^^There's no need to be shy about practicing yoga in a studio with other people.

Chances are, no one's going to care if you mess up your routine because they'll be too busy worrying about their own postures.

I was also really shy and hesitant about doing yoga with other people (especially since wala ako kasama), but I took the plunge. It's not a big deal if you're a beginner, really. So no need to be shy.

^ i think it goes for all group exercise classes... Nakakahiya mag isa sa umpisa but once you're there, wala pakelam other attendees kasi concentrated sila sa instructor para makasunod sa steps.

so happy i can finally do sirsasana away from the wall without falling  :D

Who has the number of Yoga Studio in Matahimik St?  I tried their website but it's currently down.

Would any of you know the rates?

I've tried a few classes in Beyond Yoga and also in Yoga Essence in Banawe.  Been following videos I've downloaded online and saved vids from YouTube.
I miss going to class and I need to make sure I'm doing the poses right.

Looking for a QC studio that is affordable.  Hoping you could share some suggestions.

Thanks girls!

hi peeps,

for the longest time, i wanna try yoga. pero simulan ko muna with at-home videos. anong mga mais-suggest niyo?

i came from doing insanity workout vids for 6 months, eh dahil sa new work ko na sobrang stressful di ko na kayang
gawin, kapagod na masyado. i want to start doing yoga muna at home, then later on if i feel na para sa akin ito
i will attend classes naman.

may mais-suggest ba kayo na videos na pwede ko idownload? thanks sisses

-What kind of Yoga that you usually attend?
Ashtanga, Vinyasa flow, hot c class
-How much do you like attending Yoga?
if time permits everyday, 3x a week is good, but I stopped due to busy sked.
-What made you decide to join?
been practicing for 5 yrs.
-How does it affect to your flexibility?
takes practice to achieve full pose. it affects a lot in my posture (refrain from slouching)
-Were you able to carry yourself? How long did you learned it?
takes practice, if you do frequently like 4x a week I guess in a month time, but also depends if you have a good teacher
-How many Yoga mats that you have? What are the colors?  ;D
I have green (1)
Why did you choose that color?
color of nature
-What are the advantage and disadvantage for you in attending Yoga class?
advantage: good posture, serenity.     disadvantage: lousy posture
-Where do you attend Yoga class?
my first time was at fitness 1st, then whenever I'm abroad, then yoga+. I want try anti-gravity yoga. has anyone attended this? I'm curious. please share..

Over a year na since my last bikram yoga session, and gusto ko bumalik.. can anyone suggest a small bikram/hot yoga studio in QC? Nasanay kasi ako sa small studio (yung pinupuntahan ko dati, max 8pax lang kami sa class), feeling ko mas nabibigyan ng attention ng teacher yung pag-correct ng poses..

And.. can anybody give feedback for Bikram Yoga Eastwood and Bikram Yoga Manila (the one in Tomas Morato)? Are they strict with outfit (pwedeng me sleeves?), yung teachers di ba mataray when correcting poses, how big are the classes, etc?

I'm considering enrolling sa Yoga+ pero I want to know more about their hot yoga.

Anyone here tried both Bikram Yoga Manila and the hot yoga sa Yoga+ ? How does it compare?

Sobrang init ba yung hot yoga sa Yoga+ or tolerable naman? :)

Haven't tried Bikyam Yoga Manila yet, but the Hot B / some Hot Hour classes in Yoga+ are similar to the Bikyam classes.
I think the heat is tolerable. Their heaters feel like radiant heat. (Talking about the BGC Studio here, the Makati studio heaters feel somewhat hotter.)

I've attended Bikram (Greenhills) for about a week and its literally like being thrown in a furnace. Sanay naman ako sa heated rooms like saunas, steam bath rooms and the Hot Yoga practice. i actually prefer that since I've low tolerance for low temps.

But my first stab at bikram, it gave me a sickening headache which lasted till the next day. That didn't prompt me though to discontinue and I managed to attend next day's session. I still had a headache but it was of a lesser severity.

The body has to acclimatize with the high temps so expect the headache as I've been told by the foreign instructor. He also said holding the breath for a longer time would help with reducing chances for headaches as you continuously flush your head with oxygen.
