Nawatch nyo ba yung video ni Raph Ubalde regarding his depression? Grabe noh, if you look at him di mo iisipin na may depression pala sya.

Even Zachary Levi admitted he has some form of mental illness and is undergoing therapy. Hindi rin halata!

So sad about seph ubalde. Ako rin I want to end it all, but may gusto lang sana ako gawin before that happens. But I can totally relate to him. I don't want to say na sana ganito or ganyan ginawa nya, sana he was stronger, sana he saw the beauty in life, etc. Alam ko nga lang yung medyo common na nakaka-save talaga sa mga depressed is the fear of leaving their children with no one to care for and protect them, or kagaya ko, very unsure pa of how to go about it and medyo scared pa rin to go through with it kahit papaano.

Wishing everyone a great day today, hope there is someone or something for you that will make you happy  :).

hi everyone, specially sa mga makakabasa nito, I know you are here to read and get some ideas how to cope or paano makakatulong kahit papano.

to those people who suffering depression - Please please, pray, talk to God, how? punta lang kayo somewhere na safe or tahimik na ikaw lang at si God ang makakapag usap, if you have a bible much better. First, close your eyes and talk, imagining God is just there sitting with you looking at you and asking you what do you feel, sabihin mo lahat ng nararamdaman mo, lahat ng buma bother sa isip mo. if you have questions na hindi ka makahanap ng sagot, close your eyes, ask him..  after 1 to 2 minutes open your bible randomly and i am telling you GOD will answer that question through that.

in this world, maniwala kayo o hindi, pero lahat ng kailangan mo at magiging biggest guide mo is simply the bible, lahat ng kakailanganin mo na sandata to fight everyday is in the bible and just simply by talking to God.

nagka depression ako before, depression na i am having a mid life crisis, na hindi ko alam kung ano ba gusto ko sa buhay ko? saan na ba pupunta buhay ko? bakit  bakit ganito ang buhay ko, bakit ganito pamilya ko, maraming bakit, maraming questions, minsan may extreme feeling na hindi mo maintindihan at maexplain ano yung feeling na yun. During those times isa lang napatunayan ko in times na wala ka na makapitan at sarili mo na lang, look up, pray, dun nagpakilala si God ng lubusan sa sakin.

always remember this you are ALIVE BECAUSE YOU HAVE MISSION in this life, hindi ka nabuhay for nothing, hindi ka nabuhay dahil wala lang, MAY REASON why you are here in this world, you have a WORTH in this world, kaya ka nabubuhay sa mundong to dahil may PURPOSE ka and that is your mission to know why GOD created you and give you a life in this world.

go to a safe and silent room na ikaw lang at si God ang makikipag usap, then close your eyes, and talk to him and read the bible after because dun siya sasagot.

God bless everyone.

^Thanks for your wonderful and meaningful post, sis!

I read some articles about him and found out na hindi pala sya naniniwala sa anti-depressants. He admitted he was diagnosed with clinical depression but I felt sad nung nalaman ko he was not taking medication. Sayang.

Sabi ng neuro/psych ko, "tulungan mo ang sarili mo. yung pinagdadaanan mo, normal na nararamdaman ng isang tao" so bukod sa meds, I try to keep myself busy. I go to church not only on Sundays but when I have time also like after office. I pray a LOT.

Alam mo yung feeling na you trust one person and never mo naimagine na sasaktan ka nya but in the end, sya pala yung gagawa sayo ng hindi mo ineexpect? Hindi ito lovelife, :) I am referring to my dad. He is my hero and I look up to him. He is also the role model of my brothers. Kulang nalang patayuan ko sya ng rebulto. Found out a year ago that he has another family. May dalawa silang anak ng kabit nya, ages 20 and 13. Sa facebook ko lang nalaman lahat using my "kutob". I didn't even know the name of the kabitch at first but I had a clue her name starts with "J". No one from our relatives told us and I felt like no one from them also cared or perhaps, tikom ang mga bibig nila kasi baka magalit dad ko sa kanila. When I found out, kala ko aatakihin ako sa puso. August last year, I saw their videos on youtube. I know may mali rin ang tatay ko, big time.

September last year around 2nd week, nahirapan akong huminga at nagpapalpitate ako ng bongga. Na-ER ako and findings was neurocirculatory asthenia. October nangyari uli, this time mas matindi kasi hindi ko na maigalaw mga kamay ko, namamanhid ang binti ko. NaER ako twice nung October, anxiety attack ang diagnosis. November ganon nanaman uli but tests always came out normal so I was referred to a neuro/psych. Doc said I should not be worried kasi hindi raw neurocirculatory asthenia ito, panic attack daw. Been taking my meds since December and so far, so good naman.

Now I believe that stress manifests in the body. So everytime din na maiisip ko "sila", I divert my attention and thoughts and just focus on my health, my family and my work.

^I also don't believe in anti depressants. Before, siguro oo. But now, after reading so many articles about depression, advancement of science, how our thoughts affect our reality, and the bad effects of anti depressants, I realize there are better ways to approach depression in a safe way.

^Let me share something... I have been reading about depression and how to deal with it for as long as I can remember.  And one thing that I realized is you can choose to control it by making a conscious effort to avoid or stay away from the triggers.

Find things/ activities that make you happy, may it be something as simple as watching netflix on your own or going on a travel extravaganza if you have the means.  Whatever floats your boat.  I have been to expensive psychologists and they basically tell you to snap out of it.

^Agree. Yan din sabi ng psych ko. Back up nalang siguro in my case ang meds, malaki rin naitulong kasi sa akin..

This is true. Ako umiiwas na lang. I removed toxic people in my life, yung di pwede alisin iniwasan ko nalang. I rarely use facebook na, I still do but I dont scroll down na.

I just post on fb groups then check ko na lang kung may messages. And iwas na din sa mga tao na nakakadagdag sa depression. even my own family, iniiwasan ko din. they may think na napakasama kong anak pero sa ngayon mas dapat kong isipin yung kalagayan ko.

Every month, may session ako with a psychologist. She advised me to have a Gratitude Journal. Ginagawa ko sya and it helps kasi at the end of the day marerealize mo na hindi naman pala ganun kasama yung buhay mo and you will learn to appreciate every little things.

She also advised to have "Me" time every day. Kahit 30 mins o 1 hour a day, gagawin mo yung bagay na makakapagpasaya sayo. Like reading books o watching favorite series.

And lastly, she advised to have a "Date" day every week. Yung tipong idadate mo yung sarili mo once a week. Like magmalling, dine out to your favorite restaurant, watch movie. So ako, ginagawa ko yun every Sunday. I go to Church, lunch sa favorite resto ko or I will try a different one. Kung walang budget, after Church, sa bahay na lang then bibili ng food and mag movie marathon. :)

For the explanation, you may check this link.

^^Thanks for sharing sis. I like the idea of having a gratitude journal. Try ko nga yan. 😊

Same here, laki nagagawa ng facebook sa akin. Dati nung wala pa akong baby, (dami nang aasar na kesyo magpahilot, etc2.), ultimo relatives ni hubby kung ano ano sinasabi sa amin, as in I once a month lang ako mag open. Recently nalaman kong ok din pala sumali sa groups and may other ways pa to use it in a productive way (like marketplace LOL) kaya medyo dumalas. Like you girls, dami ki na rin inunfollow. Planning to create a new account na talagang close friends lang nandun para di mahirap mag select ng makakakitang friends when I post something. Nakakatamad din kasi gumawa ng group kung more than 500 ang friends mo. 😅

I eat 2 pcs a day.

Also sa mga pinapanood ko din. I make sure to read the synopsis cause I've learned my lesson after watching 13 reasons why grabe iba ang effect sakin.  haha

^ acetylcholine - same here sis. I removed my Facebook. I try to be positive pero puro kaplastikan at hypocrisy nakikita ko.

Dito na lang ako sa GT humahanash 😂

Want to share my moments of depression too- actually iniisip ko kung meron ba talaga, parang wala naman. Of course, sadness paminsan minsan. Pero mabilis ako mag move on.
I lost both my parents. Ive been working since I was 16. Ako na nagpa aral sa sarili ko. Naka grad ako 25 yo na ko. Nabuntis ako at 22 tapos iniwan lang ako as in never na nagparamdam yung guy ever. Right now my child is 6 years old pero he does not know im his mom kasi lumaki sya sa sis ko and her husband and yun na nakalakihan nyang parents. Im currently based abroad and feeling very homesick.

Anyways, I dont know why I never considered myself depressed parang manhid na siguro ako after all my trials in life, ano pa bang mas worse na dadating. Alam mo yung ganung feeling? Pero yun nga..... I try to be positive each day and avoid toxic people or situations. If u ask my friends or coworkers how would they describe me- masayahin ako. Siguro dahil quotang quota na ko sa hirap and lungkot in the past, kaya I choose to be happy na lang. by the way im 30 year old female.

^Haha. If I may ask, are you still on meds sis?

If I may, here is my story.. short cut version nalang kasi baka bukas pa ako matapos, lol.

Issue #1: Dad is abroad and recently nalaman ko may ibang family na sya. Alam ng mga relatives but I had to dig every suspicious profile in fb para mahanap ko profile ng kabitch at ng mga anak nila. Yes, I have a step sister and brother. 20 and 13 years old, respectively. I am 36. The kids don't know my dad is married to my mom. The kabitch knew my mom, they met years ago. Mga grade school palang kami. Actually, we met her pala sabi ng mom ko.

Issue #2: My marriage is on the rocks. My husband is short-tempered. He hit me on the arm and kicked me on the hips 1 month after I gave birth via CS. Yes, hindi masakit but emotionally sobrang sakit. Many times kapag nag aaway kami tumatahimik lang ako kasi he threatens me na sasapakin nya ako. But 2 weeks ago we had a big fight dahil sa napakaliit na bagay. That's how he is, pinapalaki pati nga walang kwentang bagay. Since that fight, hindi na ako umuwi sa bahay namin. Civil kami ngayon (cause I have to be, for my baby) and knowing him, hindi papatalo at laging nakasigaw, kala mo lagi naghahanap ng away.

Issue #3: Because of issue #1, I have to support (well, not really but more like back up) kasi kulang ang padala ng dad ko most of the time. I feel like his responsibility was passed on to me  in a way. Ok lang naman, I have a stable job but sometimes I feel pressured because I want to give my family the best that I can and I don't think it is not enough. Nakukulangan ako. I am always in search of ways to improve our lives, financially ito.

#improving 😂

Sana tuloy tuloy lang ito. I always pray for guidance and focus.
