I do not know where to ask this question. I am married to a USC. He's based here in the Philippines since 2009. I obtained my second 10 year multiple visa months
before I got married last year. Renewed my passport to my hyphenated married name recently. Husband and I are planning to visit the states this coming December. We haven't filed for my petition because we still have no plans to live in the
states for the next 3 straight years. Ma point A to A kaya ako sa POE?

Minsan nagtatagal at natatambakan sila talaga, the last time my wife renewed her green card before she became a USC, halos 2 months ang dumaan bago dumating ang card, a friend of my daughter who was an immigrant too, ay ganyan halos ang nangyari, sabay silang nag-migrate dito sa US, pero in a month lang halos ay dumating na ang green card namin, samantalang yung sa kaibigan nya ay inabot ng halos 3 months bago dumating...

One thing sure though is that napaka-reliable ng USPS service nila, as well as pag sinabi nila ang time frame, kadalasan, napapaaga naman,...

sis [textspeak!] po ang 2-3 yrs petition o yung green card? ganito po ba katagal? akala namen 6 months lang huhu [textspeak!] ba to wala na kaming katapusan ng pagaantay

i guess its less than a year since you're an immediate family.

Question lang: My sis in law who's already an american citizen would send wedding invitation to her brothers here in phils including my husband. Is there a chance of approval even if my husband had a pending migration petition?

^i have the same dilemma coz i'm on a fiance petition right now and we wanted my parents to be with us in the US when we get married but since they have a pending immigrant petition from my grandmother, getting a tourist visa might not be a good idea. they have a slim to no chance of getting approved through that. they can try but its harder if you get denied with any kind of visa application. so hopefully this helps you in any way.

If you only plan to go to the U.S. for a visit, there will be no problem. You can only legally stay in the U.S. for 6 months. Once decided already to live in the U.S. that's when you file your petition.

To find out whether your husband can go to the U.S., he has to take the risk., i.e., pay $100 to go through the US Visa interview. He can show the invitation but that's not a guarantee for approval. The pending petition for immigration might be more of a disadvantage than an advantage.

Invitations don't matter..it's a matter of proving one will come back go the Philippines and establishing ties.
Of course this is based on what I've read and personal experience.

@Shopaholic18, if there is a pending petition it doesn't mean that the tourist visa application would automatically be
denied. I've heard of stories from threads and also from personal friends that even if they have
a pending petition their tourist visa application was still approved. The consul asked them
about it and they just truthfully said yes.

Ang tagal naman kasi ng ibang petition, running for 10 years at the minimum, parang
hindi naman ganun ka bad ang us immigration and consuls to not allow you to visit the US ng isang decade.

Just prove your ties here in the Philippines. Its not impossible but its also not easy.

@Vera, thank you so much. I've been putting off our travel plans to visit the states because i'm scared to be grilled or deported back to the Philippines. I'll just say that my strongest tie is my husband and my husband for sure will go back to Manila.

I went to US before even though I am under a petition (F4). I'm sure everybody here knows how LONG  ang processing ng F4 category, so hindi nga siguro makaka affect if mag tourist visa muna. Bottom line is, you have to show and prove to them na you will return to the Philippines right after the wedding. In my case, the consul was a bit doubtful pa kasi aside sa pupuntahan kong seminar, i told him na i will visit my uncle there, the one who petitioned our family. Pero nabigyan pa din ako. Prayers lang din.

Proof rin lang ang hanap nila para bumalik, sapat na siguro na sabihin ng husband ko na may newborn son sya na babalikan at 10 y/o daughter at 2 bahay under his name.

Didn't you say your husband is a US Citizen living in the Philippines? That does not constitute legal ties to the Philippines.

Some examples of legal ties that you can show to the U.S. Embassy:

Property ownership - deeds, escrow documents, etc.
Employment records - paystubs, letter from employer, tax returns, etc.
Family obligations - School records of children, etc.

hi sisses. i'm new to this thread, i have a few questions lang sana, i hope matulungan nyo ako.

Is it possible for a permanent resident to petition his illegitimate daughter (married and more than 21 yo) to the US? nababasa ko kasi only USC can petition their married children. And, i read na kapag illegitimate, kelangan ng DNA test. do you guys have an idea how much this costs?

And, is it possible for a USC to petition her half sister (married and more than 21 yo) to the US?

I have a question regarding sa interview, after ba maging case complete sino ba magse set ng interview ?
NVC ba or kelangan tumawag sa embassy para magpa schedule ng interview?

^sis, pag IR petitions sila mismo magse-set ng interview. the applicant and petitioner and/or agent will receive the notice thru email. usually a month before yung actual interview date.

My husband sent off the 1-130 last august 26 via usps it was delivered on aug 28.
Waiting for Noa1, sana mabilis lang ang process or else baka mag naturalized na lang sya to speed up the process. Sana wag abutin ng retrogession
