just gave birth last Sept 24 at CGH. Again, I think the service all depends on who your OB is. I consider mine as one of the best, not because of her tenure in the field for she's actually quite young still but because of how she handles her patients.
labor room: I can say that the nurses were very attentive and the resident doctors were very pleasant to deal with. Alam ko kasi tatlong shift ang naabutan ko. As in naabutan ko pa yung unang shift na nadatnan ko kasi 20 hours ako naglabor. OB also did not leave me of course. Was admitted at 1am in the morning, OB arrived at 10am, did not leave na ever.
Niloloko pa niya ko kasi nakalagay daw sa pain scale ko "jolly and alert, no pain at all." kasi nga as in nakakajoke pa ko.
Mas kinakabahan pa nga resident doctors sakin kasi 6cm na ko pero sabi nila bakit nakangiti ka pa din. Pero nung nag 7cm na ko, galit galit na. haha. Pero ok pa, chika pa din.
delivery room: again, the nurses did not leave my side. As in chika to the maximum level kami. Mga resident doctors din, chika chika lang. Sila pa nga nahihiya pag magpapaalam sila na kakain muna sila (although may iniiwan naman na kapalit). Sa totoo lang nakwento ko na yata buong buhay ko sa mga nurses at doctors hahaha and sila din chinichika nila yung mga buhay nila sakin
Epidural procedure went without hitch. Pushing, they helped me out.
They did yung unang yakap procedure and pinalatch agad sakin si baby ko
nurses and resident pedia were pleasant to deal with as well
recovery room: kasama ko si baby hanggang recovery room, pinatuloy siyang pinaglatch sakin.
hospital room: nurses are still helpful
all-in-all, i give CGH an 8 out of 10. Ayaw ko lang talaga yung rooms nila hehe. Pati yung sa payment, sa Philhealth, they helped us out.
Total bill was 55k (less philhealth na sa OB, pedia, and anes; 3k yata yung nabawas sa room mismo)
