Pre-school/Gradeschool in Makati

Hi! ask ko lang baka may alam kayo na sped school na mura lang in makati.. She currently enrolled at preppi school in pasig and masyado mahal at parang wala naman nangyare sa anak ko 7 years old na yung daughter ko and may hearing aid sya.. kung ilalagay naman namin sya sa regular school e baka hindi sya makahabol.. pero willing kaming magasawa na iregular school sya pero yung small number or student lang sana... please share naman ng info.. we tried in st.paul last year pero hindi sya pumasa sa interview dahil nga nahihiya magsalita.. speech delayed din kasi sya.. pero ngayon nagsasalita na sya maayos reader narin sya kaya lang ayaw magbasa gusto lang magcolor and magdrawing.. nagaalala na kami dahil grade 1 na sya pero parang nahuhuli n sya..

^^ Try to inquire at St. Mary of the Woods in Makati.  Ang alam ko regular school siya but may SPED program or it accepts children with special needs.

Have you tried Shine in Pasig?  I understand it's also in Kapitolyo like Preppi School.

hi rayshiel, you can try Kidsplay lab preschool in san antonio village dun nag aral anak ko, pure tagalog kami at home pero in school english sila. kaya na-adapt na ng daughter ko mag english.

though may problem ako, she's fluent in english pero she cannot understand instructions in tagalog so i need to translate pa in english before she fully understand what im asking her to do.

Hello mommies! I need your feedback po sa st.anthony Montessori makati. My daughter is currently enrolled at st.mary's and we're moving makati area next year. Soon to be sahm/wahm (planning palang) and as early as now, scout na kaki ng ok na elementary school. Maybe you can give me an idea how much is their tuition, Kung ok ang Turo, student teacher ratio, safe ba ang place/school I mean strict ba ang security, aircon rooms, and do they have service that caters at citiland pasong tamo.

I read kasi somewhere here din sa SP na around 20k ang tuition sa st.anthony and Grabe matitipid namin from 55k tuition to 20k.

Sa The Playhouse Pre-School nag aral youngest daughter ko. It's in montojo st. lang... We love this school so much.. The school owner, teachers and aides were all nice. Sila yung tipo na nakikinig talaga sa stories ng anak ko.. Medyo talkative kasi yung bunso ko.. Hahaha.. Parang mommy ang approach nila.. Di sila nadidiring punasan ang ilong ng bata pag may sipon.. Never umuwi ang anak ko na madungis o basang basa ng pawis kakalaro.

Everytime may program or activities, potluck lang madalas yung sa food, so less gastos. and ang nakakatuwa, very organized pag may program/activity. Yung mga bata sumusunod. Walang pasaway. Lahat sila nag eenjoy sa ginagawa nila.. nakakatuwa mga activities nila.. Like pag buwan ng wika, they will play tumbang preso, piko, cook lechon, etc..

They have uniform, pero t shirt and short lang.. Allowed naman na kahit ano ang suotin ng bata.. Like my kid, pumapasok sya minsan na naka gown with crown pag trip nya.. Kala mo laging aattend ng party pag papasok.. Sabi nga ng dad nya, sa party ka ba pupunta o sa school? Hahaha..


Na enjoy talaga ng daughter ko pre school years nya.. Hanggang ngayon namimiss parin nya teacher nya.

hi mga sis would like to ask sana kung ano marerecommend nyong school for my 4yr old son he doesn't know how to speak tagalog but he knows a little english pinull out ko kasi sya from his school in the province kasi nagtransfer kami here sa manila.. I want him to learn to speak fluently in english sana sayang naman tambay lang ngayon dito sa house ayoko sana na mafeel awkward sya since he can't communicate with others well. I heard of Kids PlayLab Preschool ok ba sya? since nasa makati lang din kami

^ my eldest is an alumni (naks maka alumni naman parang college na hehe) of kids playlab.  he spent his 2 yrs of preschool.  enjoy sya sa stay nya dun.  its a progressive type of learning.  its more on play, activity ang mode of teaching nila. 

la salle graduates ang may ari ng school.  they're also handling kinder and nursery am classes. 

now, my youngest naman is enrolled in their Nursery 1.

Hello mga mommies! hope this post is not too late. Just want to share with you all our experience with KidsPlayLab in Makati. I was able to enroll my 3-yr-old son in June 2014 but pulled him out in November of the same year. Though we also transferred from makati to taguig by that time but it was not really the main reason why we decided to pull him out (cause we can actually drop and pick up our son there despite our new location -taguig).

My son used to be nursery 2 in kids play lab. One afternoon, my son went home with bruises in both arms. Though when asked, his yaya wasnt able to detect them before they leave the school that afternoon. It was only my older sister, who by chance, visited my son that time saw the bruises.  My sister asked my son and he instantaneously told it was his teacher who did it to him. He narrated how his teacher shook him, holding both of his arms and telling him to sit down.  For a 3 year old boy, i think lying was not an part of the play.  Honestly speaking my son is so makulit and so energetic (which i think is normal for toddlers like him).

We also have a scheduled trial class pero sa February nman yun.
We had an occular visit last week and the facilities are good naman, medyo bothered lang ako kung may mga teacher-issues na pala. Nkakatakot

My son had his trial class in Kidsplaylab. Nagenjoy naman sya, ang concern ko lang ang bata ng teacher as in freshgraduate pa lang at mukhang kaya i-manipulate ng mga kids.  Then yung mga yaya/aide eh nakatunganga lang hindi alert sa kilos ng mga bata.  Halfhearted ako ipasok anak ko unless may mabasa pa ako na good review sa kanila.

my eldest son spent his preschool yrs at kids playlab. he is now grade 1 in one of the big schools in makati.  my 2nd and youngest son is currently at nursery 1 at kids playlab.  no further comment, baka sabihin nag-ma-market na ako.

disclaimer, i have no any relation/s w/ the owner or any staff.  pinili ko sila because im a believer of a progressive method of teaching.  ayaw kong i-stress ang bata at their very early stage.  when i enrolled my youngest last june, as in ABCs, basic shapes, colors and 2 or 3 preschool songs lang ang alam nya.  but now, he can write his first name, he knows the days of the week, months of the yr, that plants came from seeds and it will grow.  btw he's just turning 4 this coming april. 

nursery 1 am teacher, one of their assistants, and one of their guards ay panahon pa ng eldest ko (aside from the kinder and nursery 2 am teachers na sila ang may ari ng school).  i think their efficient enough para matagal sila sa school.

kids playlab is just a small community compare with big schools.  ilan lang ang employees nila.  and im sure they can handle those issues kung meron and if it was brought to their attention.

Hi! My son is turning 5 and at this time we are scouting schools that also have elementary para hindi na palipat lipat if ever.
Any feedback on Golden Values school (prep and elementary) or IMC Guadalupe/Taguig (AC and elementary) also.

Pls help me momsies.. Im torn between kids playlab and playschool for early education.. I think my son will enjoy a  progressive school but the tuition fee is so expensive. Playschool is within my budget range but im worried if my son fits in with their semi structured way of teaching.. Any feedbacks in playschool?

My eldest daughter spent her 2 years also in Kidsplaylab and i know the teachers also and staff are very nice and approachable. I don't think they would do such thing to a child. She just graduated this march from kinder. I am very happy with the school, kasi na-overcome ng daughter ko yung shyness and she can perform on stage and she's having fun while learning.

and every incident that happened to my daughter on her entire stay nakasulat sa diary or they will call/text me right away, even kapag may susundo na ibang tao like one time, di ko sila na-inform that my borther will pick her up from school they called me right away. Even small wounds they report it to me. If magkaka bruise ibig sabihn ang lakas ng pag shake ng teacher sakanya. but i am sorry, super alaga mga bata sakanila. Kapag nakakapasok daughter ko na wet pa hair, pag uwi niya, nakatali na, so how come walang ginagawa ang mga teacher aides/helper nila? even tirang baon from school were all carefully wrapped and being sent home.

Hi sisses!  I like my son's school. It's TSAA or The School for Academics and the Arts. It's in Chino Roces in Makati. Progressive school siya.  The owner is Audie Gemora and partners. My son has been enrolled since he was 2.8 years old.  He came in there while doing speech and OT and our pedia recommended socialization with a small group. So saling pusa siya nag-start but we decided to continue until ngayon Kinder 1 na siya at 4 years old.

I love this school! They are 9 in a class, with 2 teachers handling a class. It's a bit pricey but because of what we thought might be some issues, we decided to stick with S going to a progressive school. Super hands on, maasikaso, tutok ang teachers. Actually, everyone! From the principal, the registrar, manongs and manangs and other teachers, they know their kids and they're family.
