Tips and suggestions on where to stay in Hongkong

Hi mga sis.. I plan to go to Hong Kong maybe this December.. Kasya na ba around 20K-25K (lodging, gala) para sa 4-5 days HK vacation? I plan to go alone.. Pls help to estimate.. Thank you!

we usually stay at marco polo gateway. mabait ang staff. last time we went, they gave us free room upgrade connected sya sa mall at malapit sa mga shops.  walking distance lang din sa avenue of the stars at sa sakayan ng boat papuntang macau.

last thursday nacancel flight namen, then rebooked this coming wednesday, nakareserved kami sana sa golden crown kaso since nacancel ang flight, we have no choice but to cancel the hotel reservation too. Hindi na din kmi mkapagpareserve ulet kasi fully booked na...

Hello. i am a newbie here. dina ako maka read back kasi super haba na..pero sana me mag help sa akin. Here are my questions:

1) Me nakapag HK na ba ng February? how's the weather don pag ganyang month? kasi my hubby and I are bringing our 2 kids (5 yo & 2). Travel date namin is Feb 6-8.

2) What are the most recommended family-friendly hostels.. mejo budget lang kasi kami sana para mas madami mapuntahan.

3) Since 3 days lang kami.. pwde ba magrequest ng best itinerary na maeenjoy ng bagets ko..we don't intend to go to the tiangges there kasi parang feeling ko maguguluhan lang ang bagets ko. Yung mga pang sight seeing at baby friendly places lang po sana..at madaming food na super safe at eatable at tolerable sa panlasang pinoy.

4) safe ba to go around via taxi or best mag MTR?

5) english speaking na ba sila? last time i went there (which was like 15 yrs ago wala pang disneyland), hirap me makipag communicate sa kanila.

6) last..any tips on what to avoid or be aware of para di naman mapahamak bagets ko.

I recommend Golden Crown Guesthouse.
- it's cheap
- good location (very near at TST MTR station), walking distance to The Avenue of The Stars
- they sell discounted OP & Disneyland Tickets
- they have Filipina house keeper 
- easy to find, 13th stop on A21 (airbus) from Airport
- clean rooms
- free wifi, there is a water dispenser and microwave

If you go for a night out, try the ones at Hollywood road. Some of the bars there are owned and manned by Filipinas, very nice people. Mejo corny na sa Lan Kwai Fung e, but there are pretty good ones din dun.

just back from Hongkong and stayed at Metropark Hotel Kowloon (there are 3 others Metropark branch scattered in HK) had a great deal. I chose the Club floor room with free unlimited in room internet, free round trip airport-hotel shuttle service, buffet breakfast for 2, free snacks in the afternoon, free unlimited beer, juices,coffee etc during our entire stay..and free shuttle to shopping areas like mongkok and tsimtsatsui. the staff were very accommodating. they allowed me of an early check in and late check out until 4pm. rate is HKD1300nett

i'm visiting hongkong next week with 2 friends.

we booked with goldencrown guesthouse as recommended by a lot of friends who have been there.
it's kinda hard to book for a room since the place is apparently a hit among backpackers, business travellers and those who are coming back.

 it cost us HKD1500 (roughly Php9k) for 4D/3N which equates to around 3k/head (that's just 1k/night/head). very affordable accommodation lalo na kung tutulugan lang naman. accessible sa avenue of the stars, ferry (for those going to macau), MTR station, shopping district, disney etc.

they have hot&cold shower, wifi (unlimited and in-room, not the wifi na sa lobby lang meron), free drinking water, aircon (although hindi yata namin kailangan to kasi it's winter na by december).

we booked through their website www.goldencrownhk.com. The owner is very hands-on with handling the guests, he answers all my emails promptly and initial deposit may be via credit card. super convenient.

can our ladies here suggest of places to see in hongkong aside from the usual disney, ocean park, peak, avenue of the stars etc.
