I bought mine from MG Forex in binondo can anyone recommend good restos in siam paragon, siam discovery, siam square and central world plaza? Greyhound Cafe and Crystal Jade in Siam Paragon palang nasa list ko eh. Thanks

I love Thailand! :-)  Super mura ng mga clothes dun and the mango... sooooo good! Super tamis! :-)

Btw, u can buy baht sa Czarina Forex sis, but you have to call and make a reservation first esp. this December daw, dami nagpapa reserve.

@princesslorraine, Bangkok is heaven for foodies.  Kahit food sa food court, masarap!  If you are a bit adventurous, you can try the markets too.  The best pad thai and som tam I've had were in the night market.  Sa MBK masarap din ang food sa food court and grabe, super cheap.  There's also the seafood place that my friends went to - forgot the name but it's quite popular eh.  The crabs were awesome daw and the staff make himay for you.

If you want fine dining at a very reasonable price, I highly recommend Praya Palazzo. It's a house by the river transformed into a boutique hotel and fine dining restaurant.  Off the beaten path but I guarantee a unique dining experience and delicious, authentic Thai food.  You have to make a reservation by calling or sending an email.   I love the tom ca gai at PP.

Thank you so much for the suggestions sis marose we will be having lunch on our 1st day at mbk food court since our hotel is located just beside mbk i'll try to look for praya palazzo also. Thank you sis

^ sis take note that there are 2 food courts sa MBK; 5th & 6th floors.

The one on the 5th floor is called Fifth Food Avenue (international food hall) i.e. Indian, Indonesian, Greek etc. THB100 up and price range dito.

When you enter here they'll hand you a card na ipapa-swipe mo sa station where you order your food. Tapos before exiting the food court you'll hand the card sa cashier then pay there. There's also a service charge on top of your bill. Also, present your passport so you can get a free glass of Thai Iced Tea (THB55 rin ata yun).

The one on the 6th floor is cheaper e.g. THB30-THB60 per meal may mabibili ka na. Here naman you'll have to change your THB to coupons then yun ang ipambabayad mo sa stalls. If di niyo maubos yung coupons, you can ask for the remaining coupons to be refunded

I ordered kasi tiger prawns from the Indonesian station (Jimbaran, Bali) and yes masarap. Malaki rin ang serving. Yung kay BF naman na lamb something from the Indian station, nagustuhan niya rin. So sulit din naman kahit na THB200 and THB180 respectively ang price.

Actually nung first day kasi naman nagkamali kami. Dun kami sa 5th floor kumain tapos saka kami umakyat sa 6th floor. Dun lang namin nakita na yun ang mas mura hahaha so the following day, dun na kami sa 6th floor kumain. Well malaki rin yung difference sa serving size, presentation, at ingredients syempre

just got back from bkk last tuesday. super ok s four seasons int'l. house very near pratunam and platinum mall.. at pglabas ng hotel nandun  na ang pratunam market, at nagkalat na ang tiaggehan.. at within d hotel my bagong bukas na shopping plaza ok mga  paninda medyo pili n kumpara sa pratunam na  nakakahilong mamili s sobrang dami ng mga paninda.at ang breakfast sa hotel ok na ok super busog kami kumpleto my vegetable salad, toasted bread with pineapple and strawberry jam,fruits and everyday iba ang menu, coffee at juices ang drinks.

We are planning our first out of the country vacation here at Bangkok next year. Mga ganu na karaming clothes ang mabibili ng 5000 Bath? Estimate lang. hehe Balak talaga namin na mag shopping!

Kakaexcite naman dami na palang mabibili sa 5000baht! Hubby and I will be in bangkok from jan 8 to 11. I think enough na yung 15000 baht na pocket money namin for food and shopping. Exciting

We were there two weeks ago and walang kabakas-bakas ng baha sa Bangkok (although meron pa ring mga sandbags in some places)
