^ well actually, yung same 3 units na kapareha namin, ganun na ang pay, kaya lang ang ginawa naman nila, nagparent ng rooms so parang naging sharing kaya andami nila, dati isang family lang ngayon daw tatlo na, tapos yung isa naman per head naman ang kinuha. Halos lahat ng nagrent sa kanya walng nagrenew ng lease kasi sobrang taas nga and kami din di namin inisip na ganun kalaki ang itataas. Ska matagal din na vacant unit nia bago ulit naparent kaya siguro pumayag na sa sharing...or maybe the owner dont care basta me nagrent.

kung ako property owner, i would rather maintain the good tenants na nagrerenew ng contract. Kais tignan mo, pag navacant sia, hanap ka na naman , so mga ilang months or weeks bago ulit makakita, tapos siempre gagastos ka din sa advertise, papaayos mo ulit kahti papano yng unit, so dami din expense to think na yng increase eh dun lang din mapupunta...parang di din sia nakabawi.

Ah ewan ko ba....na analyze ko lang bigla ganun, kasi true naman eh. Mention nga namin yun sagot ba naman, whether i spend $3000 on it or what, that's my business, it's the way i run my business. mga sis were still in the process of finalizing our visa pero naiisip ko na yung mga dapat dalahin etc. tama ba na 20kg lang ang allowed na baggage sa plane? pano nyo napagkasya lahat ng stuff? iniisip ko kung pwede ibox yung iba tapos ship na lang, yung parang balikbayan box. o baka naman cheaper kung dyan na lang bumili ng mga gamit? thank you

^ if via PAL ka usually kami mga 22 to 23 kg okay nila they dont charge us. madami naman dinmabibili dito kaya [textspeak!] mas madami maganda jan at mas mura.

^^sis i suggest kung mga damit lang yan mas maganda siguro you just bring mga panlabas or pang-office tapos a few shoes, kung mga pambahay lang dito ka nalang bumili sa oz, minsan kung may sale mas mura pa anga damit at sapatos dito e. Hassle kasi minsan yung balikbayan box, minsan may mga custom chuva ek-ek hehe at san mo pipick-upin tapos proproblemahin mo pa mamaya mawala, just my two cents sis goodluck!

Hello everyone! Nung nag-migrate po ba kayo sa Australia, may family na kayong nandiyan? Is there anyone na as in, kayo lang nagpunta diyan na mag-isa, with no one else to help you? Thanks po. to those coming over, try to get the promotion for first time migrants giving you 40 kilos of baggage allowance. You may seek the help of International Organization for Migration for this.  Usually Qantas ang meron na ganitong promo. Pag-planuhan nyo na lang mabuti kung ano ang dadalhin nyo kasi mahirap din magbitbit at maglipat ng maraming gamit kung wala pa kayong permanent na bahay na tutuluyan.

sis bibits, it depends on what type pf visa you have. If PR kang papasok you are allowed 40kg of baggage allowance pero kung temporary visa, 20kg allowance lang tapos siguro plus 2-3 kgs extra allowance depending on what airline.

Sis bibits, I flew Singapore Airlines going here and I was able to bring in about 25kg plus my handcarry which was about 12K hehe (7 lang max).  They don't weigh the handcarried luggage kasi. 

For my other stuff, I sent it all via EMS (Express Mail Service) by Philpost.  Maximum of 20kg. in a box, unlimited number of boxes.  It's P600 for the first and P315 for every succeeding kilo.

Pero if I were you, wag ka nag masyado magdala ng clothes.  I ended up not wearing most of my clothes that I shipped here kasi hindi siya bagay dito hehe.  Ang napakinabangan ko lang ay yung mga jackets and jeans ko.

sis pilates, if ever we'll be going on a temp visa (457) so i guess limited nga talaga madadala namin.

i made a list of possible stuff i will bring, puro damit hehe. iniisip ko kasi para makatipid din ng konti kasi baka mas mahal dyan damit.

^Korek sis haha.  Sinita pa ako nung lady guard na nagx-xray ng handcarry dun sa gate mismo ng SIA dyan sa Terminal 1.  Bakit daw sobrang bigat?  Sabi ko I don't know, they allowed me in.  Paki nya dun!

Napagkasya ko ganun karami sa handcarry sis kasi naka-vacuum pack hehe.  Isipin mong lahat ng pangbahay ko at mga t-shirts eh napagkasya ko doon  

Clothes are expensive here pero kung may taglay kang kaartehan tulad ko at gusto na medyo bagay naman sa fasyon eh hindi mo magagamit ang mga dala mo hehe... Tapos dala pa ako ng isang katerbang office clothes eh I didn't end up working in an office naman.  So eto, lahat ng closets namin sa lahat ng bedrooms sa bahay eh puro damit ko hahaha.  Yung shoes ang sulit na dalhin sis kasi pangit mga dito.  Kung meron man na good fit and good quality, expensive.  Leather sandals nga lang sana for summer I wanted to buy, aba $80+.  Eh ang dami ko namang iba kaya di na rin ako bumili.  Naiisip ko rin kasi kung hindi kami ma-PR (wag naman sana), eh anong gagawin ko sa isang katerbang gamit ko dito hehe...

sis, we are on the said boat. lapit na kami mag-initial entry kaya super cramming sa pag-research ng tips. wala kasi kaming kakilala sa WA. nakaka-excite pero nakaka-worry rin. iniisip ko na lang na english speaking naman mga tao dyan kaya we can survive, eventually.

In-allow din ako 40 kilos ng quantas, tos may 4 kilos ako excess na dinala ko na lang sa paki-usapan. Tama si sis lalei, yung mga clothes na panlamig na lang dalin, yun ang mahal dito. Before ako umalis, dumaan pa ko sa ukay-ukay para mamili ng winter clothes. Hehe.. 3 pairs of shoes, 3 bags, konti CDs, few books  nga lang nadala ko, the rest clothes na. Di ko lam kung san napunta yung 40 kilos. And maximize nga yung nasa hand carry bag, pero wag naman sobra laki.

Pagdating ko dito sa customs, pinagalitan pa ko kasi nagpatulong ako sa customs officer na ibaba yung maleta ko. sabihan ba naman ako na wag daw ako magdadala ng di ko kaya buhatin!

hello everyone! new here. i just have some few questions. i hope someone will take extra time to make a reply. i've been googling and it seemed i didn't get enough info. oh well, except for the weather report.

i know it's summer time in OZ with rains and thunderstorms once in a while. my son is having a business trip in sydney early dec. i just would like to know what kind of corporate wear do people use during summer. is it fine wearing short sleeves in the office or one is required long sleeves? how strict is the culture reg office wear? does he need to bring a suit? ngek! on this suit plan...dagdag bigat sa bagahe. oh nooo!

and pls...more culture shock helpful tips there. airport, immigration, customs (i've read some here, thanks for that), transpo, etc....

and most impt on my end...hahaha! ano ang masarap ipasalubong?

airport customs wise, if you like na 100% trouble free transit, don't bring in food (kahit processed) and any wooden objects.

Kung hindi sigurado, i-declare na lang sis. you can be fined for not declaring an item na pwede naman palang ipasok.
