Our last trip in Bali, we stayed in kuta and seminyak and took a day trip to ubud.  I like kuta the best because our main reason for going to bali is the beach (surfing).  Though a friend recommended that we have to check out Seminyak, we didn't enjoy the place like kuta.  Seminyak is more expensive than kuta and has stronger current.  If you're on a budget, there are a lot of cheaper hotels/resorts in legian and kuta.

For pasalubongs, check out Krisna and the shops at Tanah Lot (mura yung mga shirts dun)

after our japan trip now we're going to bali. been to bali several times so just want some r&r. may recommended ba kayong hotel that is good for a family? we are 3 adults and 1 kid. Like a nice pool and walking distance sa beach. para sa anak ko talaga to so chillax and kain lang.

I've decided that I will book my 2015 trip soon, and it will be to Bali!

Mga sis, okay ba ang 4d3n? I was planning 2 days in Ubud, then the last 2 at Seminyak, Legian, or Kuta. The places I want to visit in Ubud are the temples, tapos I want to see dance performances din sana at yung Agung Rai Musem of Art... Kaya ba ang Ubud in 2 days? Yung temples lang sana sa may lake and yung my holy water na pwedeng maligo, solve na ako maka-visit lang ng at least 1 each. Hehe. Planning to stay sa homestay na may view of the rice paddies eh. Hehe.

So, siguro 1 day touring temples, 1 day in Ubud, exploring lang and walking, then 1.5-2 days in the beach. Keri na ba yun? Or kaya pa bang gawing 3 days? These are the places I specifically would like to visit (can't tell the differences between temples, please suggest your must-see temples)

Must-see:
1. Pura Ulun Danu Bratan
2. Tirta Empul
**Pwede bang puntahan tong dalawa in one day? May mga sis ba dito na nagawa yun? Hehe
3. Aman Tayun Temple - will probably go here pag papunta na ako sa South
4. Agung Rai Museum
+any attraction na hopefully within walking (or biking?) distance from the homestay (have ideas na, pero no final choices pa).

Tegalalang Rice Terraces - based sa maps, madadaanan to on the way to Tirta Empul? Is there another rice terraces attraction?

Mga okay lang sakin na hindi puntahan dahil malayo...
Uluwatu Temple (+other sights? Cliff?)
Tanah Lot - is this really worth it? Parang okay sana kaso kung maraming tao...

Question also, has anyone experienced or gone to the elephant sanctuary? Is it really bad there? As in yung conditions ng elephants?

Last question. Since for the sight-seeing sa temples (na medyo malayo), I will be hiring a driver, (as I've read this is the best way to do tours) paano kaya on days na lilipat lang ako ng hotel? Like if D1, N1, D-2, N2 are in Ubud, how can I go to the South Beach area in D-3? May "taxi" ba na may fixed rates (hindi yung manloloko)?

My gosh, ang hirap pala mag-ayos ng itinerary kung di ka pa nakakapunta. Hehe. Parang sa sobrang dami ng temples, ang hirap i-DIY ng Bali. Hehe. Pero mukhang malaki ang mase-save kung DIY.

Oh, might be going alone, or with my boyfriend, or with my best friend, or both. But planning to finalize first the length of my stay before booking a flight--to seal the deal!

My friends and I spent 4 days 3 nights in Bali last week. We stayed at Koenokoeni Villa at Seminyak.

Activities and sightseeing we tried:
- Whitewater rafting
- Mother Temple on Mount Agung
- Kintamani
- Art Village at Ubud
- Kuta Beach

Bars and clubs
- Potato Head
- W Hotel bar
- Ku De Ta
- Mamasan

Taxis are easy to flag down. Be sure to request for metered taxis, especially at night, otherwise you will be charged a bomb. Activate your mobile data plan so you can check google maps to be sure that the cab driver won't take you on endless rounds.

All in all, Bali was awesome!!

^Hi sis. Was the Mother Temple the only temple you went to? Gaano ito kalayo sa Seminyak? And did you hire a driver? (My guess is that taxi lang since Mother Temple and Kintamani lang yung pinuntahan niyo sa malayo)?

me and my friends decided to stay in Kuta rather than Ubud and Seminyak. affordable kasi yung hotels. we're staying at Grand Inna Kuta. Beach front. I hope we made the right decision

Where in Kuta can I watch a football game?  Are there bars or pubs which broadcast games? How's the atmosphere?  I know that Indonesia is a football-crazy nation.  I'll be in Bali next month in time for the World Cup and I fancy watching a game from a bar rather than inside my hotel room.

Just got back from a 3 day short trip to Bali (pal flight pa!). We stayed in The Laguna, nusa dua. So nice resort with beautiful settings settings and pools. Napakalaking resort kaya bitin kami Anyway, just sharing our our itinerary:

day1 - arrive midnight. sleep
day2 - am: temple run @ tanah lot and beratan temple
          lunch with the view of rice terraces
          pm: chillax time at the resort.
day3 - am: chillax time pa din!
          12nn check out
          Day tour ubud - on the way we opted to pass by at a coffee plantation, my friend bought this
          luwak coffee and also, she bought something at a silver shop. Then monkey forest, tegalalang
          rice terraces and shop at krisna, then drop off at the airport for late night flight.

Im sure binabasa nyo pa lang na pagod na kayo haha

Me iba pang ino offer si driver guide na puntahan pero most are temples pa din, di namin hilig - ok na kami sa 2 :-)

I was not able to get the driver/guide recommended here kasi di na sila available sa dates namin. I tried Ary, he's good and nice and same lang din rate nya among others. PM me if you wanted to get his contact number. Highly recommendable :-)

^LOL sis, napagod ako! Haha! Wow, maiksi lang. Naisip ko kasi 4 days para at least matagal-tagal makapag-relax, tapos 2 temples lang naman gusto ko makita (yung nasa lake plus yung may tubig--kaso magkalayo), tapos rice terraces and tour sa Ubud. Yun lang. Parang kaya naman yun pala in one day, tapos the extra days, sa beach/resort lang.

will be in Bali tomorrow 'til monday night (May 24-26). contacted japanyoman/pesan asli but he was already booked so he recommended his partner. cost of car for 1 day trip is IDR 450k (petrol + driver). we wanted to do the white water rafting so this is the itinerary he suggested:

day 1
pickup from airport
uluwatu temple
jimbaran dinner

day 2
rafting
explore ubud area
batuan temple

day 3
city tour
tanah lot
cheap shopping at kuta

we want to try beach surfing, so we'll try to squeeze it in our day 2 or 3. at manood na rin ng movie (x-men). excited for tomorrow!

sis jazzlawyer, e-mail add lang nya nasave ko, pero nakakareply naman sya - japanyoman92@yahoo.com. sya na yung naging guide/driver namin, nagpalit yata sila ng partner nya. yung rate, parehas lang sa rates ng ibang sissies natin na nakapag-avail sa kanya 'pag nag-back read ka. although parang namahalan ako kasi kahit half day tour e whole rate pa rin ang bayad. nung first day kasi namin, hapon dating kaya half day lang, tapos 2 hrs pa sya nag-abang sa airport, haba kasi pila sa immigration e. pero ok na rin kasi pakiramdam ko safe kami sa kanya kahit mag-iwan ng important valuables. tsaka mabait nga talaga sya gaya ng sabi ng iba dito. yup, sya nag-suggest ng itinerary pero pwede rin kayo gumawa ng sarili nyo.

Hi mga sis, will be going to Indonesia soon. Ask ko lang, from an agent ba yung Japanyoman? Kasi I want to know kung legit ba siya. I mean, sa akin,  based from the old posts, he seems like a great choice for tours but I want to sound like this is a safe choice if I pitch this to my parents. Hopefully anyone can enlighten me on this matter

^ I'm meeting Japanyoman's partner this weekend.  He seems legit based on reviews here.  I understand that he is a freelance (not connected with an agency) driver  who arranges tours.  I'll post my feedback after my trip.  Here in Bali now but work first before pleasure hehe.
