im very grateful sa yy ng dau ko kasi napaka bait niya samin especially sa dau ko, 9 mos na siya samin and sabi ko nga pag naka 1 yr na siya iincreasan ko na siya., nakikita ko kasing mahal niya si bea and napaka pasensyosa at tyaga niya lagi pa niyang tinuturan si bea kaya parang may instant tutor din ako, she's 2yo pero ang dami ng alam. we treat her as one of the family na rin pati yung tita niyang hh namin, actually pareho silang ok at mapagkakatiwalaan  :D

we had a longtime maid before who had to leave cause she had to take of her ailing lola. when she got back to the province she setup a small sari-sari store and small carinderia. it flourishing now. her best seller daw was the caldereta i thought her i to cook. nung pumasok kasi yan sa amin ang alam lang is mag-prito at magluto ng sinaing. whenever she goes to manila to buy stuff for her store, she would visit us and would even bring merienda. nakakatuwa kasi you'd see nag-sumikap siya not to be a maid forever

our househelp is very resourceful. since i travel to other countries every month, may mga days na wala ako to buy what the kids need for school etc. she would bike around the village and neigboring community to look for whatever my kids need -- example - sewing kit, barong tagalog, sketchpad.. etc

when my kids are sick, automatic she would cook mga soup and then i found out later from my kids na pinupunasan pala sila pag may lagnat sila. kita ko sa mukha nya na kapag may sakit mga bata she really feels for them.

sometimes kapag nag day off sya she would come home with pasalubong na donuts or bread for us from her own money.

she also taught my kids how to do household chore kaya hayun hindi rin tamad mga anak ko (luto sa rice cooker, pancakes, hotdogs, spam, hugas pinggan, linis kotse).

one of my HHs is exceptional.   i don't actually treat her as maid because she works really well, magaling magluto, magaling maglinis.  kapag tinatamad ako, siya inuutusan ko to pay for our estate tax, and all our utility bills.  walang additional pay, at walang reklamo.    ;D

One of my current yaya (na all around din) really loves my kids and it shows kasi she would read to them, then sobrang tyaga dun sa 3 year old boy kong super hirap pakainin these days.  Then one time na nagday-off paguwi may mga pasalubog na hair clips para sa 2 daughters ko.  Mind you she's far from perfect in terms of her chores pero sobrang masayahin kaya magaan kasama.  Most of all di addict sa cel at t.v. and very trustworthy.  Hopefully, totoong bumalik sya after her vacation in March/finished contract na rin kasi siya.

My daughter's yaya had her day off yesterday. Nakakatuwa lang yung thoughtfulness nya :) I hope she stays with us pa kasi plano na nya umuwi sa province this April. She's been with is for almost 3 years and although hindi sya perfect yaya, hindi matatawaran yung malasakit at pag-aalaga nya sa mga anak ko.

I'm just happy how well-adjusted my new yaya has become na. Plus she's been so proactive na din with cleaning our room and preparing Zoe's things. Wala na ko halos kelangan iutos. Well-adjusted na din sila ni Zoe with each other and hinde na naiinis sa kanya yung anak ko unlike before na ayaw nya sumama.

My son's yaya is a college grad. She just took the board exam for teachers. She's a good tutor and can pronounce properly. I'm lucky to have found her and she loves my son :D

My former HH who just left last march had worked for me for about half a year, ok siya, although syempre may mga flaws din, pero all in all, wala ako problema sa kanya. During her stay, wala akong mga high blood moments. Too bad, she left kasi mag-aasawa and pregnant na din......

happened weeks after my daughter's birthday (March) - we were at ToysRUs looking for something to buy when we passed by the Barbie stall and saw displayed dolls for the movie Barbie in A Mermaid Tale. My daughter can only choose one so naturally she wants Merliah but also likes the mermaid with violet tail, told her we buy it next time - she was okay but sad.

Manang Ji went to me and ask how much was it and i told her the price. she said to get the doll and give as a gift to her alaga. pero when in the counter i told her to give me any amount she has on her wallet, okay lang kahit she cant pay it 100% pero she was persistent. kawawa naman kasi medyo mahal din yun di ba? gusto ko naman na magbigay pa din sya for her selfworth din na "uy, i paid that, regalo ko yan sa alaga ko!"

and its not just once, my daughter would bring her to 7-11 pra buy ng kahit ano (that manang can afford). i didnt know about this until my mother told me na yun pala ginagawa niya pra mag milk effortlessly ang bata. so from then, i leave them allowance pra may datung pang 7-11.

when my mom is here for vacation, she would bring them to a coffee shop tapos magkakape kape sila dun, libre nya. :D

  Indeed. Thank you.

And i think you'll know best when someone is treating your kid as expected is when the child looks for her nanny when she's not around as usual. like last night, our maid needs to meet my friend at the airport to get some padala from the PH, my daughter asked her where she's going, kung malapit lang ba o malayo, if she'll stay long outside or balik agad, so explain si manang. then my daugther told her to be careful, watch her steps, move away from cars, etc etc (my daughter does this to us, now kay manang na) then manang went to her and wants to kiss her but my daughter said no, she wants to kiss manang instead - this one is not common. our daughter doesnt like to kiss, she always wants to be kissed (except for special times) and last night was one of it.

so i believe that manang is really treating my daughter well. I'm happy to have her with us. Maasahan talaga.

We tell her din to love the child na parang kadugo  nya. that she do her best and be responsible especially pag silang 2 na lang because we are leaving her the most special person in our lives so ibig sabihin we trust her that much. she hasn't disappointed us since. :D

^I can relate sa yaya story mo. My previous yaya is like that. And whenever she came back from a day off, my daughter would joyfully greets her.
