this is definitely a no-no. but my husband sometimes has to carry my bag if the situation calls for it, like if the bag is too heavy for me (when if it contains my cabinet inside hahaha...), when my shoulder pain occurs, if my both hands needs to do something quickly. anyway, these pertains to a big bag not to so classy, funky, girlie, furry ones.

Pwede sumabat? I find it really sweet. As in kilig ako. I tell him talaga na naappreciate ko yun at I show him na happy talaga ako. :D

^ well, what other people think doesn't matter naman.

Like for example my fiance is in longsleeves and tie, tapos I have him carry my really feminine looking office bag, I think it cramps his style.

Kanya-kanya lang siguro talaga.

Kasi ako, I don't want people doing for me what I can do for myself, na-aannoy ako. Gusto ko yung guy na hinahayaan ako, I feel like he believes in me. That's what I find sweet naman. Ayaw ko ng inaalalayan, etc.

Tapos I ask help when I really need it lang.

So, I guess kanya kanya lang talagang preference.

^yes same here naman. i don't ask for help din kapag kaya ko, except dyan. feeling ko lang haba ng hair ko pag pinagdadala nya ko ng bag. babaw e. hehe. siguro dahil na rin sa hindi uber feminine yung bag ko kaya ok lang din sa kanya. i don't think affected yung style nya or siguro dahil hindi kami talaga fashionista :)

i also don't find it sweet. good thing wala nag attempt na gawin sa akin to, coz i really don't like. if its a gym bag, backpack or small luggage bag, go ahead.  :)

^ Me too. Nakaka-annoy for me when guys volunteer to do things I can do, and those na todo-alalay.

Siguro kasi yung dad ko, ayaw nya maging dependent ako. Gusto nya, I can do a lot of things on my own. Pati yung first time ko mag-commute, mag-enroll, sinasabi ng parents ko, try ko na ako lang.

I find it sweeter when the guy only asks kung kaya ko, and if I say kaya ko, leaves me alone.

My partner insists on carrying my bag for me. Kahit anong kulay pa yan wala siyang paki. Good thing im into sporty , leather or yung big canvass bags. Pag magkasama kami, kahit payong he carries it for me. I find it endearing kasi, he's a big guy, parang bondying, tapos bitbit niya bag at payong ko tapos paminsan minsan nagpupunas pa yan ng pawis ko =)) or pinapaypayan ako. Now he's into buying shoes and bags for me na.

I make sure he feels my appreciation naman ;-)

For some reason, i want to carry my gf's bag... whether small or big..
there are times na siya mismo ang tumatanggi kapag kukunin ko na sa kanya yung bag nya. well, she does say na part kasi yun ng style niya.

For my part, i don't really care if i'd look uncool or anything, coz what matters for me is to make lessen the burden of my girl having her stuff. Most of the time, when we are together, i would actually look like a bagero, especially when shopping, and i'm fine with it. Knowing that after a while, she'd get easily tired /feet hurt after walking around, at least i could do something.

However, if she tells me to stop doing it, i'd gladly do so. she's the boss after all :)

(oh yeah, i'm talking about normal days etc., it depends on the scenario. of course i won't do that during parties/events, etc.. if i there's the need to be conscious of how i look in front of other people, then i'd be careful...it's just most of the time, i don't really care what other people think. :) )

I'm appealing to fellow guys in GT.

Please stop carrying your girlfriends/wife's purse. Grocery and shopping bags are fine. I'm talking about the shoulder and handbags they always bring around.

1. this is the final straw to the feminism of men
2. there are countless better ways to be sweet
3. it doesn't make you look more masculine since its only 2-3 pounds
4. It looks ridiculous.
5. You may be mistaken to be gay
6. It is beta male behavior (in contrast to Alpha male behavior)
7. Women who like this gesture actually just like seeing you lose your balls to them
8.  She brought it, let her carry it.

exception:
she needs to free her hands to do something real quick

feel free to add more reasons.

I couldn't agree more. :) For me a bag/purse is also an accessory that's why I should carry it.

I don't let a guy carry my bag din. I wouldn't bring it if di ko kaya. There are lots of other things that he can do for me that can really help me.

if we girls can, then we should. hindi lang sa bags. i think it applies to all. if we are capable we do not need anybody. of course at times we need help but we should be self-sufficient most of the time. and i think it's sexy for a woman to be independent.

^I agree with you sis amelia_eyeheart. I'm sorry but I dont see it a gentleman's act. If you cant carry it, dont bring it. And guys, just a reminder : Ang Tunay na Lalake hindi nagbibitbit ng bag na pambabae. LOL

My bf did this a lot before! But with good reason- I'm very absent minded kasi, that I've become an easy prey to snatchers. Medyo may pagka pack-rat din ako so my bag's usually quite heavier than normal. I'm aware though that there will be people who'll look down on him for doing this so I made him stop anyway. An easy trick to tell your man to stop carrying your bag/purse: tell him your bag is part of your 'look' or getup. kumbaga hindi buo ang 'fashion' mo without it. Thay way, he'll easily hand over the bag to you :)

Almost all of my exes like to carry my bag baka way nga ng pagpapakita ng pagiging sweet. Pero mostly kasi kapag may valuable sa loob ayun guy talaga nagccarry kahit pink pa yan with flowers and bling bling hehe.

Haha. Anyway, choice naman ng couple yan. Walang problema. No big deal. :) And for me it's not a sign of too much dependence o kung anuman. Period. haha.

Never! The only time he did was when we were in the mall and i suddenly had a bad case of pregnancy nausea. But he carried it using his hand and di nakasukbit sa armpit niya.

i bring my gf's bag when its heavy.. if not she brings it on her own..

share ko lang pala..

when the bf of her friend offered to bring his bag full of case files..
