Hey there. Looking for a replacement for my 2008 Macbook. Initially decided on getting an MBA but finally decided to go for the entry level 13 inch Macbook Pro retina. From what I've read, minimal weight difference between the two.

Out of all the authorized resellers, Liteware in Kamias is giving me the best price for cash payment. You guys have any feedback on Liteware's after sales service?

You need to fresh reformat again, but 1st you need to backup everythings all your stuff.

Won't be getting APP unfortunately--no extra moolah. But will ask them about warranty coverage. Thanks, muahmuahmuah. 

Thanks too, whitebishop. Got my Macbook from an online seller but would prefer to purchase from a real store this time for the rMBP.

Wanted to get it from Beyond the Box because of their excellent service but theirs is priced slightly higher than Liteware's.

^Saan mo binili? Covered pa ba ng warranty? Pa-check mo kaya sis para malaman mo kasi sa akin ang daming laman nito pero mabilis pa rin siya.

^ Sa digital hub ko siya binili sis. Lagpas one year na siya kaya 'di na covered warranty. Mabilis pa rin naman yung akin sis, ang napansin ko lang talaga.. before pag shutdown ko ng laptop, mag-off na siya agad. now, may lumalabas na yung bilog na loading.

Nung nabili ko yung mid 2013 MB Air ko wala din kasamang iWork. Pero nung in-update ko na sa OS X Mavericks, ayun free yung iWork kaya nakadownload ako. Buti na lang pala di muna ako nagpadownload noon ng MS Office. Hehe.

I have a question pala, sa left side kasi ng Safari browser may space for bookmarks and reading list. Paano ba yun tatanggalin?

sis i just got rMBP, paano iinstall ang iWORK if its free in OS Mavericks? Or pag purchase mo free CD sya? please help

i dont know how much for updating your OS, kung sa labas siguro mas mura. i can help you to update your OS X

the last time i checked 1,500.00 plus you have to back-up your files.

^^^You can call Powerm-ac magkano pero mas maigi pa ikaw nalang mag-update. Kelangan mo rin kasi mag-backup.

^ actually back-up is just a precaution. i updated my mbp and my sisters mba without backing up and no data was lost.  but of course its at your own risk.  i agree with the above post that its better na ikaw na mag update just download the maverick from itune store overnight.  na discourage ako mag pa update sa mac store dahil sa 1.5K lol

IMO better to fresh reformat your hardisk dont update your OS babagal lang ang MAC mo base on my experience. kung ang processor lang naman ng Macbook mo is core 2 duo better to update to snow leopard wag ng lalagpas dyan dahil babagal lang naman ang computer mo or upgrade your memory.

or kung tamad kayo mag backup may mga optional na pwede nyong gawin para mapabilis ang inyong trabaho you need another macbook or imac. kung iisa isahin ko pa kung pano matatagalan tayo dahil complicated ang bawat itatype ko at baka hindi nyo pa masundan hehe.....

^wow they charge pa talaga sa Pinas.  I asked a few times about  them updating mine while I was having my mac fixed,  they all consistently refused and said  to just do it yourself even with apple care-kala ko kasi with apple care they'll care to that extent hehe

^I agree.  I was wrong to think that apple has superior customer service being a global brand.  Yung authorized Service Centers nila are the ones who charge 1500.  Kasi nga apple stores would refuse to upgrade your machine.

^them being superior is more of a complex hehe may iba naman kasi kala mo wala ka pinag aralan.  but i like that they replace whatever is needed no questions asked. let's say na din na if your iphone is covered with applecare and the glass cracked or you want a new one just smash it hard and bring it in and new phone 2 replacements ata max.

and by the way, what is a good printer that can work well with mac? is HP ok?
