^^instead of connecting via wi fi try connecting via wired internet and also turn off bluetooth and remove USB devices that you are not using. baka mag improve ang battery life

I have a mid 2013 mac air and had it for 1 year na. It lasts 4-5 hrs with video playback/skype/download tapos 8-9 hrs pag internet/microsoft word use lang.

^sa akin naman mas worst mga 2 hours lang siguro dahil sa video editing mas madaling malowbat

@abbeydasassy - pagkakaalam ko mas malaki talaga magconsume ng power yung macbook pro kasi mas powerful sya. ganyan din yung sa cousins ko, dali malow-batt. kaso yung sayo bago palang kaya medyo nakakapagtaka.

@hann-hann - dapat yung movie na dinownload mo may .srt file na kasama. or magdownload ka ng separate. Tapos pag open mo ng movie sa VLC, click mo sa top bar yung video, hanapin mo yung subtitles track (or sa newer versions nasa bar na rin yung subtitle option) tapos click mo lang yung .srt file. Ganyan lang ginagawa ko.

Or para di na i-click yung subtitle, make sure na same file name sila para pag open ng movie, opened na rin ang subs.

Yung Seagate ko na external hdd, read only sa Air ko. Kailangan ko ba ireformat yung external hdd?

After more than a year of putting it off, I finally bit the bullet and got myself the 13-inch MBP retina. Great leap from a 2007 crackbook running on Snow Leopard. Hehe.

Thanks to Danica from Beyond the Box for giving me a good deal. Was also able to get myself the skinny sleeve from Acme Made for 50% off (ongoing promo).

Still revelling in this whole new experience with the machine. Mukhang marami pang dapat pag-aralan at i-explore. Egzoiting!

My iMac came with free magic mouse pero never ko ginamit yun kasi sanay na ko sa magic trackpad lol

I have the Magic mouse but I prefer using the Magic Trackpad.

Question: Is it okay to leave your mac plugged in (while batt is on 100% full charge) whenever you have access to an outlet? And then just make it a point to charge/discharge it once a month?

^what I do is whenever my battery is full.  I remove the charger and use it until it's almost drained. it may be difficult to track and religiously drain the laptop battery every month so instead I unplug it when battery is full and if it's almost empty and I am still using it, I plug it back again, so far my battery is still okay after 3 years of use
