Chu (a friend of my sister)
Photo/Video/Photobooth: Limelight Digital Photography and Video (no out of town fee)
Event Stylist: none ===== would you recommend one? I was hoping if the in-house florist or our coordinators would be helping since i already have an idea on how I want it styled
Lights and sound: in-house
Band: Totally Mesmerized (with out of town fee)
Cake: in-house
Weddinga favours: DIY  :)
Special Effects:Dragon Fireworks ==== was planning on this one too.... do they add extra charge for this?  I wanted sana floating paper lanterns pero too messy/too dangerous :)
Emcee: will be provided by our coordinator
Bridal Car: hopefully from our best man  ;D
HMUS: Abbie Ferraren/Cel Sabille
Invites: JCK
Flowers: we plan to get their in-house florist - RCJC... was hoping to get recommendations from Co-tagaytay highlands brides if they are okay (the package includes only the reception flowers... I'm thinking of getting them for the entourage as well)   ;)

Good luck to us all in planning our dream weddings! :)

Hi mga sis! Planning to book Highlands also.. just want to know, nagwawaive din ba sila ng service charge sa food? Kase [textspeak!] napansin ko [textspeak!] package nila is inclusive of VAT lang and wala pa [textspeak!] service charge....

Also, are they also strict in terms of number of guests, kase napansin ko rin na more than 100pax ang dami na agad additional even iced tea may addtl agad na 66per pax, naisip ko kase during the event, everyones going to be very busy to check all that, count ba [textspeak!] nila ilang iced tea ang sumobra.. wala ba silang bottomless na lang para hinde magulo for sure more than 1 glass naman lahat ng bisita diba? Yun lang...

Hope you can share naman..

^I just bought the magazine "Tagaytay Weddings", nakalagay dun yung rates nung packages ng Tagaytay Highlands:

Enchanting Memories - 80K
Blissful Union - 110K
Heavenly High - 190K

just check the website for the inclusions (basta wala pa food dito).

------------------
mga sis! ako naman may tanong! bawal ang outside caterer, right? dapat yung in-house caterer nila. magkano ang catering rate nila? pretty, pretty please... :)

kasi basically, when i get their package, halos yung catering cost na lang ang additional major expense kasi marami nang kasama yung package nila.

Yes. Bawal ang outside caterer, pero their food is really nice but expensive. The lowest yata is parang 1250/person buffet yun, iba pa rates kapag sit down.
Madami na nga kasama yung package pero yung mga iba I can do without, so pwede naman iparecost kung meron kang mga hindi kkunin.
You should be ready to shell out a big budget kung highlands wedding kase kame dumoble na because we got manila suppliers kaya madaming oot fees. Tsaka hassle magoot wedding hehe..we just really love the place kaya we decided to go with it.

^P1,250/pax for the food! that's terribly expensive! akala ko kahit P1,000/pax man lang for the food. so pag nag-150 pax pala kami eh aabutin na ng P187,500 sa food pa lang. add 110K of the Blissful Union package, approx 300K. anyway, thanks sis for the info! appreciate it. :) pag-aralan ko ang costs. :) kasi mahal rin naman ang ibang options ko eh... yun nga lang, in terms of "total" cost, pinakamahal nga ang Highlands because of the food!

sis triggerhappy, may icla-clarify pala ko. parang i read somewhere na the only accredited event stylist nila is Michael "Badang" Rueda. pero pwede namang kumuha ng another event stylist? ikaw ba may event stylist?

Yeah mahal talaga, tsaka kapag more than 100 guests, may mga extra charges na..kaya kame 100 lang guests namin, kase we wanted din naman an intimate wedding eh. Pero kahit intimate super mahal din..hehe. I dont think they are exclusive to any stylist..ako im having gideon hermosa.  ;D

Hi mei mei - yes may kamahalan nga.nakaka stress lol.pero if u check other venue like splendido pareho lang din. Kaya mega compute sko with other venue kung ano ang cost effective. I already email hl, ang kausap ko si verna.let me know if u need her email or other details. U can get ur own stylist. Sa 180k, di pa [textspeak!] tax dyan so ang net, 196k. (faint) plus church na 25k na non member, tapos 500 per table/chairs so addtnl na 5k net pa so total 226k. (faint)lol

No, I got their package kase I have 100 guests lang naman, my food will not amount to 180k, and they told me its better to get the package para wala ng madaming additional, if I dont like some stuff naman daw in their package I can have it recosted eh. Kasama na yung cake sa package pero I will not use that, Ill have my cake from another supplier. BTw, my contact from hl is sharon, pero I let my coordinator handle that, kase mahirap talagang makipagcommunicate sakanila..hehe.

@triggerhappy, do they count a child as 1 pax? o pwedeng half the cost sya? kasi i'm thinking of just getting the Blissful Union package then pick the lowest-cost menu for the food and just limit my guests to 100 pax. i was just thinking kung paano ang count nila sa children in terms of food cost, di ba half the rate? kasi parang too expensive naman to charge P1,210 for the child's food. if they do charge lower for a child, what age range kaya ang definition nila ng child, hehe. :)

Hindi, they have rates for kids, so iba yun. Hindi ko din alam kung ano un age range nila hehe.

Hi sissies! I'm a highlands bride din ;D We booked the place December 15, 2013 and we were hoping na sana magback out yung 3pm schedule para mamove yung ceremony namin from 10am to 3pm kasi we were opting for a evening reception haha
grabe halos puno na din ang schedule ng Madre de Dios and here I thought mas konti ang magpapareserve sa church xD

quick question of, so it's okay to bring an outsider stylist?
because I really love Gideon's work and hoping we could have him as a supplier.. *fingers crossed*
when in doubt.. GOOgle it!

^ sis, you can bring your own stylist naman. Althou i think badang rueda (in house) is good na rin. Im also considering taking the 190k package para not too stressful na for me.

Girls, can anyone suggest yung mga tagaytay based na flower supplier?
