flirting = cheating? what do you think?
« on: December 11, 2011, 07:24:42 pm »
mga sis. question ko to. how do you draw the line between flirting and cheating ba? mejo naguguluhan ako. kasi pag ako nalaman ko na nakikipagfren2 ang bf ko sa girl na alam na nyang may gusto sa kanya, o sumasama sya dun. o na parang mejo sweet na gestures ni girl sa kanya at hinahayaan nya lang. magseselos na ko. parang ayoko na sa kanya, kasi parang in a way inientertain nya yung girl, in a way tumingin sya sa iba. kahit pa hindi sila or anything. masyado bang selosa pag ganun? kasi kapag kinonfront mo si bf baka sabihin lang na wala silang ginagawang masama and na ako naman ang gf or bawal na ba sya makipagfrends sa girl? pero if its bothering me naman diba? natanong ko lang, di pa naman nangyayari saken, if ever mangyari i wouldnt know how to handle.

its normal to feel that way, kahit ako magseselos ako eh, pero kelangan kausapin mo sa bf na it bothers you regarding sa pa-tweetums ng girlalu and tell him na nagseselos ka...at dun mo malalaman kung papano ka sasagutin ng bf mo, at you should keep the conversation flowing na parang dika nagbibigay ng kung anong eklavu kasi you trust him so much.

Kadalasan ang cheating starts with harmless flirting :)

^ On that note, there's no such thing as "harmless" flirting when one or both of the parOies are already committed.  ;)

Of course, cheaters will deny that.

You will feel naman if may ngaganap ng kalikohan. Just follow your instincts.

ngayon na-confuse ako. how would i know if bf is flirting or just being friendly? only when he responds na rin sa mga sweet gestures ng girl? so if di dedma lang sya kahit pa madalas nya samahan yung girl na may gusto sa kanya, ok lang?

TS, it's perfectly normal for you to feel that way. I can relate kasi selosa ako. If ini-entertain ni bf mo yung girl, yun na ang pagtubo ng damo na sisira sa garden of your relationship. I would suggest kausapin mo si bf and tell him how it makes you feel. He should respect your feelings and kahit sa tingin nya wala silang ginagawang masama, he should still stop in consideration of you. If he still tries to argue, ask him "Kung merong may gusto sakin and ini-entertain ko to the point na we're hanging out together pa, how would that make you feel?" That should wake him up. You're better off with someone else.

I think it depends. If he's being friendly lang, I don't mind. He can flirt din, as long as we're not together. I don't really mind. He feels the same way about me flirting with other guys.. I think it's a natural thing to do, flirting. And I trust him, so I know at the end of the day, it's me he loves and he'll always come home to me.

If its constant flirting with only 1 person = CHEATING na yun and a prelude to something much more intimate. Its a slippery slope, maya may pahawak hawak na yan, then akbay then they stand very close to each other, maya may kiss na sa cheeks then sa lips and boom. Temptation 1, Fidelity 0.

Hmmm... I think nasa lalaki talaga yan, I mean he should be considerate sa feelings mo bilang babae, if he knows na may tendency sia na magkagusto sa isang babae then wag nia gawing friend un kasi alam nia na makakasira sa relasyon nio un. ang bf ko most of his friends are girls pero I am not threatened naman, kasi he introduces me to them naman, at if ever may lakad sila sinasama nia ako, so I feel very safe. I know din kasi some guys na nakikipagflirt para lang sa self esteem nila which is horrible kasi mas importante naman ang relasyon ninyo kesa sa ego nia no!

for me once naging close ang isa sa inyo with another person sa opposite sex - close emotionally (kahit hindi physical) - for me that's cheating.

pero sa tao, iba iba ang definition kasi ng cheating.  may iba, so long as they are not physically intimate, kahit may flirting, hindi pa cheating kasi hindi pa naman married.  pero sakin basta naging close, kahit pa they are not having sex.

For me yes I would consider flirting as cheating. I would be very upset if I found out my boyfriend is flirting with somebody else. Hehe. Seriously,  I can't quite grasp the concept of harmless flirting. Of course not. Not unless ikaw yung type na kahit sino nalang, ayos na!

If your bf hangs around with a girl na alam nyang may gusto sa kanya, malamang he enjoys the attention, even if it's unintentional. Tao lang naman sya. But therein lies the problem. He is putting himself at the risk of enjoying it too much. And who knows where that can lead. He's opening himself to the possibility of cheating. It's like when you're dieting. Why would you hang around in McDonald's when you know those fries and sundae cones are just there, waiting for you. I'm not saying tumambay ka lang lagi sa vegetarian restaurant, but you know, kung pwede namang wag mag McDo, wag mag McDo.

ride on! :)

i guess it's okay to flirt in the flirty level. not in the sense that you're going to pursue the guy/girl. then... that is clearly cheating. especially kapag itinatanggi mo na may karelasyon ka.

Obviously, even if we are in a relationship, we will still feel attracted to other people. This is only natural. I think it's a big turn on for me when a girl starts flirting with my guy and he entertains her. Eventually, I enter the scene and she's so disappointed! :P The thing is, a huge part of this is trust. This may not be okay for other people. It might not work for them. But for us, it works perfectly. We trust each other and we know that it would never go any further. It is kind of an ego booster din. And we get the feeling that we are free, even if we are in a relationship. Walang feeling ng nasasakal.

in my opinion, it is case to case basis naman. but generally speaking, flirting = cheating? agree much on this. why flirt others kung may partner ka naman. simple as that. ^^
