I am an HSSian graduate, and went to SHS in highschool. I love how they taught me everything I needed to know in life to succeed.

I am just 25 years old, earning AUD$100,000 (australian dollars) as a home finance manager for a major bank here in Australia.

I finished my college degree in New Zealand, and I am now working in Australia.
Magaling mag train mga teachers, with compassion pero disiplina is there no matter what.

Hindi din ganon ka boy focussed mga taga holy unlike miriam, poveda and assumption!

^  I can attest to not being boy-crazy (generally) of girls from Holy.  Sa batch din namin, I am proud to say maraming professionals and doing very well in their chosen career.

after a lot of consideration, i finally decided to transfer my grade schooler to HSS (ylang-ylang). tuition fee wise, it's a lot cheaper than other exclusive scools. miriam is my 1st choice but thinking of the number of students per classroom & sections, i was quite worried that my daughter may had a hard time adjusting to it being a transferee. plus the traffic situation in katipunan, parang kawawa ang anak ko sa pagod at antok...

Oo, iba na sections now. Love, joy, peace, kindness, etc. Tayo dati, azucena, carnation, cattleya, rosal, lily, lotus, vanda, etc. Ahh the good ol days!

Very good choice! My daughter enrolled in SHS (BF QC/IlangIlang) in prep and she graduated Elementary this year. I must say yap napaka sulit ng bayad sa school na yan. Isa pang gusto ko yung values na tinuturo sa kanila. The girls there are value laden. Sa gulo ng mundo ngayon, kailangan natin mejo conservative values. My girls are simple, Isa pa sa magandang ginagawa ng Holy, di sila masyado focused sa academics. Balanced ang mga bata. may sports, clubs, arts. nakaktuwa. At madaming nakakapasa sa UP, and Ateneo sa Colege. Kasi as early as elementary they are groomed for UPCAT.

My sister and I graduated sa HSS. Twelve years ang gap ng batch namin. Sayang nga during our time wala pang high school. I graduated 2000 tapos two years after they launched na the high school department. I could've performed better academically kung hindi ako nagtransfer nung high school. No offense meant sa mga alumnae ng school na yun, pero bumaba talaga ang quality ng education doon. Better talaga ang HSS

HSSians are generally smart and very down-to-earth. We were taught how to pray and the missions of the Church at a young age. Ang ganda lang kasi hanggang ngayon dala-dala pa rin namin yung mga natutunan namin. Also, I now appreciate how they disciplined us back then na kailangan well-groomed ka, proper decorum (maintaining a straight line, keeping right sa staircase!), how to make proper conversation with elders; pati yung discipline na always do your homework or else!!! Hayyy nakatikim ako nang matindi kay Ms. Jacinto and Mrs. Estrella back then! Back then I thought of them as terror but now I am thankful that I received that kind of discipline from them.

Right now my cousin's a Grade 6 student sa HSS. Ok pa rin naman and mukhang improving pa nga. Ang laki na ng campus!!! HSSian sisses, remember nyo yung mushroom tables? Dinemolish na yun to make way for the HS building. If you will also remember yung old house/warehouse near the quadrangle or sa likod ng clinic or dun sa likod ng classroom ng Prep-Gumamela and 2-Jasmin (the old sections, ngayon adjectives na ang gamit nila), wala na rin yun. Tapos gumamit rin sila ng space sa convent para i-extend further yung campus. Ang ganda lang.

Miriam naman is okay. My niece is in Grade 4 right now. Before nga iniisip ng sister ko kung sa HSS ba ulit yung anak nya or try naman sa Miriam. I don't know kung bakit nga sa Miriam, pero ok naman yung niece ko. Nakakatuwa nga yun, kasi yung uniform daw nila may choice ka kung long pants or skirt ang susuotin mo. Although pag first friday raw or institutional mass kailangan naka-skirt. She's always wearing the green uniform pants kasi mas trip daw nya, pero tuwing weekends naman pag lalabas with family laging naka-skirt. Bet na bet ng bagets ang variety.

2000 batch here masarap ang mga santol sa school hahaha.

Sis, you meant batch 2001 ka? Lower batch ko si Trish e. Popular batchmates ko mga beauty queens, like Psyche Resus, Miss Philippines-Earth 2010 and Samantha Purvor, Miss Earth runner-up (if I'm not mistaken). There are also few from lower batch. There's Trish Roque and MJ Marfori of TV5. Jennica Garcia, na nakakalaro ko while waiting for my sundo. Alyssa Gibbs din pala, batchmate ata ni Jennica. Mariz Umali rin of GMA News also came from HSS.

^ OMG!  Naabutan mo pa si Ms. Jacinto?  She was the one who pushed me to improve my handwriting and participate more in class discussions kaya nag-excel ako from grades 4-6.  In fairness, ang ganda ng penmanship ko daw, according to people who know me and I graduated with honors in grade school.

Pansin ko lang mga taga-HSS scholarly and goal-oriented pagdating sa academics.

^Yes sis! Nakakatakot talaga sya kung magalit diba? Pag maingay biglang sisigaw ng "HOLD IT!!!!!" Grabe, Grade 2 pa lang ako nun naririnig ko na syang nagagalit sa kapitbahay naming Grade 3! Tapos dati pa nagtataka ako kung bakit "Tank You" ang pag-tethank-you ng upper batch lalo yung advisory section nya. Yun pala nung Grade 3 kami malaman-laman ko British English ang peg ng lola mo!

Two years ago I visited HSS with my best friend's sister who flew in from Canada. Nandun pa sina Mrs. Montealegre, Mrs. Sumilang (their kids were my batchmates) Mrs. Odero and Mrs. Estrella. Sila na lang ata yung natitirang old-timers e, but nonetheless magagaling magturo. Especially Mrs. Monte! She holds a special place in my heart . During our visit, sila lang talaga ang ineexpect naming makita na naging teachers namin (aside from the others na baka hindi mo na inabutan, sis!) pero lo and behold, nung nagtour kami sa campus we saw this very familiar lady seated in one of those small seats assigned sa mga pre-schoolers up to grade 3. I was like, "Si Ms Jacinto ba yun?!!" I seriously didn't want to believe my eyes! Tapos I think she heard us thinking aloud kung sya nga yun, tumayo sya sa pagkakaupo nya and went out! We went like, "OMG Ms Jacinto!!! We're so happy to see you!!!" She remember our faces pero hindi na nya matandaan ang names namin. Ikaw ba namang ilang dekadang nagturo diba! Tapos konting kwentuhan about how we turned out after our studies. Recently I was able to chat with our other HSS teachers sa FB and asked nga about Ms Jacinto. At that time daw she was just doing consultancy ata and hindi na talaga full-time. Pero right now talagang retired na sya. God knows how much I miss her!

I must also add that kung papipiliin ako kung nag-enjoy ba ako sa grade school or high school, I'd say na mas nag-enjoy ako sa HSS. As I've said earlier, kung may high school na nung panahon namin, hindi talaga ako papalipat!

You know, I also had a better time at HSS than at SHS in BF Homes, QC where I went for high school.  Kung may high school din sa HSS during my time, hindi rin ako lilipat ng campus.  Mas maganda kasi ang camaraderie ng students sa HSS at mas mababait ang teachers - naging teachers ko din by the way sina Mrs. Montealegre and Mrs. Sumilang.   Mrs. Montealegre and Mrs. Lacorte (my Language teacher and grade 6 adviser) are my FB friends.

Oooops! Sorry pala my previous post is soooo off topic! Na-excite ako eh! ehehhehe. Anyway, just to answer the question, I have a daughter who will be turning 3 in October. I am planning on enrolling her in HSS next year.

tanong lang po, medyo naguluhan ako sa address ng Holy spirit School. My husband told me kasi sa Brgy. holy spirit mismo yung school kaya madali lang daw hanapin. so iba pa yung sa cubao campus nila? i mentioned to him yung Ilang-ilang address pero iba yung sinabi nya sa akin.

I am considering HSS kapag lumipat kami sa cubao next year. san banda yung cubao campus nila? any landmarks? Yung lilipatan kasi naming bahay near SM cubao lang.
