I bought a 22-inch Bric's folding duffle. Excited na ako to receive it and use it. I don't like checking in bags and if airlines will roll out a rule against wheeled carry-ons, meron akong alternative.

Anyone familiar with Ambassador luggages? Roughly same price as Samsonite pero cute ng colors. Supposedly a German brand. Tapos aluminum yung body.

^That looks interesting and sturdy since the straps go all the way to the bottom. Di ka matakot na bibigay yung straps in case you max out the weight.

I also prefer to travel light for short trips pero wag naman sana ibawal ang wheeled carry-ons if within allowable dimension naman. Hirap magbitbit especially if you have back problems like me.

when i went to Vietnam last weekend, i did not bring luggage since i am going to buy naman

while looking for luggage na mura lang, the sales guy in ben thanh market recommended me to buy kipling crumpler bag, it was light and cool with the pink color.. i love it

^^ i hope not din. i'm a little worried  kasi it seems like paliit nang paliit ang dimensions na inaallow nila, even if they allow the wheeled ones. now im thinking if i should get a 20 inch luggage. i was debating if i should get the 22 inches or the 18 inches pero naliliitan ako masyado sa 18.

Same price lang pala Rimowa from the Rimowa store and Adora. They have 6 months installment for some CC's besides Citibank but for purchases above P35k. Kay Adora, it has to be SINGLE item only. (Ngek!) Hoping to buy a Salsa cabin but still trying to justify the purchase.

I'm not a big fan of wheeled luggage. Too much hassle for me. Para sa akin, it's only really useful if you're taking a taxi or an Uber straight to your hotel from the airport. And most times, I don't want to do this, for me, my itinerary becomes limited if I have to go straight to the hotel upon arrival.

I usually travel extremely light, so carry-on only. The only time I check luggage is for business trips that are over 3 weeks. Anything less, or if for personal travel, check-in lang.

I'm also not a big fan of backpacks, too kiddie para sa akin, haha. I've been searching high and low for the perfect bag, but haven't really found it yet.

Right now I use a Killspencer Weekender as my main bag. It's ok most of the time, but isn't ideal if I'm not filling it up. I've been searching for a more compact replacement, though I haven't found one yet. I came close to getting a Tom Bihn Western Flyer, but I'm not totally sold on it yet.

Gusto ko sana, a bag that rewards packing light, but is able to expand if needed. And something that is rugged enough to take to the likes of Vietnam or Palawan, but is sleek enough for Tokyo or NYC. I've looked at a bunch of Tumi and Samsonite options, but didn't find anything interesting. The Outlier Ultrahigh and the SDR Traveller D3 looked ok, but were too outdoorsy for my taste. I liked the Hard Graft Square1 Holdall, pricey, looks good for urban destinations but not ideal for less urban destinations. I've been scouring the carryology website, pero mukhang I'll end up with 2 bags - one for urban/work and one for 'backpacking' style destinations.

For those looking to pack light - isa lang ang advise ko - merino wool is your friend. Yes, it's pricey, up to 4-5K for a single basic tee-shirt plus shipping pa, since it's hard to come by locally, but it's worth it, IMO. Esp. if you travel a lot. Good as a single layer for hot and humid places, and good as a base layer for colder destinations. And, you can pretty much wear merino wear up to 3-4 days without washing, hindi siya babaho. Just air it out at night. Also, look into companies using "tech wear" fabrics - e.g Outlier, Rapha, ArcTeryx, even some Uniqlo stuff etc.. etc.. madami sila ngayon, puro online only. You'll get 4-way stretch, water resistant stuff, and stuff that is very quick drying and NOT look like you're about to climb Mt Everest.

i bought an Urban bag 4 years ago (max weight is 40 kg pero 30 kg lang nilalagay namin) and till now maayos pa din. this time i'm going to buy another Urban, hard shell/case naman. sale sa SM today. almost 40% din ang discount na makukuha ko for the 2 luggages. 1 cabin other for 20kg luggage.

I bought a turquoise Compass 6 years ago. I travel 3-4 times a year. And all I can say, even if I bought it lang sa SM. Buhay na buhay pa din sya until now.  Never had a problem with the wheels. If anything may mga gasgas sya, but brought on by me as well. My flat in London doesn't have a lift, and I live on the second floor. So everytime I go on holiday, it literally gets dragged one step at a time. From stairs, to the bus stop, to the train station.  I am going home again next year, and am thinking of retiring my old Compass suitcase. It will be 7 years old next year

Have been using Rimowa Salsa Air for quite sometime now but switched to Samsonite Firelite kasi it's even lighter than the former.

Im using the Segue brand of luggage now. I used it na for a couple of trips na like mga 5-6 times.na.on separate occasions long trips pa and all. So far so good matibay sya. It is also light weight like rimowa but durable also cheaper pa. I dont know eho.is selling this brand now though. I saw this brand at s&r before

^For me, no. But of course heavier compared to their polycarbonate bags. I also have a set of their Topas multi-wheels and gamit na gamit ko ito compared to my Salsa and Bolero bags.

Sobrang okay. Genuine yun American Tourister, may invoice pa from Samsonite Philippines. Mukhang old models lang naman. Anong set ang gusto mong buy? May American Tourister na hard case, 8k yun dalawa. Sobrang sulit!
