hi mga sisses... im new in this thread.. i tried to read [textspeak!] mga previous messages... grabe super interesting topics... anyway, meron ba kau pede suggest na hospital and doctor na pede gumawa ng MRM (mastectomy).. [textspeak!] medyo affordable nman kasi my aunt needs to undergo operation.. she's single and matandang dalaga.. so wala kami aasahan na pede tumulong... meron kami nakausap na dr.. he told us to prepare 200 thou for the operation of both breast.. 130 thou if one breast lang... is it fair na ganyan [textspeak!] rate... medyo worried na kami kasi kumikirot daw [textspeak!] left breast nya... anyone who can suggest us hospital and a kind hearted doctor... thanks...

SIS,try nyo sa st.luke's meron sila dun charity kailangan lang matyaga kayo pero worth naman lahat ng pagod nyo.yung mother ko nag undergo ng mastectomy may last year sa right breast nya st.1 pa lang naman pero inadvice na ng mga doctor na tanggalin.almost 23 thou lang ang ginastos namin sa operation nya pero ang totoong bill nya almost 100 thou kasi nga meron silang social service dun.PM mo na lang ako kung may iba ka pang tanong

hi ask ko lang,  i have this itch around my left areola and its surrounding, but on and off.. could it be a sign of breast cancer? should i go to surgeon o derma first? thanks..

mas maganda sis if you can do both na lang. backread ka lang parang may nabasa ako pwedeng allergy lang yan. pero mas maganda kung experts ang kausap mo. hope its nothing bad naman.

Saka, how much po pacheck up sa breast.. Wala naman po sa family namin may cancer. Pero sa father's side ko, may ibang may cyst na di cancerous (not sure). I'm afraid magkaroon ako. 20 pa lang ako pero gusto ko agapan kahit cyst pa lang..

Hi po, now ko lang nakita ito thread. Mom ko po nagkaroon ng pigsa sa lower right breast matagal na pero di po lumabas yung laman sa loob.ngayon nagheal na pero minsan sumasakit daw po. May possibility po ba na maging cancer yun? I‘m worried ayaw nya magpacheck up...Salamat po!

Fourever- Consultation is usually 500 pesos. For the lab examination. it can range from thousands to hundreds of thousands . Usually this are requested depending on history and physical examination and as appropriate.

^^thank you po.. Papaconsult muna ako, minsan kasi masakit left breast ko at minsan parang may kumukurot at minsan itchy yung areola. Di ko alam kung nagiging itchy sya kasi paranoid na ako sa mga nababasa ko. =(

mga sis help naman po. mom ko kasi,meron sya bukol s breast before,tapos tinanggal lump through surgery..tinest yung nakuha sa kanya and it's benign naman daw.this happened 10 years ago.now, meron lumalabas ng blood s areola niya.....  weeks ago,nagpa check up sya s doctor kasi super namumutla sya,sabi anemic daw..also may nakita din na lump s bandang ovaries niya yata..nag pa check up sya pero hindi niya binanggit sa doctor yung history nung s  breast niya.worried ako if signs ito ng cancer..

Gleek- by incidence most common cost of bloody nipple discharge is an intraductal papilloma which is benign .. But better if this is examined and confirmed by a surgeon.

Hello po DocShe! im planning po kasi to undergo excision of breast mass,wala pa naman po ako nacoconsult na surgeon..ask ko lang po sana if there's any restrictions after the operation..kasi worried po ako,kasi may 1 1/2 year old kid po ako and i dont have any 'yaya' kaya baka magka conflict po sa pag-aalaga ko sa baby ko and to the post-operation care...thanks po Doc She in advance!

Hi doc she. I'm feeling some minor discomforts on my left breast. The pain is minimal and bearable, it comes and it goes but it has been two weeks now. It's like something is being stretched inside.I did self breast examination and it was okay. I have an aunt who had breast cancer (sister of my dad) that is why I am most of the time paranoid but scared to undergo a mammogram. I had an ultrasound years ago and results were normal. Should  I worry? Im overweight and into so much stress lately. Hope you can help. TIA

Socxymom- better to have yourself check thoroughly to make sure if surgery is really indicated. Usually after surgery you are advise against strenuous exercises for at least 7 days.

Garei- how old are you? Patient with history of breast cancer are advise mammogram at age 35. This may be due to your hormones but I  would still suggest you follow up with a surgeon for physical examination and peace of mind.

Thanks for the reply DocShe. I'm 38 yrs old./single. Should I undergo a mammogram or ultrasound? If so, do I need to consult an obgyne first?Or just walk-in and have the procedure done? I am really worried and a bit scared for the results.

Just want to rein form everybody that Breast and it's diseases belongs to the field of the Surgeons. Better consult first before doing any exams.

Docshe plz help..need a better explanation about sa result ng breast ultrasound ko plz..

Findings:
Breast sonography reveals echogenic glandular parenchyma.
Hyphoechoic structures within are fatty tissue and mammary ducts.The right breast is demonstrated with an hyphoechoic solid mass in 1'0clock inner zone with well defined borders measuring 1.1x0.4x.08 cm wider than tall.
The left breast is noted with 2 hyphoechoic solid mass with the larger mass at 2'oclock inner zone than tall measuring 2.4x1.1x2.5cm with calcifications within.The smaller mass is at 3'oclock areolar area measuring 0.4x0.5x0.5cm.
The breast masses are with well defined borders.

Impression:
There are well defined hyphoechoic solid masses noted in both breasts,wider than tall with the largest in the left with calcifications. Fibroadenoma may be cnosidered.

Sabi ni doc its 90% not cancerous daw but still im worried. she told me its up to me daw if i want to remove it or leave it nalang but need to keep an eye on it.Pag tanggalin daw ibabiopsy sabay operation na..Gusto ko lang malaman if pwede ibiopsy lang muna without removing the lumps para to make sure na hindi talaga cancerous yong lump..yong aspiration biopsy (how much it cost?) kasi cannot afford 25k yet so i need to wait 3 months pa before ko mapatanggal yong lump:( ..so how much po kaya biopsy lang?

And docshe sometimes nafefeel ko medyo may nararamdaman akong mild na pain sa left breast ko now pero tolerable naman and nawawala-wala po sya.And sometimes itchy yong left breast ko, on and off yong itch. Gusto ko magpasecond opinion kasi hindi ako satisfied sa explanation ng doc.

P.s. nag pa ultrasound pala ako only 1 day after my period..just had my ultrasound last july 14 (thursday)

hi all!  my mom had several ultrasounds and mammograms kasi my lola had breast cancer so she was conscious. im afraid kasi of mammograms since they press on the breasts. so i researched online on what steps to take and found out about thermography. they have it in eastwood. it can detect any activity even years before maging cancer siya talaga. i think it's a better alternative for those na takot sa mammograms. try it. my mom didn't have her mass removed since it wasnt suspicious. monitoring lang and diet changes. the clinic is health quest research, they offer thermal imaging of the breasts. hope this can help.

Mammography is still the modality of choice in early detection of breast cancer. Microcalcifications even before forming a mass maybe seen n the mammogram. Consensus guidelines still advices mammography.
