thanks to those who replied in my previous post.
i'm almost 5 months in my work, and umabot na sa 5 digits ang ipon ko. dalawa na rin ang savings account ko, long term savings and short term savings..
yung long term are for my future house and 1st car.
yung short term ko are for my trip abroad and major leisure.
by 2012, middle of the year target ko makapagbukas na ng BPI maxi saver and kung [textspeak!] pang investment na pede sa nagsisimula pa lang.

dati happy go lucky ako..wala ako savings pero nun nabasa ko book nya..na-enlighten ako.

^ Thanks sis I will try to look for that book. Pero I have no regrets of what happened to my own savings, we save for a purpose right? Atleast when I grow old and still childless, I wont look back and think that haven't done anything when I was at this age.  (pero really crossing finger na magkakaroon din ako soon)

About hubby's savings naman, yes definitely it should proceed with investments. Wala bang softcopy yang book na yan, pacopy hehe!

i like them both!  si colayco, mga books nya, very comprehensive kahit di ka financial or accounting grad maintindihan mo. si bob ong, combination of spiritual adviser and business mentor. very comprehensive din mga books nya.

we earned this in less than 10years. im amazed myself, God is good, but what i learned is "it's not how much u earn but how much u save", also "delayed gratification- save the best for last"
