Joining this thread. I shifted to a primal (though not so strict) way of eating in December. I'm generally a healthy eater, but I'm not one to turn down snacks or sweets particularly if it was specially prepared. I stumbled upon literature on the primal diet, and the low-carb/high-fat way of eating made sense to me. I immediately tried it on myself.

The pros: I needed less rest and had more energy. After the first month, I tracked that I had lost a few pounds and over an inch off my waist.

The cons: I feel like I hadn't been able to concentrate as well? I don't know if it was the lessened carbs or because it was just the holiday season. I also did not know what to pair with the typical Filipino ulam like afritada, sinigang, adobo, and etc., so I just ate them as is. This diet is also more expensive, but it quashed my cravings for sugary/starchy stuff, so I guess it evens out.

I feel like I hit a plateau so I did a refeed today. I ate pancit, macaroni salad, and an egg tart from someone's birthday handa. And wow, ang hirap pala bumalik to that way of eating kapag nasanay ka na sa low carb.

Im on my second week of paleo manila diet delivery. Their food is really yummy but a bit on the pricey side. I also try to run/walk five times a week. I've lost 5lbs so far and the diet is really easy to follow, I dont feel deprived and I feel Na kaya ko na gawin lifestyle ang diet. Ay, I cheat pala with 1 cup of sugarfree coffee in the morning  :) pwede naman daw basta in moderation. Next week will try to switch to greentea na!

^ Good job sis! I can't afford paleo manila so I just have our helper prepare simple, paleo-ish baon for me. Usually tinolang maya-maya or tilapia with fried talong ang baon ko. For snacks naman, nagbabaon din ako ng singkamas or apples. But I'm not as strict with my diet as I used to be.

Im doing Paleo now! It was my 1st day of diet food delivery from Eats for Life.  I have to admit though that I did cheat. I couldnt resist having some gummy bears! Plus I also ate a green mango for a snack which is paleo approved, and also added a bit of  pork sinigang to my dinner. I want to really try Paleo Manila. Ive tried it before for a week and the food is really yummy so you wont need to cheat. But... I didn't lose weight!

You may want to try Munch Manila. They offer Paleo meals. I lost 2-3 lbs in one week. But that was with exercise ha.

Medyo nagstop ako with this diet, now that I'm pregnant, bumalik ako. Puro real food. So far, ok naman. Nawala yung feeling bloated.

I've been doing this Paleo diet na pala without even knowing it. I only eat fruits for lunch then vegetable salad for dinner. Question though, no coffee talaga? Can't seem to let it go. :'(

^ You don't have to go paleo all the way. I'm only paleo like 85% of the time. I still have coffee every day and rye-bread sammiches sometimes. And Japanese food, whenever I feel like it. Maybe once every 2 months. :)

^^^ You can also use coconut milk as creamer pero kung sanay ka sa ordinary creamer baka manibago ka. Or try going black.

I'm trying to go on a healthier lifestyle by going Paleo... Tried Paleo Manila... It's a bit hard tho.. Without the bread... and dessert... :(

Anyway, just wondering how much and where do you buy your Coconut Oil for cooking?

Also, what are the easiest recipes? I don't cook kasi :(
