Mga sis, any suggestions from those who have taken a cruise to Alaska (cruise lines, etc)? thanks!

Hello mga sissies! My bf and I are planning to go on a cruise early next year (we live in florida). Meron ba kaung mai-susuggest na cruise line na na-try nyo na? We're planning to go somewhere in the carribean.. ty sa mga tips!

Maraming cruise lines that depart from Port Canaveral. We went on a cruise last December from Port Canaveral to Bahamas. It was our first time so we booked the shortest one (3 nights) on Carnival. It's really cheap (compared to Disney) and ok naman yung ship. Masarap yung food and maraming activities for the kids and adults. Maliit lang sobra yung pool nila pero the kids enjoyed their water slides. Most of the passengers are families with kids.

Next time we want to try Disney naman, mukhang maganda sobra [textspeak!] ship nila.

first time kong mag cruise (Eastern Mediterranean Cruise Celebrity Equinox). Rome-Greece-Turkey. kung malamig pa sa ship ng mid May, anong outfit ang dapat suotin??? anong activities ang pwede gawin since hindi pwede mag swim dahil malamig?

hi sis depende sa port saka sa cruise yung sa eastern mediterranean sa egypt lang 2-3 days ang stop sa iba 1 day or 8 hrs. lang kasi mahal daw yung pag stop over dun sa ibang port. dress code depende  sa cruise pero sa amin kahit ano lang kung meron lang na announcement na may white party.

Nice I really love Eastern Mediterranean cruise (Norwegian Cruise kami) Italy Spain Departure mo sis? dapat medyo 2 days advance ka para makagala ka pa sa Spain. anyway di ko sure kung malamig pero kasi  kami sobrang lamig January yun pero para safe magdala ka parin. Egypt ba kasama pa rin di ba magulo ngayon dun.. pero kung kasama yun 1 day lang piliin mo saka wag ka kakain ng food saka water wag uminom kung hindi sa hotel galing.  Egypt -Pyramid, Greece- Acropolis, Turkey Grand theater nila yung ruins I forgot Rome- St. Peter Basilica. more on ruins saka lakad dapat naka rubber shoes ka pero sobrang maganda..

im planning to avail of asian cruise late next year or early 2013. ang balak ko from dubai going to hong kong or singapore. royal caribbean lang ang may cruise from dubai to asia. ok ba ang royal caribbean? magdadaan mostly sa indian ports. kailangan ko pa ba kumuha ng visa o pwede kumuha ng visa sa mga ports?

if the country you're going requires a visa then should apply before your trip syempre or else hindi ka palalabasin sa ship ng mga immigration officers. I just cruise last jan 29 - feb 3 in royal caribbean and it was worth it! the ports are singapore-port klang-langkawi-phuket-singapore so visa were not required since its just southeast asia and I'm a Philippine passport holder. before embarkation isusurrender niyo na yung passports and other documents niyo (para ka lang nagcheck-in sa airport) so the ship will be the one in charge on stamping your passports everytime you'll be entering a new country. may access card lang na ipoprovide sa inyo sa tuwing lalabas at papasok kayo sa loob ng barko and this will also serves as your key card on your cabin. this card verification is facilitated by the immigration officers inside the ship.

Hi sisses! I will travel for star cruise virgo on oct 23-28 and i would like toask sisses here if i can bring ipad? How about the internet access? My brother in law formerly work in celebrity cruise he is a marine engineer but work as chemical technician? He advise me not to stay long in the water pool since my hair is chemically treated. The water they used at the swimming pool is highly treated w/ chemical. My question is how long is the barking time in every port? How about the dress code? I have limited time to prepare because of my work load. Inputs are highly appreciated. Thanks.

you should check-in four hours before the ship departs. our cruise ship was royal caribbean and it required us to be on the ship before 2pm though the sailing time was 5pm. during that time we even saw starcruises ship since both cruise liners are based in habourfront centre in SG. singapore din ba ang entry point mo or HK? may dress code sa RC, basta bawal ang shorts and shirts during dinner time and then there were formal nights na dapat nakacocktail dress ka and semi casual nights as well. Mahal ang internet access sa barko, sa royal caribbean kasi its 59 cents (usd) per minute! kaya six days kami walang FB, hehe.... I don't know sa starcruise but I believe everything on cruise ships are priced in usd.

highly recommended ko ang Celebrity Cruise. bago kasi yung ship. nakita ko kasi yung ibang barko pag nag dock at ang dugyot tingnan ng iba.

plan ko next time Alaska route naman. with celebrity pa rin. malinis at maalaga ang mga crew

not sure if it's the same with every other cruise line but based on my experience with holland america-- with the taxes, fees, insurance and mandatory gratuity, the total amount was practically twice the published rate. maybe add 35-45% on extra charges. but that's just an estimate and that's really just for the cruise.

it's all worth it for me, though. super relaxing way to travel and you really get away from everything. you really get to have a vacation. plus cruising is an experience in itself.

to those considering an alaska cruise, i say do it. but i must say, bitin to see alaska from a cruise ship. i wanted to get closer to the icebergs sana pero di puwede. still, it's a good intro to alaska. i want to go back! but di na cruise next time hehe.

Me, this was 2009. Star Cruise sya. Super disappointed ako. Some of it ako nagkamali so lessons learned. December yun so biglaan pati plane ticket mahal. Last minute decision ni ex hub so booked agad kasi when i looked online naka promo yun. Then only to realize mas mura pa din pag sa agency, even pinoys working sa cruise ship said mas mura yun package from travel agency than sa website nila. Then nakalagay sa itinerary is SG-MYS-TH-SG. Yun sa Malaysia, we stayed for 7 hours tapos nagsakay lang sila incoming passengers, grabe! I asked bakit nakagalay dun sa so and so sa email ko is ganito then sabi sakin nun pinoy sa front desk, meron naka state dun maam na magsasakay lang sa malaysia, look nyo mabuti medyo maliit yun. Nun na open ko email ko, sa bottom part, super liit na font naka state nya boarding incoming passengers so on... Misleading talaga! Then mas grabe pa eh nasa laot kami ng 2 days, then one full day sa Phuket then another 2 days balik na SG. So sabi ko after spending 6 digits eh isang araw lang pala mapapasyalan ko? Sana nag europe or nag direct flight ako phuket for a fraction. Then later on nakwento sakin ng mga pinoy waiters dun na reason meron ganun cruise is for gambling talaga. Kaya mas gusto nila matagal at sea. D pa yata open or kakaopen pa lang ng Marina Bay Sands at that time. Before Marina, the only way for chinese people to gamble in a casino is thru cruise ships. Also, compared sa other cruise line na nakita ko, luma na yun sa Star Cruise and mas maliit. Based on my friend recommendation lang yun Star Cruise kaya yun pinili ko. As for the staff, super friendly and helpful sila especially mga pinoys. They gave us tons of food. Maya'y maya ask sila if we want anything for free ito ha LOL. As in super thumbs up sila, bihira daw kasi pinoy na passenger sa kanila kaya super spoiled kami. Even in Phuket, todo help sila pagturo ng kung ano ano kasi lagi naman sila nandun so marami silang alam.
