I baked brownies first before I learned how to cook different dishes. I grew up kasi watching my lola and mom bake. 'Yung lola ko was known for her meringue, banana cake, and cookies. My mom taught me how to bake brownies and pudding. If pancakes are qualified under the cooking category, it was the first dish that I cooked. Kung ulam lang talaga, I think hotdogs, sunny side up eggs, and porkchop and first dishes that I cooked.

I'm not good at cooking like my sis and sister-in-law, pero kaya ko rin naman magluto ng complete meal for my family. 'Yun nga lang, I cannot cook mga complicated na dishes. I can only do 'yung mga madaling pag-aralan at i-master; like adobo (chicken and pork), beef steak, and fried chicken.

Pork Adobo

It was the first time my then bf, now husband was able to come to sleep in my apartment. At dahil puro prito lang ang alam kong lutuin, I asked my officemate what's the easiest dish na lutuin. So bago ako umuwi, binigyan nya ko ng recipe ng adobo. So ayun, I was able to cook adobo at natuwa din ako since then I have tried to cook adobo sa ibat ibang luto. Adobo ng ilokano, sa laguna, ng bulacan, ng pampanga, puting adobo haha!

Adobong chicken and rice.

This is in preparation for my migration. I did not know how to cook anything so the first few weeks of living without Mom or a maid, all my food is either sunog or hilaw.

I've gone a long way from my tag-gutom days. I now even cook lechon at home.
