“It was really [meant] towards Vice, it was a joke,” said It’s Showtime co-host Anne Curtis in her brief apology to fellow Kapamilya star Maja Salvador.
Anne apologized for making a joke, which might have offended the Ina Kapatid Anak actress, during the “Sine Mo ‘To” segment of It’s Showtime yesterday, January 23.
In the role-playing segment of the ABS-CBN noontime show, Vice was singing with one of the male performers selected from the audience.
Vhong Navarro cut in and asked Jhong Hilario, “Mahal na hari, sino ‘to?”
Jhong answered, “Siya si Cirinderella.”
Vhong said, “Hindi ‘yan si Cirinderella. Siya si Allan... Allan-di mo!”
After that, Anne said about the comedian, “Oy, hindi. Siya yata si Maja... Maja-rot ka!”
Everyone in the audience laughed at Anne’s joke while Vice commented, ‘Ay, statement ‘yan! Statement ‘yan, ha!”
Then, Vice added, “Ako, hindi ako si Maja. Ako si Kim.”
Before Vice could even continue, Vhong immediately said, “Ikaw si Kim... Kim-Kong.”
Vice agreed, “Oo, ako si Kim-Kong!”
Because of her actions yesterday, Anne took the opportunity to say sorry to Maja during the “Sine Mo ‘To” segment today.
She said, “Before anything else, bago tayo mag-joke time at mag-playtime dito, gusto ko muna mag-publicly apologize kung may na-offend ako kahapon sa joke ko.
