I don't think it matters at all who says it first. Wala dapat basehan ang pag-sasabi ng i love you if you feel it talaga.

The question should be when is it appropriate to say the words "I love you"?

Dapat guy. Kung girl ang unang magsasabi nun, the guy will feel obliged to say the same thing. What if he doesn't love the girl at nag-I love you lang sya para di mapahiya si girl?

But personally, I never said it first. And after the initial ILY -- I wait for a few more, a couple weeks more, before reciprocating.
Pride? Ka artehan? Malamang, hesitation due to family history.

hindi pa to nangyayari sakin but i think, when you are deeply in love, you can't help but say those three words. yung lalabas siya thrue your mouth as a whisper.. wow.. sweet!

madalas ako nagsasabi ng i love you pero sabi niya wag daw ako ganun baka daw magsawa ako haha... pag nagilove you ako minsan smile na lang siya pero pag feel niya talaga magsabi bigla na lang mag i love you si bf...

Para sa akin lang naman it doesn't matter though cautios talaga ako sabihin yung word na yun basta basta. Once nasabi mo na kase you can't take it back.
