^hi sis. so far ako nun nagsplint naging okay yung symmetry ng mukha ko. Before the treatment medyo tabingi ng konti mukha ko, pero konti lang naman. pero in the course of the treatment medyo nacorrect sya. and marami nakapansin na yung mukha ko nagkaron ng shape kahit papano. dati kasi bilog na bilog talaga mukha ko. Now 2nd phase nako. As far as I know the reason why kelangan i-brace is para ma-maintain yung correction na ginawa nun splint sa bite natin.

Hi sis. Medyo hindi na nga bilog yung mukha ko simula nang mag splint ako. Nag improve rin yung symmetry nung una pero may clicking sound pa rin nun. Nagkaproblema nung last resurfacing kasi pi na move sa left side yung bite nang lower teeth kaya gumalaw din yung lips ko sa left kaya di na sya pantay. Pag tiningnan parang sobra sa left yung lower lips ko tapos yung face ko parang medyo tumabingi rin. Sabi nang ortho ko magpapantay rin daw yun kasi gagalaw rin yung lips ko pag nag brace na kasi maaayos rin yung sungki sungki. Pero ilang months o taon ba ako magtitiis na ganito itsura nang mukha ko kasi syempre di naman agad maaayos yun. Yung iba nga ilang taon nag ba brace. Wala naman syang masabi sa akin na definite time na papantay kasi depende daw sa galaw nang ngipin.

Pero kapag ngumunguya ako ng matigas. Like crackers, chips, chicharon, or yung mga fruits like apple... May sharp pain sa ears ko.

sis wag na antayin lumala yan! the sooner the better and easier to cure/deal with

^Hi sis lynsexy. I'm from Paranaque yet I am dra claudz' patient. Nagsipag ako to go to her clinic sa qc kasi wala ako alam sa bandang south area, anyway every 3weeks naman ang visit ko sa kanya. Now I am on my phase 2 na, I'm now wearing braces.

i have this one

nagsimula eto nung nagpabunot ako ng wisdom tooth, 1st tooth extraction pa yun

hindi gumamit ng mouthguard or anything para ma alalayan ang jaw ko..

Wala akong alam noon na may nag e-exist pala na ganitong sakit

Nalaman ko nalang nung nag lock jaw ako then they rushed me to hospital. We thought na mild stroke ako, i can't close my mouth, nahihirapan akong magsalita, iyak nalang ako ng iyak.

Actually twice lang naman nangyari pero sobrang takot ako, nung 1st atake niya, lock jaw ulit pero nung pumasok na kami sa ER ayun bumalik sa normal ang mouth ko. Hindi ko na nakausap ang doctor kasi umalis na ako. Sobrang takot ako. Takot akong malaman na may mild stroke ako..

Then 2nd attack niya, may doctor na talaga na pinasok ang kamay niya sa bunganga ko, then ayun, bumalik sa normal ang jaw alignment ko. Siya ang nag explain sa akin kung ano ang sakit ko.

After nun, hindi na bumalik... kapag nagyu-yawn ako, hindi masyadong buka ang bunganga ko, nilalagay ko ang fist ko sa baba ko para hindi siya masyadong bumuka, hindi na ako kumakain ng masyadong matigas, pero keri pa naman mag BJ... lol

Hi, Gusto ko [textspeak!] magtanong sa mga doctors [textspeak!] sa thread about TMJ.

I actually dont have any jaw difficulty or jaw popping sound nor headache or sleeping difficulty. The only thing I have is facial asymmetry, yun jaw slightly deviating to one side, lopsided ba. By chance, may doctor nakakita sa kin tpos sabi nya palagay nya may TMJ ako and she referred me to her friend who is a TMJ specialist. I did and sabi nga ng TMJ doctor na may TMJ ako at kelangan ko itreat. (wala akong xray ginawa, nagquestion and answer [textspeak!] na consultation)

Medyo bago kasi sa akin ang TMJ, never heard of anyone under TMJ na ang main problem is the facial assymetry. I checked the other symptoms of TMJ, [textspeak!] ang meron [textspeak!] ako is a very mild hearing loss.

Can someone help me assess kung kelangan ko ba itry itong TMJ? Worry ko [textspeak!] na wala akong nafefeel na pain whatsoever, parang kung gagawin ko itong TMJ it's more of aesthetics na [textspeak!], additional gastos din so gusto ko sana malaman kung dapat ko bang gawin. Thanks po.

Check with a reputable TMJ specialist. Malalaman naman thru xrays and exams kung may TMJ prob ka talaga. If you have TMD, you need to treat it habang initial palang ang symptoms na nararamdaman mo. Dont wait for it to worsen. You dont wanna feel the pain.

Facial assymetry is one sign. You should be more concerned about the symptoms like pain, head & back aches more than aesthetics..

in born na yung pag kinagat ko yung teeth ko hindi talaga siya pantay.abnormal teeth nga ang tawag ng sister ko sa teeth ko e.is this a sign of TMJ? pls help! TIA

I had facial paralysis (Bell's Palsy), caused by TMJ. Repeated attacks. Wore a splint, never had one again. I'm one for the books.
