Vacation on Cruise...questions, tips, & suggestions

still looking for a good deal on cruising japan & far east for April 2011

Na-try ko mag-cruise sa Alaska, Europe and Panama. We paid mga $2-3K per person for a one-week cruise.

Most cruise ships let you eat for free na or should I say kasama na sa bayad yung meals and room service kaya may tendency tumaba talaga pag nag-cruise pero may gym so okay lang.

May midnight buffet pa aside from breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks kaya all we did was eat and join the different activities on board like yung bingo, cooking and dance classes etc. Pwede din mag golf and swimming. May activities din for kids.

Maganda din yung mga production numbers na pinapalabas nila every night. May movie theatre din with free popcorn.

May mga shops, game room, library, casino etc din sa ship.

interested ako sa princess cruise. meron sila far east and japan for 7 days. ok naman ang review kaya lang kids not free unlike sa costa cruise

last jan. we've been in europe for Medittarean Cruise NCL Jade ship 14 days Barcelona Spain yung port then Italy, Greece, Turkey, Egypt & Malta.. tapos ngayon applying for Us Visa for Carribean Cruise naman Miami ang port para sa dec.... napanalunan ko sa raffle nung nag cruise kami. Expense naman depende kung sa season saka anong stateroom saka ilang days... off course excursion mahal din siya lalo na sa rome.

this january my family and i will go on a cruise to mexico. we're excited to join the cruise. it's our 1st cruise.
did you bring specific clothes for the formal dinner?

We had to dress up kasi yun mga foreigners really dressed to the high.  so we women brought evening wear/cocktail dress and the guys naka suit.  basta maraming bling bling pwede na.

i'll keep that in mind. i'll bring a cocktail dress and some jewelry para di naman ako mukang kawawa dun. as in super dressed up yung mga foreigners?

haven't experienced going on a cruise pero i always watch cruise ship diaries. costa serena. and yes they do dress up. bonggang bongga ang mga guests sa suot nila for dining.
ipon pa kami so we can go on a cruise. sana soon! for now watch watch muna on tv.

yes -super dressed up sila.  naka black suit yun mga gentlemen and yun mga ladies, as if pupunta sila sa dinner party sa White House.  Mukhang kawawa ka if you don't dress up.  imagine mo na lang kung anong sinusuot sa mga grammy or emmy awards, ganun sila.  and there are 2 captains nights na you have to dress up.

^wow, sounds so exciting. Going on a cruise would definitely be in our target travel list but it will definitely not gonna hapen anytime soon. The kids are so small pa but the Disney cruise could be an option. Hmmmm...

i cruised 3x already - i had all great experience/s, i may say.  tried 2 european routes na (mediterranean and scandinavian) and 1 asian (japan/china). it's a great alternative for a stress free vacation! u can even meet a lot of new friends! planning on our next na ...

sis, how did you apply for your  visa na ginamit for the cruise?

Sis - you first determined which country has the most ports you are visiting.  or which country are you staying the longest.  sa amin,  we went to 3 italian ports so we had to get our schengen visa from the italian embassy.  sa italian embassy no need for interview.   just send all your docs.  same docs as if you were applying for the us embassy.  pero kami since no interview, we took the extra effort to add more kasi if missing docs, denied na.  call mo yun call center and they will schedule when the pick up will be.  no way for you to choose the date.  perogative na ng operator kung what date niya i-schedule yun pick up.  what she does is she schedules your pick up i think 2-3 weeks before your flight.  14 workings days are processing.  hope that helps
