clueless is right, what do you expect from the SAs? and sm?naku!!goodluck, my dear!!i was in moa the other week, looking for a convertible carseat, sabi ba naman sakin, "ano ho yun?" and she was insisting na high chair daw yung hinahanap ko! DUH!!!

Does the innova and fortuner have the same seat?  Use pool noodles as clueless and wingding suggested to get the proper seat angle.  Wala talagang alam ang mga SAs because they are not trained well.  I got one from SM last March.  Around 150 pesos ata.  It's long so you can cut it with hacksaw or bread knife to make 4 pcs that would fit your seat width.

aw meron pa pala issue sa fit ang carseat akala universal silang lahat. We have the mothercare madrid, nag fit sa vios and montero. walang problem sa paginstall.

Sis nunis not sure if the seays are the same, i would think the only main issue of carseats would be the space and seatbelt. I'm just disappointed i thought the SAs would know better esp at mothercare, anyways thanks for the tips mga sis! Been watching a lot of youtube videos and i'm more confident yhay we can install it ourselves. I'll give the madrid one more shot, maybe i'll go to the bhs branch instead

^ I was able to check out the Brevi Grand Prix Silverline before.  It look sturdy but I don't like that it only has 2 slots for the shoulder harness.

What do you do when your kid suddenly goes into crying fits and won't stay in the car seat? Never had this experience with my eldest. Now with my son, minsan Ayaw niya. Imagine we were in SCTEX and he wanted out of it. We had to stop by the roadside for almost 30mins.

^ sis, that happens to us sometimes. how long has he been sitting in the carseat before he started crying? minsan my daughter gets restless pag matagal siyang nakaupo so if we're going for quite a long drive, we make sure to stop every so often to let her out of the seat kahit sandali lang.

even from paranaque to filinvest qc  lang ha, pag traffic, we stop somewhere in eastwood for kahit mga 5-10mins.

^^Ally, my daughter is like that sometimes especially if her yaya isnt with us and she's alone in the back seat. It's stressful cus she screams at the top of her lungs 

In fairness nakukuha pa naman ng distraction. I give her my ipod or we play car games, naaaliw naman.

ally, i'm going through the same thing right now. my eldest din was very good with the car seat pero my new baby (3 mos. old) is having a hard time with it. we've been using the car seat naman since he was born pero lately talagang he throws fits whenever we put him in there. he cries and screams at the top of his lungs din. earlier, we traveled from QC to greenhills and he cried almost the whole way. he's not interested in games or toys yet so i don't know what to do to distract or entertain him. nakakapanghina to just sit there and watch my baby cry so much.

We finally got our carseat today, we got the capella convertible carseat selling at rustan's. I didn't get the name though and its sitting in our car. Very plush padded seat with removable covers, canopy and when in front facing you can put in an iso-fix-like bar to further stabilize the seat. It was 13k+.

I also checked out the peg perego viaggo....omg i loved this carseat!!! Harness strap and head support adjust to any height you want, backseat has a triangle wendge built in to better support baby's back and there's a kickstand you can use in tje rear facing position so no need for pool noodles na! Unfortunately it was 19k and my in laws were paying for the carseat, i felt bad about getting such an expensive seat.

I also saw the brevi carseat in hello kitty, so cute!!!

Sis hunny, when my daughter becomes uneasy too for long drives worse, alam nya paano kimawala sa straps. Tsk. I make sure I have snacks that she can nibble para busy sya sa pagnguya.

My almost 19m old has almost outgrown her chicco proxima carseat. She's 10.5kg now. The shoulder straps are on the highest slot and halos pantay na ng shoukders niya.

Mukhang ok siya. Good for 9-36kg (approx 9m to 11 years). Sulit na kung ganon. 10 years dawcang rating ng plastic, manufactured nov 2011. 6k+ lang. Babalikan ko nyan kaso sana may all black. Black/red na lang kasi yung available.

^^clueless, that's nice. My daughter needs to transition to a booster soon too (from a Mothercare Seville convertible). We have a Chicco high back kaya lang nag-aalangan ako dahil walang integral harness at 1 position lang, unlike the Seville na may 4 reclining positions. I think that one is a better alternative kaya lang sayang naman yung Chicco namin (regalo).

Sachism, if your daughter can wiggle out of her car seat straps (5-point harness ba?), they might be a little too loose, and, knock on wood, if an accident happens, the car seat may not protect her well from the crash. Kailangan medyo snug yung fit. I think ang allowance dapat kasya lang ang 2 fingers mo between her body and the safety belts.

Or do you mean she can unbuckle herself?
