Of course. Nagpapaalam naman yung yaya ni Aidan e. Hindi ako madamot sa mga katulog and I don't treat them as katulong.

our helper and yaya eat the same food that we eat like for lunch and dinner.
pero sa brand (coffee, peanut butter etc.)we get the cheaper ones for them.
pag snacks for my son of course hands off sila.

Before when I was still single, we have a small fridge upstairs where we keep food that are exclusive for us to consume. But if there are bulky stuff that needed to be in the big fridge, we put it in the common fridge. Most of the time, the helpers don't get anything unless we tell them. And my nanay usually shares with them.

Now that I'm married, we only have one fridge in the house. Our helper doesn't touch our food unless I tell her to do so. And maarte tong helper, minsan bumibili ng sarili niyang chocolates. o ha!

Normally, our foods are off limits.  But I have seen our helpers eat our food like sphagetti and I don't know if they eat other foods pa.  The helper that stole from me told me na she likes to eat Chicken nga daw eh.

When I have my own place, dapat talaga iba rin ang food nila baka umabuso.  Na experience ko na to with the helper I just sent away and until now traumatized parin ako, thanks to VNE who gave her to me.

Yes. and fortunately, wala pa namang umabuso, like nauubos ang stocks/snacks namin in one day.   But I had one HH who said na hindi siya mahilig sa biscuits, pero nauubos niya isang balot (with 12 snack packs) in 3 days.

Naalala ko din yong other HH namin dati, who refused to eat whatever we eat.  Snacks, meat viands, desserts/pastires... just anything. That I don't subscribe, obviously. Believe me, she's good at cleaning our house, and doing laundry.  But because of her odd beliefs, hindi ko siya gusto... at nahirapan ako maghanap ng reason to fire her.  Mabuti na lang at umuwi siya because   of her daughter's emergency.  I took that advantage to tell her not to come back though.   Ayoko ng weird na katulong.   :P

1 month na akong walang yaya, at yung recent exyaya ko ngayon ko lang narerealize gaano sya talaga kalakas kumain. yung 25 kilos namin na bigas when she was here 15 days lang, now 1 month na mahigit yung sack of rice namin, hindi pa ubos, eh dumaan pa ang ilang ilang get togethers na madami kami isinaing.

sa amin naman wala kaming sinabing bawal nila kainin, actually they are free to get or eat what they want..for the ulam, same din sa amin..but pansin ko mas type nila gulay so nagluluto sila nun, hubby ko kasi di kumakain ng gulay...good thing is di naman sila nagte-take advantage, yes kumukuha sila pero never na nangyari na inubos nila yung laman ng ref, meron silang self-control and siguro nahihiya din ;)

ako when i tell them not to touch something in the ref, i also give them an alternative that they can eat. for example, my husband likes this particular mango jam which is a bit expensive tapos small bottle lang. i tell them they cant touch that but they can get from the other bottle of jam and peanut butter. or if we cook tocino for breakfast, i would tell them to cook something else for them and keep the leftover tocino since it's my daughter's favorite.

yes. pero alam nila what to eat and what not to eat. like yung mga chocolate sa ref or mga food na binili ni daddy, off limits yun.

No. They are not allowed to eat any food they see in the ref. But they have their own snacks, juice or coffee and milo.If we go somewhere, we bring them something too. Not that nagdadamot kami. Fair naman treatment namin. But we are just making it clear that not everything in the ref and pantry they can freely get.Amo ka pa rin. Just like sa Office, libre ka ba kumuha ng chocolates ng Managers at Supervisors niyo?Of course not! May limitation sa lahat. Di porket you treat them as friends, pwede na nilang kainin pagkain niyo sa ref.For me, di ako nahihiya sabihin sa kanila. Binabayaran naman sila eh.So, di lahat LIBRE.Pag we eat out, they eat what we eat also. Di naman sila dine deprive para mangupit or magtakas ng pagkain from the ref.

Im this straight.Dapat kasi may authority ka pa rin towards them. If you are too loose with them, they get so complacent. Pag oras na pag sabihan mo sila.. ayan na sasama na loob nila. sasabihin nila na " di niyo naman ako sinasabihan dati, bakit ngayon sinasabihan nyo na kami?" and all that drama. So, sa umpisa pa lang. Lay all the cards sa kanila.

I dont think that is degrading. That is what is ONLY RIGHT. Kami magkakapatid, we dont eat what they own.Magkakaptid na kami nun ah. If some of the food are for my mom, we leave it alone. Be it with my mom, or any of my siblings. Respect begets respect lang:)
