All about Breast Cancer II

Hi DocShe! I felt a lump on my right breast na medyo masakit (kasi a week or two before my period na yun). I went to my OB, she asked my questions and felt the lump. She said it's most likely benign lalo na kasi magkakamenstruation na ako. She requested for breast ultra sound though para malaman namin.

I went for the breast US after my period na. I noticed na the lump was no longer painful although lumiit siya. I just got the results of the US today and this is what it says:
transverse and sagittal scan of both breasts were obtained. the fatty and glandular tissues are normal.

there is a hypoechoic nodule in the 11 o clock B position of the right breast that measures 0.3 cm in it's widest dimensions. the rest of the quadrants, retroareolar and axillary areas are unremarkable. no ductal ectesia noted. no skin thickening noted. the pectoralis muscles are normal

impression:
solid nodule in the right breast
suggest clinical correlation and short interval follow up
bi rads category 3

Hi everyone, I'm a bit paranoid cause I feel certain shooting pains on my breasts. Do you guys feel the same way from time to time? Is it because you're about to have your period, or is it something I need to get checked for?

My friend recommended that I go to Medical City cause that's where she had her treatment for Breast Cancer. I've been searching online and saw that The Medical City has a Breast Clinic. They specialize on breast cancer preventions and treatments talaga whether you're at risk or already diagnosed.  Has anyone tried it? Please recommend a doctor I can set an appointment with. I'd really appreciate it.

Greta gee- it's still best if you consult a Surgeon for your breast problems and have your breast ultrasound personally reviewed and you personally examined. By incidence, most common would still be a benign breast mass.

Kris rodrigo- it's normal to get breast symptoms especially before your period. But a follow up with a Surgeon and probably a baseline breast ultrasound will be requested.

hi doc she. nagclinic ka pa rin ba sa clinica manila? same sched? its been years na rin na hindi ako nakapagpacheck up although i do ultrasound every 6months as advised. last year parang meron nnman na mejo malaking nodule..i had breast ultrasound yesterday prang dami nnmang nakita mga 10 yata na sinukat sukat..  yoko namang magworry. baka next week i'll pay you a visit for peace of mind. hope maging ok naman. i have me the result of ultrasound..it scared me to death itong ductal extension. i research na it suggest malignancy..  hope hindi naman..ganun ba yun mga sis?

Hello Doc She, My sister is diabetic, natatakot sya magpatanggal ng cyst kahit malaki na and madalas kumikirot... our whole family is worried, baka kasi hindi magheal yung sugat nya... may mga same cases po ba na diabetic pero gumaling naman yung sugat? may iba po bang procedure for diabetic patients? my sister has type 1 diabetes po...

happycloud- first, we have to check if she really need the surgery. Regarding the diabetes, its not a contraindication for surgery. As long as there is no infection, it will not hasten wound healing.

ask ko lang po kung ano ibig sabihin pag may nalabas sa nipple minsan na parang puti. im 24y/o, single at no experience in whatsoever.. hehe.. tapos nasakit din sya before or minsan after ng menstruation. katulad ngayon masakit ang breast ko. katatapos ko lang ng mens last two weeks. natatakot ako na baka iba na to. kasi nasakit talaga sya pag magkakaroon na ako.

if ever ba na magpapa breast ultra sound [textspeak!] makikita ba doon kung may bukol? saan po pwede magpaganun. meron po ba sa clinic nyo ng ganun? please advise. thanks!

^hi sis. have it check for peace of mind pra maaddress na agad kung ano yan. ako rin most of the time masakit boobs ko before menstruation tapos nawwala rin minsan it lasted mga 3 days tapos pag meron na ko wala na. minsan because of our hormones daw. ako every 6 months pa ultrasound meron sa st. lukes,q.c. breast center nila 12th floor cathedral heights. 2300pesos. call them for appointment first i can pm you their contact numbers. oo sis nakkita sa ultrasound kung may cyst or solid nodules.   


mejo hindi na ko sad at super worried slight na lang  because i finally visited doc she, hindi pa rin siya nagbago super cool pa rin. i super love her..so thankful tlaga sa GT. nakaschedule ako for MAMMOTOME on saturday. please pray for me na it will turn out  benign. TIA

ublessedme22- hi there! sorry for the late response. quite busy for the last days. Better to have it checked by a surgeon first then if ultrasound is indicated then have it done. Have your breast ultrasound done in a reputable diagnostic center or hospital.

Pretty smart- it is not a part of the gudelines for breast check up and 2ndly it is not cost effective. The best is still physical examination by a surgeon then ultrasound or mammogram as needed.

hi mga sisses... im new in this thread.. i tried to read [textspeak!] mga previous messages... grabe super interesting topics... anyway, meron ba kau pede suggest na hospital and doctor na pede gumawa ng MRM (mastectomy).. [textspeak!] medyo affordable nman kasi my aunt needs to undergo operation.. she's single and matandang dalaga.. so wala kami aasahan na pede tumulong... meron kami nakausap na dr.. he told us to prepare 200 thou for the operation of both breast.. 130 thou if one breast lang... is it fair na ganyan [textspeak!] rate... medyo worried na kami kasi kumikirot daw [textspeak!] left breast nya... anyone who can suggest us hospital and a kind hearted doctor... thanks...
