i have a question. nag awol kase ako sa previous company ko. i left there june 2011 pero di ko dineclare sa resume ko. my last work sa resume ko was 2010 pa.

then now, hired na ako and they are asking me to fill up sss, pag ibig and bir forms. kaka sign ko lang ng job offer 2 days ago. malalaman ba ng bagong employer ko na employed ako this year dahil sa tax ko?

what is the best thing to do?

^yes, malalaman nila, not just because of the tax, but because of your sss contributions. ikaw lang makakasagot sa question mo na "what is the best thing to do?"  ;)

^thanks sis. natakot ako sa reply mo... hehe... kaya sa sobrang worry ko, i talked to the HR na. ok lang daw as long as i can prove na valid ang reason and i can get a clearance. i told her the truth. then i went to my previous employer. nagpaclearance na ako. and the good news is, naprocess pala ng tl ko yung resignation ko. akala ko na-tag as awol na ako. now i have peace of mind and i will even get my backpay... :)

^sis, may tanong ulit ako. i have another problem... today is my first day at work and i found out yesterday na preggy ako. may possibility ba na icancel ng employer ko yung employment ko due to my pregnancy? i had my pre-employment medical exam last thursday lang.

^i don't think ica-cancel nila employment mo (since wala naman akong nakikitang grounds based on your story), but if the kind of job that you handle is a bit critical for a pregnant woman (example lang ito ha, a saleslady who need to stand up for 8 hours), then ang nakikita ko na possible na mangyari eh early end of contract. pero depende pa rin ito sa employment status mo (project based, contractual, proby). BTW, since alam mo na that you are pregnant, you need to notify your employer para sa SSS.  ;)

Hi mga sis na HR!  :)  I'm thinking of shifting na kasi ng career kasi hopeless na sa nursing field :( I will try to apply sa mga job na as much as possible eh hindi ko sasayangin din 'yung pinag-aralan ko :) I have questions na alam ko kayo ang expert dito. Hehe! Hindi pa kasi ako nakaexperience ng totoong job hunting kasi usually kapag mag-submit ako ng credentials pa-isa-isang hospital lang. So parang first ko ito.

1. When is the best time to submit credentials/resume para sa'yo? Best day and time sa isang araw. Kasi as much as possible daw huwag daw kapag Monday and Friday, before lunch, and before uwian :p

2. I plan to submit my credentials November-December, but I think medyo lutang na 'yung mga employees at this time. Pabakasyon na, paparty na. Okay lang kaya? Or prepare ko na lang lahat then submit na lang on January?

3. Anong impression niyo sa mga nagsusumbmit ng credentials na naka-jeans and let's say polo shirt/collared shirt or decent blouse/top naman? Okay lang ba?

Thanks in advance!  ;D

it's an advantage sis. lalo na sa panahon ngayon. but of course, nasa performance pa rin. kasi kung master's degree holder nga, kung poor performance naman o kaya so-so lang...hindi pa rin enough yun.

Hi! I'm a newbie here but I hope you don't mind if I answer your questions ^_^ Just my two cents. ^_^

1) Research about the company you want to apply to.

3) Again, depende sa company... or sa interviewer. Hehe. Meron kasing mga interviewer na conservative na hinahanap parin yung business attire. Pero meron naman na hindi na. So, to be safe, better na hindi mag-jeans. Hehe.

not to burst your bubble sis ha .. but nung nag ojt ako sa isang company as an assistant hr  and yung kakilala ko din na HR in another company , most of them said na pag nursing grad daw hindi priority yung mga resume nila  :-\ ... and nung na.assign din ako nung sorting sa applicants resume andaming nursing applicants na nakasort sa  isang folder na they don't even bother looking at it  :-\ .. or much better pa rin kung may backer ka sis kahit papano   ;)

Go go go!

Hi Sis! I am from Recruitment. Depende sa company na aapplayan mo sis, if for example BPO/Call Center, wala sila dress code pag nag apply - pede din walkin and usually extended ang office hours pag sa recruitment, gat may applicants pinoprocess (lalo pag hiring). If di naman callcenters sis, you should follow proper dresscode, but I think, business casual will do.

Some companies will not accomodate you if di ka naka schedule for interview, so better if i try mo muna apply thru jobstreet and the likes and wait for their call. :)
