thanks sis yby2476. we'll really buy baht here na. kakatawag palang namin sa czarina kanina to reserve baht. nakakatakot kasi late na kami magpareserve! jan 10 na ang alis namin sana may makuha kami.

today, nagpunta kami bpi and bdo and SM forex, di pala nakakabili ng baht sa mga ito.

ang bpi yata pwede, pero matagal silang makahanap or something...kami nun, hay nakalimutan namin bumili, kaya nung paalis na kami, wala nang avai sa czarina, we have to go pa to their main branch, kaso tinamad na rin...lugi kasi kung ipapalit mo yung peso or yung dollar mo...

I'm interested to see Ancient City kasi it houses Thailand in a nutshell *daw*. Super must-see ba si Grand Palace?

           Erawan Shrine
           Siam Ocean World
           More shopping and walking around BKK
           
DAY 5: Flight back to MNL, 0035


Sad kasi I can't fit in Siam Niramit. Pls suggest which to skip and which to add!

sis herroyalbleakness-pupunta ka pala ng pattaya...nice...yung ancient city ba na sinasabi mo ayutthaya? kung pupunta ka na ayutthaya, huwag ka nang mag-[textspeak!] po...kasi pareho lang din yung makikita mo...di rin kami nag-grand palace, kasi parang ganun din daw sa ayutthaya...inuna kasi namin ang ayutthaya, one whole day kami dun...then the ff day, supposedly grand place/[textspeak!] po...kaso naumay kami sa buong araw na puro mga buddhas...kaya sabi namin mag-shopping na lang ulit...:-)

although if ever magkakaroon ulit ng chance pumunta ng bangkok, [textspeak!], mag-grand palace kami...pero dont skip the ayutthaya experience...

Hi sisses! Here's our itinerary for our bangkok tripnon january 8 to 11:

Jan 8: arrive in bangkok at 8:20 am. Hotel check in at 10:30am. Lunch and shopping at mbk. Shopping at platinum mall and pratunam market. Dinner at Greyhound Cafe in Siam Paragon.

Jan 9: half day city tour with grand palace and emerald buddha. Rest at the hotel. Chao praya princess dinner cruise

Jan 10: lunch at Crystal Jade Siam Paragon. Shopping in siam paragon, siam discovery madame tussauds, dinner at central world plaza.

Jan 11: shopping and food trip in siam area until 8pm.

Paki comment nalang sa iti namin ni hubby sisses. Please recommend other good restos or fast foods jn siam area. Thanks

@sis herroyalbleakness-di ko yata alam yung ancient city na yan...within bangkok lang din yan? sayang naman at di ka makakapunta ng ayutthaya...2 hrs from bkk lang naman din siya...

^ Pareho silang parang Greenhills type na de-tawad.  Sa Platinum, wholesale price na basta 3 or more ang kukunin mo.  I got leather sandals there for around 180 Baht each, at matibay siya, sarap din sa feet.  Good deal yun kasi 2 pairs binili ko tapos pumayag na sa wholesale price (250 Baht pag tig-isa lang).  Mga shirts okay din ang mumu lang, pati mga pashmina (pasalubong ko sa mom and titas ko).  Nakabili din ako ng fake makeup brushes.  At ayos pa hanggang ngayon.

Nakakaumay kung silang 2 ay pupuntahan mo kasi ang laki ng MBK and mas malaki pa yata ang Platinum (6 or 8 floors I think), unless ititinda mo hahaha.

Kung ano mas malapit sa hotel mo, doon ka na lang.

Don't forget to go to Siam Paragon.  I love that mall haha.  Ang ganda ng cosmetics department doon, complete and mababait ang mga SA.

Thanks sis marose! Mbk is connected to our hotel so i'm sure mas marami time ko dun. Nakakaumay na pala pag 2 silang pupuntahan ko. Hehe. Pag may extra time we might also go to pratunam. Nasa itinerary ko talaga ang Siam Paragon sis mukhang maganda dun eh and daming restos din. Thanks so much sis

Sisses, sabi ng auntie ko marami daw yummy na chichirya sa bangkok like yung lay's na special flavors and marami pa daw klaseng chichirya. Meron kaya nito sa mbk? Or do i need to go to big c? Until now i haven't really finalized our itinerary yet kasi di ko alam kung ano mga dapat unahin puntahan. Hehe basta yung 2nd day namin puro tours yun and dinner cruise. Thanks

Has anyone tried the buffet at the baiyoke sky restaurant? Sa oriental escape kasi it's 750baht per head with dinner and ticket to the revolving deck then add pa ng 900baht for the private car. I wanna give it a try but i wanna know if it's worth it. Sorry ha dami kong queations it will be our 1st time in bangkok kasi and i just want to maximize our time there. Baka kasi matagalan ulit kami makabalik dun because most of our trips are to hk and sg. Thanks

while backreading, i noted:

1) mbk is pretty much like 168
2) platinum has tons of fashionable items and the selection greatly varies (versus MBK na paulit ulit yung style)
3) Pratunam carries items that you can see sa platinum (the exact same pieces daw) at a LOWER cost.

I concluded, better to check out pratunam first then sa platinum then sa mbk. sana pala we booked somewhere near the pratunam/platinum area... sa MBK kami malapit eh. Platinum/Pratunam closes at 3pm daw
