I can say that I am a quite a hoarder.  Looking at articles about minimalism makes me thing that maybe it's time to lessen and give away things I don't use.

Anyone has tips on how to start? to be honest thinking about it gives me a bit of anxiety since I am emotionally attached to most of the items I have.

Baby steps. Don't buy anything you don't need.  If you haven't used an item within a year, dispose of it.  You'll probably not use it anymore.  Like the others, start with a drawer, then move on to your table, etc.  You can do it :)

That's the thing, I always thing what if I will need it. Sometimes, I think I am a lost case.
But, I am thinking to sort my closet before the year ends.

^try reading Goodbye Things by Fumio Sasaki. It might change your mind set regarding the "just in case" things. ;)

^Thanks for the suggestion.   Nakakaengganyo talaga ang maaliwalas na bahay.  This weekend, I hope to start cleaning and sorting out our closet.

Ang hirap maging minimalist, may napanood akong video about minimalist, nagtry ako and there's one thing I noticed na di ko namalayan, ganun na pala ako.

True!

Sa sisses natin with kids, where and how to start?

I have 2 toddlers, 2 and 4.  Ang hirap ata maging minimalist when you have to change their clothes more than 5 times a day and laundry is twice a week only. And disposable diapers everywhere. Honestly, nagu guilty ako sa disposable diapers but I dont have a yaya and hubby and I both work full time. So no time for other things.

I started practicing minimalism since we transferred to a new home. I purged 50% of our things. Super nakakagaan ng feeling kapag walang clutter. I got inspired by The Minimalists and Mari Kondo videos. We're a family of 3 plus 1 helper. My daughter is turning 1. What I'm doing is that, mga nalakihan niyang things/clothes, I donate or sell. That's it. I'm not a hoarder kaya hindi mahirap sa akin to part ways with things that I no longer use. Hindi ko iniisip yung 'just in case'. Like magtatabi ng mga ganitong stuff 'just in case'.

I started minimalism 2 years ago after my trip in the UK. Nakakatuwa dahil mabilis mabenta. Branded + mint condition at such a small amount kaya puro positive feedback customers ko haha. Yung iba pinamigay ko sa helper namin. Masarap sa feelings. Haha.

Now I?m looking for sustainable products like 100% olive oil soap etc.. as my body soap & shampoo & facial soap all in one! Umiiwas na din ako sa plastics. Pag grocery lagi ako may dala green bag. I let go most of my make up & vanity stuff too? ang gamit ko lang now cetaphil & olay moisturiser. Di na ko nagme-make up kahit may rosacea ako yung reddish skin. I?m not against people who use make up because sa true Lang need natin yun sa buhay. Pero I?m 30 & nakikita ko talaga skin ko nagsasuffer from chemicals so iwas iwas na lang.

I also use one bag Lang. Yung longchamp kasi super light & waterproof. I only have 4 pairs of footwear (nude heels, black toms, brown sandals, & sneakers).
