I've been off Paleo for a month now and it does not feel good at all. I need to get back on track ASAP. Feel talaga yung difference.

Same here. Iba talaga energy level, alertness, mood, etc.

Btw, tama sinabi ni beachgirl sugar is hidden in almost everything na especially in processed foods. Siguro 75% ng products sa grocery may added sugar. Also maraming tawag sa sugar.

^ yeah, kaya generally the fewer the ingredients sa ingredient list the better. pero when i use sugar, it's usually coco sugar.

^^ pwede fried food sis basta vco or evoo. no recommended number of calories but if you're trying to lose weight, make sure you burn more than you consume.

Hi everyone, I'm glad to have found this thread here sa GT.

I came from HCG diet and stopped. Imagine having 4 kids and doing a very low calorie diet... I was so weak and had a hard time doing mommy duties. -- sadly, it's not for me.
BUT it taught me how to cook, despite having kids hindi talaga ako nagluluto..but because of HCG diet I was able to complete my own cooking utensils, glass/non-teflon meron ding teflon minsan, cooking without oil etc..with HCG you lose weight, lose fat? not sure.

I have hormonal imbalance resulted to my obesity ( I may not look one ) and while doing some research I found Dr. Kruse's blog on Leptin. He suggests to do an Epi-Paleo diet while on the balancing stage till you adopt the paleo lifestyle, paleo as a way of life.

From Dr. Kruse's epi paleo diet the pyramid of food goes like this

Oysters - base
all crustaceans aside from Oysters - 2nd to the base
Fish
Meat
Eggs
Nuts
If you have time you can check http://jackkruse.com/brain-gut-6-epi-paleo-rx/

I'm on my third day, and felt kinda weak so I decided to go out kanina para mag paaraw ng unti.

VCO is my bestfriend. Since I can't stop taking coffee, I mix VCO to my coffee. ( I got this from wellnessmama)

I will backread to learn more from all of you mga sis. Thanks!

Hi everyone. I've been following this thread for sometime now. I have been doing the Paleo Diet for two weeks. There is no change in my weight. My body is a little more firm and my face is a little slimmer. I wonder my weight hasn't changed. I have stopped eating rice, bread, sweets and all kinds of carbs. Any suggestions on how I can escalate my weight loss? Thanks!

on my 5th day...

I don't think I will use my weighing scale as a gauge for now, nilabas ko muna ang mga pre-pregnancy clothes ko and tape measure  ;)

^^ sis lunaysol actually paleo is not so much about weight loss as it is about eating healthy. do you prepare your meals yourself? kasi that's one way to control what goes into your food. you might also want to hold the salt and avoid frying your food.

^ sis sarahsensible i think it's a good idea to avoid the weighing scale for a while. you'll notice the changes in your body naman. i also used to put VCO and grass fed butter in my coffee, but now i've switched to MCT oil and grass fed butter. it's helped my focus at work!

^ Great news! :)

I'm slowly shifting back to semi-paleo. I just need to finish my pack of rolled oats, brown rice, and whole wheat pasta. Basta, nagstock na ko ng shrimps, chicken breasts, eggs, and organic steaks. Let's get primal! :)

By the way, curious about the paleo-friendly ice cream being sold by Green Grocer. Ano kaya lasa? I wanna order!

Good thing I found this thread! I want to gift a 15 day meal package to me and hubby this coming Christmas!

Question, though. How do you plan to stay on track on this diet with the upcoming Christmas season (parties, reunions, buffets)?

^ My game plan last year was, eat super slow, and NEVER EVER let your host or anyone else see that your plate is empty. Kasi once they see na wala nang laman or half-empty, pipilitin kang kumuha ng kumuha ng kumuha. :D

Avoid deserts. :D I won't go super strict kasi I'm pretty sure yung ham na i-seserve is not paleo :D Basta no rice, no bread, no deserts pa din... Sa mga buffet, daming meat naman. :D Just stack your plate with just "ulam".

Alcohol ang pinaka-mahirap, for me. I used to drink a lot and kapag makikipagmeet with friends, they remember me as someone who drinks a lot...

^ i'm not super strict na din. basta as much as possible i avoid grains and sugar. minsan kasi di talaga maiiwasan lalo na pag kumakain sa labas.
