After na ng party ko i-reveal ang caterer... this march naman na din event.
Had problems din with my AA, hindi sya proactive. Dito ko actually nalaman yung caterer na yun 

Which caterer is this?  Para ma-enlighten ang ibang mommies dito.

@m_lim: yes sis may foodtasting by appointment. im scheduled this april and anne even asked me color motif ko kasi she'll do mock set-up din daw.

@cecil65: thanks, siguro nga I should just go through the food tasting then decide na lang then. hindi ko kasi talaga alam ang role ng headwaiter sa event, so dapat pala talaga alam nya lahat ng details

hindi kasi talaga ako sanay magparty, last was 4 yrs ago sa 1st birthday ng eldest namin so nangangapa ako. medyo late na din ako start magprep dahil now ko lang nalaman when my hubby can come home for vacation. praying all will work out, minsan lang ako magpaparty e

sis bibits, sa head waiter kasi lahat pinapasa ang lahat ng details ng party. from the details ng food selection, color motiff, physical arrangement and set-up ng tables pati mga utensils so nandun na siya during the set-up. then during the party, he supervises the waiters para lahat naaasikaso and at the same time sya din nakikipag coordinate what time magpapakain etc. if you have any problem sa food or may need ka sa catering service during the party, sya din point person mo. hope this helps

True if you can finalize all details prior, the head waiter should be able to manage. When I had my food tasting, our head waiter was there and they setup a variety of folded napkins for me to choose. There was a "new" design which they called out to the head waiter to take note of.

That is true, sa head waiter talaga lahat ng details. Pero just make sure na a few days before the event, you request for another meeting with the head waiter to review all the details with him. if you have a party planner, pwede na yung party planner na ang gumawa nun for you. then sila na din magsusupervise na sinusunod ng head waiter yung napag-usapan

^I got them for our daughter's first birthday and the food was delicious! All our guests raved about it and take note, majority of my guests were elderly chinese and they are notorious for being critical of food, especially non-chinese food.

I have tried them also in 2 or 3 parties and their food was always good which is why I got them for my daughter's birthday.

Presentation is nice, they offer linens based on your color theme. Serving dishes use the roll-top, instead of lift top. Salads are served in large martini-like glasses which makes serving not only pretty but less messy. They use lighted pedestals for the buffet so it can also match your color theme.

asked for another quote, I added buffalo wings sa menu and removed nalang the salad, gusto kasi ni husband ng chicken.

nag inquire din pala ko sa red chef, and they sent me their packages, mas pricey sa bistro 109 pero parang ang sasarap din ng line up ng dishes

i'm also considering bistro 109 for my daughter's 1st birthday. their cocktail menu looks fine... now if only i can find a venue!

sis bibits I highly recommend the parmesan crusted fish, roast beef w/ mashed potatoes and maple crusted pork with apples. Super yummy even the leftovers!

I also like their truffle pasta, but not everyone likes the taste of truffle so I got carbonara instead.

sis, no naman. I made my menu so there wasn't anything else too creamy. They have Aglio olio pasta with parma ham too I think (or some kind of ham, can't recall!)

hi sis khriseee! yup i'm getting carbonara, roast beef and the parmesan crusted fish. then now parang i want to add buffalo wings. dunno lang if bagay sya but we'll see
