Help please. I noticed just now na ang dumi ng rubber bottom ng Macbook white ko. Does anyone know how I can clean this? Or pwede ba to dalhin sa Apple centers para dun ipalinis?

I clean mine with the lens cleanser, not too wet though. Tapos I bought a case nalang. The rubber bottom was coming off (yes as in natatangal siya, caused daw is heat). And I asked my brothers to take it to the Apple center here in manila but they said I have to pay 4k to have it replaced. When I flew to LA, I went to Pasadena to have it replaced for free. If I had the time they would even replace the top casing kasi may cracks sa hinges. I'll try to have it replaced here in Manila, if ayaw nila I'll fly my macbook to the states before my applecare expires.

Subukan lang nila wag palitan ang adapter ko na sira ngayon. Ang kuripot ng warranty dito sa Manila. Kaasar.

^I already did.. many times na.. and always, I get lost in translation.. lol! Hindi ko maintindihan ang difference sis! For studies lang po.. basically for research and term papers.

^ if that's the case, go for Air. For heavy-duty work like video editing, photoshop and the like, it's better to use the Pro.

also, kung pro naman, okay na ba yung 13 inches lang or dapat 15" na?
ako naman, mainly for web browsing lang. I'm a stay at home mom so internet lang din ang habol ko, pero I love storing pictures sa laptop, then every year, burn ko sa cd, kaya isip ko pano if macbook air, hindi pwede mag burn ng cd.

Yung sa MBPro, depende yan sayo sis. Ako kahit web browsing, school work, music, movies ang ginagawa ko, yung 17" ang binili ko LOL Kasi gusto ko talaga malaki ang screen ng laptop ko.

I'm buying an MBA this week.  Right now I'm deciding on the following:

MBA 11" 4GB RAM 128G Flash Storage 1.6 Ghz i5
MBA 13" 4GB RAM 128G Flash Storage 1.7 Ghz i5

This will be my primary personal computer, although we do have a desktop computer at home.  My reason for buying:  My current laptop will turn 5 years old this year and is already too slow for my needs.  I will only use this for word processing, power point presentations, photo editing and some graphic design (minimal only, like blog layouts, invitations and the like). I do not play video games on my laptop, and I don't watch movies on my laptop either (I do that on my iPad).  I also have a portable hard drive, so the minimal storage capacity of the MBA is not a bother to me.

Considering all my needs, do you think I need the MBA 13" with the specs I posted above?  The price difference between the two models is approximately 7,000.  The apparent differences between the two models I'm considering are the following:

1.  the 13" has an SD card reader drive, the 11" does not have one
2.  of course the 13" has a bigger display
3.  faster processor for the 13" (1.7 Ghz vs. 1.6 Ghz), but based on my research, the difference in speed is hardly noticeable

I am not considering the MBP because I put a premium on portability.  My only concern with the MBA is that it does not have an ethernet port or a port to connect to LCD projectors...I have to buy those separately, and that adds to the cost (compared to MBP which already has those ports). 

What do you think?  Should I buy the 11" or 13" or start considering the MBP instead?

^Sis melvel, important ba sayo yung SD card? Kasi kung yun lang difference nila, mas pipiliin ko ang 11" lalo't magaan siya.

Yung 13" na MBPro mabigat din siya, yung cousin ko hindi niya rin madala dala kahit saan yun.

^Thanks for the reply.  Preferable yung may SD card slot, although madali naman bumili ng portable card reader.  I take lots of pictures kasi, and I edit some of them.  But I don't store the pics so laptop, I have a separate portable hard drive for that.

Parang wala na talaga sa choices ko ang MBPro.  It's either 13" or 11" MBA na lang.  For the P7,000 price difference between the two units, I could have Microsoft Office installed na and get some other add-ons.

^Yes, pwede mo ngang gawin yun. Get the 11" then yung mga kulang niya pambili mo nalang, malaki pa rin matitipid mo.

^^ my sister has the 13'' 1.7gHz and I have a 11'' 1.6gHz mid 2011. hardly noticable yung speen na if you're doing light media production, pero sa rendering mas mabilis ng konti mag respong yung 13'', not that significant pero. kaya mag 11'' nalang. and then yung sobra sa budget mo ipangbili mo nalang ng ibang peripherals depending on your need. 

...anyone use crystal cases for the mbAir? hindi ba nasstuck yung dust particles in between? and anyone using silicone overlay keyboard pads?

^I don't have the Air pero may Speck SeeThru case yung MBPro ko, may nastu-stuck na dust ng konti. I sometimes used a silicone keyboard pad pero tinanggal ko na kasi ang weird, nag-iba ng shape? Haha I mean di na siya pantay dun sa keyboard eh na-OC ako kaya tinanggal ko nalang.
