LIVE something.. pero may bad feedback officemate ko.. she got the $39 deal on photography lessons.. wala daw tinuro.. pinakita lang daw ang camera nya and that's it.. pero meron silang ibang deal na Turi beach na tempting..

pwede ba yun i-combine ang hsbc at groupon vouchers? nagregister ako sa groupon, bigdeals at deal.com.sg. tanong ko lang, nag like kasi ako sa groupon fanpage nila sa facebook. tingin ko mas complete ang mga deals doon. or di ko lang alam paano hanapin sa website nila? kasi di naman complete ang mga previous deals nila doon. although if you click the link from facebook, it would direct you to their site. $:-\$

thanks sis for the info. kahit siguro dependent siya ng PR na relative niya sa SG hindi i-aaprove ng consul diba? kasi ang alam ko din dapat ma-i prove niya na kaya niya suportahan, e wala pa nga siya work sa SG, iniisip na niya kaagad kung paano maka kuha ng US tourist visa. kaloka diba? hehe
may sinasabi pa siya na papalabasin daw na may business permit siya kaya siya tourist sa SG, posible kaya yun? hay bahala na siya, kung ako sa kanya, maghahanap na lang muna ako ng stable job sa SG kesa mag waste ng time mag apply ng US visa diba, e ayaw niya makinig sa akin e. so bahala siya. hehe

^ add to that the recent elections.. I dont know kung magkakaron yun ng effect pero since the opposition is strong baka maging strict-er(est) din ang immigration policies nila talaga... i dont know.. just my opinion/thought..

Mga sisses here in SG, do you have time deposit accounts here? pa share naman po which bank has the best interest rate? I'm thinking kasi talaga of having one.. though I dont want to keep it for really long time siguro mga 5 years(?).. kasi I wouldnt really know what will happen in the future.. mamaya di na i renew PR namin.. (na sana naman wag mangyari... pero who knows diba..).. ayun napahaba na.. hehe.. sorry.. hehe.. Kasi my current bank is citibank tapos ang minimum nila for a time deposit is $10k haay.. medyo mataas kasi.. i dont know pa for other banks.. and hindi din naman ako magaling sa mga financial analysis na yan.. hehe

Also, I'm thinking of also opening sa PH na bank account coz I never had one eh.. hehe ( I just used the atm of my parents para dun nila icredit yung mga allowance ko for school).. but thats for another time siguro pag umuwi kami then magopen ako ng bank acct sa pinas..

chinkee, hindi kami nagtitime deposit.. instead, we took the long term fund investment from Aviva (Moneysmart for Ladies) na naka-tie up with DBS.. another one we got is from Prudential (China-india fund) na short-term naman..

Aviva na nakuha ko was in 2005.. mag mamature na sya this year

so i would recommend you to get one as early as now kasi hindi mo mapapansin ang panahon..

Ang Prudential ko naman, you can withdraw the money anytime as long as you retain $1,500 sa account mo which they will use in the event of a lapse sa monthly premium mo..

Note that I didnt get any rider for Aviva and Prudential.. Instead, i took a separate insurance policy with AIA.. and since PR naman, meron din naman Medisave and ang insurance sa company namin..

@yapeegurl: feeling ko nga may balak siya mag TNT. kaya hindi ko siya sinusuportahan sa mga plans niya. bahala talaga siya. tsk tsk

mga pinoy talaga oh, kaya kawawa tayong mga obedient sa rules. ako nga 5 years ang hinintay ko para ma file ang petition at talagang in a legal way lahat. pero may mga pinoy talaga na likas na matitigas ang ulo. tsk tsk.

been working for a week now, so thankful kasi hinde lang ako ang nakahanap ng work but all of my friends, bale 5 kami and all of us were able to find a job and approved ang work pass. tyagaan lang talaga and prayers too

Hi mga sis,

joining in to seek and enlightenment.. Im planning sana to try my luck and magwork sa SG, my brother is working as an engineer jan sa SG and he's been lucky enough to get a job after a month, ok kasi ang credentials nya since he graduated from a reputable university. He and parents are willing to help me regarding sa finances pagpunta doon pero ang dilemma ko kasi sa callcenter industry ako, been working for the same company for 4 years however undergraduate ako, looking at the requirements plang sa monster.sg and jobstreet nawawalan nko ng pag asa since college graduate ang kailangan. nagsumbit nko ng mga CV sa ibat ibang company pero wlang luck

ayoko kasi itake and risk na umalis using my parents money na wlang assurance na mkakahanap ako ng tabaho.. I'll have my backpay pero enough lang to let me stay in a month.. hope you can share your thoughts mga sis! TIA

@ girl_capricorn - sis, di ako sure sa case mo, try to read sa pinoysg.com/forums madami kang makukuhang info dun re: finding a job/working in singapore etc. masasabi ko lang sometimes, you really have to take a risk, nagresign ako sa work ko, plus yung money ko sinugal ko talaga meaning uuwi ako ng ubos ang savings pag wala akong nahanap na work, that's just me though. madami din kasi advices na wag kang magreresign muna, have a fall back etc, pero pasaway pa din ako! hehe

yung isa kong friend until now di pa rin nagpupunta dito, gusto niya kasi meron employer na super interested sa kanya bago siya pumunta. Unfortunately, wala pa din.

magpapavaccine din ako balang araw. di pa pwede ngayon kasi you can't get pregnant within 6 months daw. no choice kung mahal kasi wala naman tayo sa pinas at 3 shots daw ang kailangan with intervals/shot. at least, di double ang price. LOL
