^Haps, you're very lucky to have manang. I agree with what you said na one of the best signs that your kid is being treated well is when your kid looks for the yaya.

At first my daughter didnt like her yaya, I dont know mapili yata sa ichura anak ko. But when they both adjusted with each other, things became ok naman. I feel happy everytime my daughter would look for her yaya when we go out. Like pag nasa car seat na sya and her yaya's not inside the car yet, she'd go 'Ayin?' (Arlyn). When we came back from our trip recently, she was also so excited to see her yaya pagdating namin sa house. But of course, nothing compared to her excitement when she saw her ultimate kakampi, her mama lola :D

ako naman, may yaya of 2 years had already informed us that she will leave na on june because she'll pursue her studies.  nagpaalam sya when we're in the car with her alaga - my 4 yo daughter.  we were discussing her plans then my daughter suddenly butted in.  she tearfully begged her yaya not to leave with matching nanginginig pa na boses.  after a while, we saw her crying silently - as in tumutulo na lang yung luha and super sad yung face while seating on her yaya's lap.  kakaawa itsura.

one of my yayas cut her 1-month long vacation short when she learned that my husband is leaving for a business trip and I'll be all alone taking care of the kids & attending to all household chores. this yaya who has not gone home for a vacay for more than 2 years even made sure to come back a day before my husband left to help with the ironing. Thank God at nagkakandaloka na ako on how to finish ironing more than a week's worth of business clothes & suits! The yaya even brought home some goodies for us. And kahit kakagaling lang sa travel, sumabak kaagad sa work. Ako ang umaawat kasi roro travel can be so taxing. Kept telling her to just focus lang on the ironing and she can address the cleaning after my husband leaves. Kinabukasan when I woke up, the sala & kitchen were immaculately clean (walls and floors all scrubbed) and that mountain of clothes i left in the basket for folding were all neatly folded. Pinagsabihan ko nga (nicely though) kasi hindi nagpahinga (bad me).

Haps, ganyan din si S with her yaya/all-around maid namin. She got alll excited when she learned that she's coming home.

Hired our househelp when hubby & I pa lang. She used to be a sales lady in tutuban, she came here without knowing anyting as in wala! Then eventually she learned na the chored and even cooking. Suppose to be she's going for a vacation but due ko na un so she decided not to pursue her vacation because mas need ko daw sya aftr giving birth. At first we tried to hire a yaya but our first attempt was not good experience and eventually we decided to just let her be my assistant since I'm a stay home mom dat [textspeak!]. Blessing naman from God eh every year buntis ko haha. The year after yaya pursued her vacation pero nakakatuwa she keeps on calling naman namimiss daw nya kami. Same year before I gave birth to my 2nd baby the other helper left, si yaya na lang mag-isa without questions asked she did all the house chores sa house and around 5th month ni baby i went back to work na leaving yaya & my 2 kids, during afternun while d kids take a nap she can even clean our room, crand nakaka-cook pa sya and do other chores as house and sya din nagwawash ng clothes take note by hands lang ah for all of us here and iron.  May isang time when i had my youngest eh nag-off yung isa hindi na bumalik then yung isa naman lumayas while we're inside d kid's spa good thing my eldest was not wid her, left yaya all by herself again. For almost 2 months sya nanaman again mag-isa wid 3 kids na this time pero wala pa ding angal she did all the chores w/o me ordering her, super na-depress ako [textspeak!] d last maid left she even told me na "kaya natin yan ma'am" oh well.. May kasama na sya ulit now hehe but praying na sana tumagal na sya sa amin. Will be applying her passport to plan to bring her along on our vacation.

re: pamasahe, sis, pwede mo bayaran pero tell her na she should stay for a year.  if she leaves before sya mag-one year, kailangan nya bayaran pamasahe nya.

how long has she been with you?  baka naninibago palang si baby?

Our helper who is currently on vacation called my mom yesterday and gusto na cut short her vacay to come back. I think she's super bored sa kanila cus they dont have electricity and she needs to go to the hilly part of their barrio just so she can get a decent cellphone signal. Anyway, I told my mom na padalhan na ng pamasahe cus mahirap din na wala kameng all-around maid. My yaya na super payatot, hirap na hirap sa chores plus taking care of my toddler. I commend her for doing a good job but ayoko naman ma-burn out sya. Plus, I have 2 nieces (my cousin's daughters) who are staying with us for vacation until their mom comes home from Germany this June. I really thought hinde na balak bumalik ni helper kase lageng bingo yan sa mama ko cus she has a tendency to be maarte and lazy. This maid kase sanay na mag-market, honest naman when it comes to money, and she knows na our standards when it comes to cleanliness.

^Sis where's your location?  I can train her kasi my daughter is already 3 years old madali na alagaan. ;)

Since July 2011 we have no yaya for our daughter it's just our household helper who attends to her.

Would you know how I can contact her?

Thanks in advance sis.

last night mag-iinarte ang bata. i was on skype kaya parang di ako nakaconcentrate sa kanya. she wants to go to Ikea to eat hotdog sandwich. e past 8PM na yun, kaloka. so iyak iyak sya kahit explain explain tapos after a while biglang tumahimik, bumaba sila ni manang jiji pagbalik may ice cream pop na courtesy of manang. tapos good mood na ulet bata, sayaw sayaw, kanta kanta chinese sa skype para matuwa tatay ko. hahaha.

then i talked to manang i said ill pay for the ice cream, blah blah. sana kako himingi na lang sya money pra di na sya nag effort pa from her, she said she saw me busy and nag eemote while chatting kaya di nya na ako istorbo. she knows ill pay her naman daw. hahaha.

LOL

Ako I leave some petty cash sa drawer in the sala. Nothing big, somewhere between php 50-100. Then I replenish if maubos. M wakeS up early & sometimes the yaya brings him down to the fountain & en route they pass by 711 for bananas. Para they don't have to wake me up anymore to ask for money, i placed some change in an accesible place. Baka the same thing can work for you

We have a new yaya, mga two weeks pa lang siya sa amin in replacement of our 3year HH, sobrang natutuwa ako sa kanya magtrabaho, sobrang pulido at hindi na kailangan utusan, lagi ko siya sinasabihan na natutuwa ako sa kanya at appreciated ko ang sipag niya kasi pagdating ko sa bahay wala na akong dapat intindihin unlike with my previous yaya, pero both naman sila mapagkakatiwalaan.

Few days pa lang niya sa amin both kami nasa work ni hubby so we requested our inlaws to visit our house kung andun pa ba sila baka mamaya wala kasi bago pa nga lang hindi ko alam kung mapagkakatiwalaan talaga then naabutan ng in laws ko naglilinis ng bakuran then nakapaligo ang aso pati ang puno namin sinusungkit ang mga sanga na naghuhulog ng dahon, kakatuwa talaga, I am praying that she will stay the same at to improve more and more!!!

My yaya went on her day off last Saturday and came back Sunday morning. I was so surprised to see her come back so early cus I was expecting her late afternoon pa since super bihira sya mag-off. What surprised me even more was that she bought half a kilo of seedless grapes for my daughter since she knew that it's her favorite. I was really touched :)

awa ako sa new yaya ko.  she just turned 19 2 weeks ago.  she sends ALL her sweldo to her parents in the province.  nag-iiwan lang sya for her para sa needs nya.  eldest among 7 kids kaya super inaasahan ng family.

i like her coz she's mabait and malambing.  2 months palang sya sa 'min but i told hubby to increase her sweldo on her 3rd month.

^ i miss our former HH. The one we had 7 years ago. She's my fave and labs na labs ko sya. I was living with my mom p back then and parang yaya ko n sya that time kasi sya nag aasikaso sakin and ako nalng niwang anak there.

Tumawag kasi ang mom nya and pinauwi sya agad agad emergency kasi nagkasakit dad nya. Natutulog ako when she left kaya d na kame nagkausap.

i joined a bazaar 2 months ago and there were a few clothes left unsold.  ang galing ni manang coz she was able to sell it.  binabaan ko lang yung price and konti lang tubo ko pero we sold around 30-40 pcs siguro.  ok na rin kesa matengga lang yung mga clothes sa bahay...  of course, i gave her balato  ;)

I'll share lang my experience with my own yaya when i was a kid..Super bait niya sa akin, sabi pa nga ng mama ko na mas umiiyak pa daw ako pag aalis yung yaya ko kaysa sa kanya..hehe. I called her Ina. Last visit niya sa akin e last 2007 yung married na ako dinalhan pa niya ako ng pasalubong. Then yun na pala yung huli naming pagkikita kasi the next year pumanaw na siya. Sobrang miss ko si Ina.
