Agree.. It's usually 2-3years. The good old 7 year itch has turned into the 2year one in this fast paced age. Girls kasi think men can change through the power of love so they hold on even if meron red flags na sa relationship. For example.. "he's just not so romantic" will seem okay and girls might think it's not too important. But as the years go by you realize you're waiting for something that might never happen and all the quirks you found were so charming in the beginning of the relationship become annoying. At the 2-3 year mark most relationships settle into the comfortable phase so it loses the "Spark" and if either of you are taking things for granted or not working to keep the love alive.. Things can happen.

in my experience, shaky years were 3-5-7. :P

3 years: he wants to cool off with me
5 years: he wants to cool off with me... again
7 years: i broke up with him

long story but it just wasn't going anywhere.

For me, it really depends on the situation. I've been in a relationship for more than five years now. Happy ang first year namin pero may issues parin kami like any other couples. But as years passed, I realized na hindi madali mag-handle ng long-term relationship. Siguro after our second year, doon na kami nagkaroon ng more serious issues. Actually every year, bago kami mag-celebrate ng anniversary nagkakaroon kami ng problem. I don't want to assume that this is the reason behind it, but I'd like to think that it's really part of a relationship. The most important thing is, you both face and handle your issues together. I'm sure malalagpasan niyo ang "shaky years" with your loved ones.

parang combination lang ng padlock yung shaky years ah. sa experience ko, 3-4-5 haha! we're on our 7th year na, so baka 7 year itch naman? hmn. ang sarap tingnan/obserbahan yung pattern.

If you are in your 30's to keep your relationship going for 2-3 years is enough, and should end-up either in marriage or break-up, beyond that is just too much of a waste of our reproductive years with guys who aren't serious with our time. If you met in college or high school, ok Lang tumagal pa kayo ng 5-10 years, pero Sana after that get married na, sayang Kasi na Hindi nag move forward ang relationship into something more permanent.

I think yung first 2-3 years are usually happy, romantic years, after that eh challenging na to keep the romance alive, you really have to work on it na, or meet someone new na.
It's a combination of science (chemicals in our brain) and relationship skills.
Dapat for every argument na daanan Meron na-re-resolve, else forget it. Too much effort and time to repair, rebuild, restore, everything will just recycle every few months or years.

I agree with this, sis! Na first few years, honeymoon stage pa. Basta keep that stage through the years, hindi lang 1-2 years.

My boyfriend and I met in college. Good thing we're both working na. I considered our year after college as one of the hardest. Hirap mag-adjust, more issues pa kasi we're living in diff environment na. But I am thankful because we're still together (for five years now) and we face and resolve our problems together. That's the key! If you really love each other, and you see your future with your partner, I'm sure hindi magiging mahirap yun.

Sabi nila 7th year daw. In our case naman, we broke up 2 months before our 4th year anniversarry. Tapos, nagkabalikan kami after a few weeks and got married. Sabi ng ex bf ko - now my husband, baka pareho lang kami nagsawa sa pagging bf-gf that time. Now, we are married for 3 years and 4th year na namin next year. I really hope na wala nang break ups na mangyayari. hehe

Yung two years possible pa yun kasi yung mga previous relationships ko nagkaka problem kami after two years pero yung last ko, after 6 years I already quit na. Siguro depende sa situation and sa relationship.

we broke up exactly 7 years and 1 day. it was something that was really strong as in straight 7 years na walang lamat. we just finally decided and realized na ayaw na

There's something about the 7th year actually. We broke up on our 7th year. For three months I was dating someone else. Then I realize iba pa rin ang first love. So I came back :) We are married now
