Hello! I searched the forum for face mask with brightening effects (I was able to try one which a friend gave, it's like lemon patches and suprisingly brightened my face the next day. But didn't get the brand! 😫)
Anyway, come across this thread and read the raves of Queen Helene mint julep masque and Aztec indian healing clay mask. I have yet to finish reading the 10pages in between but was surpise to know that Queen Helene is not available anymore in Healthy Option. Anyone knows why? Was excited to try it since it's with mint. Got Aztec instead and will get back here for results.


(I hope I'm not resurrecting a dead thread or let me know if there's a new one or combined one -in which I have yet to finish the Aztec thread I saw 8pages far) Thanks.

Share ko lang din yung experiences ko with clay and sheet masks 

1. Queen Helene - so di na pala sya available sa HO sayang naman. This is my first clay mask and sobrang gusto ko to because it works talaga, ang lakas maka fresh and minty ng scent so very relaxing din. Naubos ko isang tube but messy na kung sisimutin mo kasi mahirap na sya isqueeze kaya hinati ko yung tube and I transferred the remaining clay mask sa iba pang tub.

2. Aztec - I use this with apple cider vinegar, hati kami ng mom ko kaya lang messy din to iprepare and lalo na kapag iririnse na. Pero it works din! I love the pulsating effect nung una medyo natakot ako pero relaxing sya and makikita mo agad yung brightening effect after. I only use this once a week like the QH.

3. SHEET MASKS - eto na talaga addiction ko ngayon! I even made an IG account for reviews LOL ("thatbangtanglow") just remove "" nagstart ako sa Nature Republic, The Face Shop, Tony Moly, madami yan yung mga available sa Watsons. Nakita ko na ito ang bet ng oily skin ko. Iba iba kasi yung variants kaya naeexcite ako gamitin.. Nagustuhan ko din sa sheet masks kasi no need to rinse, just massage the excess essence and sometimes pag nagustuhan ko yung excess essence I use sa body ko

So far ito yung brand ng sheet masks na gusto ko:

- Shelim - very inexpensive maganda fit sa face but available online. Check nyo Shopee or online stores in IG
- Natureby - same ng Shelim inexpensive and ok for everyday use. Again, online lang sya mabibili.
- Mumuso, Miniso, Daiso - may sheet masks narin sila pero hindi ko pa na try yung sa Miniso and Daiso. Yung sa Mumuso I'm still testing but so far gusto ko sya.
- Watsons - madami na brands ngayon sa Watsons, may SNP, Leaders, Purederm, Dr. Morita, etc.

Suggestion ko if you want to try lang start ka muna sa Watsons maganda talaga Leaders and Dr. Morita, lagi ako may backups nyan

By the way, The Face Shop is on sale 5+5 on Real Nature sheet masks! I got 10 pcs for Php 325 lang

onT: fave ko naman yun leaders insolution, aztec healing clay, innisfree jeju, queen helene, jayjun baby pure (super ganda nito may kasama pang eyecream lakas makabrighten), innisfree, nature republic and holika. scrub masks winner si skinfood black sugar!  sa feet yun purederm exfoliating and sa eyes yun sa mumuso hydrogels. Once in a while i treat myself with whole face hydrogel masks ang sarap sa ng feeling and perfect fit pa! nakakaaddict! excited to try lululun next ko na yan..

worst i tried yun sa ekel and leaders na aquaringer.. did nothing for my oily skin. nairritate pa. :<

Share ko lang din yung masks that i'm currently using:

1. innisfree Jeju Super Volcanic Pore clay mask - once a week
2. Skinfood Black Sugar - once a week
3. Shiseido Ibuki Sleeping mask - 2x a week. i noticed mas fresh tingnan ang face in the morning (pag puyat the night before)
4. Lebaton face mask sheets - nakakahydrate ng face, once a week lang. yung excess essence i gently apply sa neck ko para di sayang

gusto ko din mag try pa ng ibang face mask sheets from other korean brands

I use the following masks:

Aztec Clay Mask- twice a week; very refreshing and nakaka bright ng skin right after
Skinfood's Black Sugar Mask- twice a week; brightens the skin. palaging night time ko siya ginagamit, kinabukasan, ang glowing ng skin ko hehe
iWhite's Sleeping Mask- twice to thrice a week; okay lang siya. kinabukasan, mukha namang hydrated ang skin ko
Aloe Vera Gel- i use this as sleeping mask; 4x a week; okay siya, mga 3 months ko na ginagawa, and nakikita ko improvements sa skin ko.
Sheet Masks- for yung mga branded like Nature Republic and Face Shop, once or twice a week; yung generic (compressed sheet masks then nagcocombine ako essences,oil and aloe gel)- twice to thrice a week.

Been using these for more than 3 months already, napansin ko gumaganda rin skin ko, nawawala yung mga maliliit na bumps. Maappreciate mo after ilang months nga lang, tiis ganda pero worth it

May ilang sheet masks nga na Jayjun sa Watsons and next ko ttry yun Ang dami ko parin masks sa stash ko kakaloka pang ilang buwan na sya kahit everyday! LOL Buti na lang di ako natempt sa ekel na yan kasi mura and wala din magandang reviews. Excited to try the Mumuso eye mask na hydrogel, meron din ako

Fave ko rin ang Leaders Insolution, Etude House, Lebaton and Baroness masks. Yung sa Watson's na Beauty Buffet (yata) na brand, okay din naman although I don't find it as rich with serum compared to other brands.

^I tried the one I got free from BeautyMNL na tomato Baroness mask. Not sure did anything to my skin but felt soft afterwards. How was it for you sis?


(I'm in the lookout for mask that will brighten my skin as I tried a mask given to me from Korea that was not able to take note of the brand that did bright my face the next day, yung tipong kumpleto ang tulog mo/ glowing-inlove look haha)

Bought the purederm brightening because of the raves here but have yet to try it still since there was a warning not to use if you have breakout, I'm waiting for a popped pimple to dry out before trying it haha)

^ Baroness Vit C mask is my fave. I noticed naman na nag-brighten yung face ko tsaka mas mabilis mag-fade ang mga blemishes. I use sheet masks every other day kase.

For brightening, may instant glow/ brightening effect yung mga masks na Pearl variant. For me, the best ang Lebaton mask for brightening (the pink one) from Althea. Super mura pa.

^ Yung Baroness masks sis, sa Lazada or BeautyMNL ko lang nakikita. Same with Lebaton masks, sa Althea ko lang sya nabibili.

Yung mga masks sa Watson's, minsan Buy 1 Get 1 sila at 59php. Although sabi ko nga, feeling ko hindi ganun ka-soak sa essence yung mga masks sa Watson's.

Check Etude House, Leaders Insolution and Tony Moly. Okay din mga masks nila, ranging from 55php to 120php.

The other day, I dropped by The Face Shop and bumili ako Smoothing (Hyaluronic) and Brightening (Pearl) masks. Medyo pricey lang at 150php a piece pero effective for me! Two days straight ko pa lang nagamit yung Hyaluronic variant and napansin agad ng mga officemates ko na blooming daw ako!

Pang-everyday ko yun 365 ng Watson's yun Pearl Mask [textspeak!] di nakakabutas ng bulsa.

Pang-once a week yung Lemon ng Face Shop. Da best yun for me so far.

Is Queen Helene good for dry skin?
