visited Las Vegas March of this year. naloka ako sa weather. there were nights na super lamig talaga, then some days parang t-shirt weather lang. what i did not expect was the effect of the atmosphere on my skin. grabe in one week, super dry na arms and legs ko. grabeng itchy, kailangan maligo ng lotion

maganda nga sa Forum Shoppes, sarap mag-shopping. try also Earl of Sandwich sa Planet Hollywood. sarap ng sandwiches nila esp yung Roast Beef.

^^If I remember correctly, Bellagio's brunch buffet was at USD80. I don't exactly recall cos treat lang all of it. The major hotels all have buffets and there's a saying that your Vegas experience isn't complete without doing a buffet. 

Didn't try to eat at the older hotels. They also offer promos like, 5-7 buffets in a day for a certain amount, kaso I'm thinking, can one person seriously eat in all of those restos in a day na masusulit mo the price you paid for?? LOL...

Will do the zipline again at Fremont Street when we return! Cheaper rates pa if you do it before 6pm!

Watched the Lion King at Mandalay Bay with my 5 n 7yos and my parents. Really nice! Not a lot of kids watching when we were there. To think it was a long musical with an intermission in between, my kids were following the entire story and were well-behaved. Lucky me! Will try to watch it in Marina Bay Sands and compare when we revisit SG.

What I missed lang was the NKOTBSB concert last July...blockhead pa naman ako nung grade school days haha...shows my age, eh?

When you go to Vegas, I'd say you try to include a tour to the grand canyon and hoover damn in the morning  since it's better to walk around the city at night, feeling ko kase dun lang sha maganda.And sa araw sobrang init-depende what month- but still mainit pa rin, e ang mahal ng taxi, so usually you'll end up lang maghotel hopping para makasagap ng AC. And also you can't miss the outlet malls!!!!!  mas mura sales tax nila e.

P.S. Jabbawockeez just started at Monte Carlo, so you might want to watch to support our fellow Filipinos. We were lucky enough to see the first show at a discounted price kase that's were we stayed, medyo they need pa improvements pero nakakaproud pa rin to think na Filipinos most of them tapos pinapanood ng mga foreigners. =D

next time we go to vegas and arizona, i want to hit the havasu and beaver falls too. pero wow, 1-3 days ata ang hike. kumusta naman. pero grabe ang ganda.

hi! we'll be in Vegas first week of May. my brother's with us and will drive from LA to Vegas, but he'll leave a day before us (me and hubby). how do we get back to LA? meron ba bus dun? di rin namin alam mag rent-a-car hehe. paano ba?

^Cheaper to rent a car and will only take you 4 hours. If you don't want to drive you can either take a plane ($50-60/pax 1 hour) or bus/shuttle (5-7 hours).

we stayed at TRUMP Hotel and sulit sya kase mabango.. since walang casino yung hotel.. walang smoking! downside is medyo maglalakad ka pa around 5 minutes towards the Strip...

Last punta namin is July and mainit nga! pero since galing kaming Houston medyo sanay naman kami sa dessert temperature kaya carry na din... love their buffets.. nagtry kami sa iba't ibang hotel buffet hanggang mabundat!

Highly recommend the Wicked Spoon buffet at the Cosmopolitan hotel. Love the bone marrow on crostini and the DIY mac n cheese, good stuff.
For the seafood lover, the buffet at the Rio is a must!
Also enjoyed La Reve at the Wynn, much like O at the Bellagio.
In terms of nightlife, tried Tao bistro and club, nice place, nice crowd.

^There's a coach outlet near the airport and one farther away (las vegas premium outlet, also has RL outlet), which you can reach by car. Usually there are sales in the outlet stores especially coach, like add. 50% off of the outlet price, which is really cheaper compared to the regular store prices. sometimes too, the SAs will hand out extra 20% flyers. The selections are pretty good too, really worth checking out.

we went there on the last week of my 2006. maganda sa vegas pag gabi (i'm fond of bright lights kasi hehe). we stayed at excalibur hotel pero overnight lang kami dun kaya bitin kasi kaylangan na namin bumalik sa anaheim.

nakakaloka kasi ganun pala ka-wild dun. may bigla nalang mag-aabot ng porn magazines/flyers habang naglalakad ka hahaha

Just went to Vegas February this year courtesy of our company. It's my first trip to US also. I must say that after 1 week there was a separation anxiety. Vegas is nice. Lots of food, drinks and shows.
We also went to Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon via bus tours worth $90. It's a 6 hour trip (one way) but it's all worth it.
We visited every hotel in the strip and of course took pictures. We walked from Venetian to Luxor then back. It was freezing cold in Las Vegas during that time.
We had our buffet at the Bellagio for $40. I guess it was a promo for "merienda". Were there at around 430 pm. that's why it's cheaper but the lines were super duper long. Lots of Filipino waiters also.
I really really enjoyed the Bellagio fountains and the cold weather.

planning to come here next year with my hubby.  can you recommend a hotel that's not too expensive but near the outlets and tourist spots?  it'll be my first time but hubby's second.  his first time was company-sponsored so obviously, we couldn't afford the hotel they stayed in.  =)  thanks in advance

^The hotel rates will depend on the season and the days of the week you will be there. The hotel's location will also be a big factor, on the Strip or off the Strip.

Low season is the summer months of July/August since it is oven-hot there. Weekdays are generally lower while weekends will double the price. We got our hotel on the Strip during summer for USD70++/night only. Pero ayoko na bumalik dun ng summer at talaga naman para kang bini-bake sa tindi ng init!

best hotel will also depend on the transpo. if you can rent a car which i suggest you do, you can go  for the off strip hotels coz they are "cheaper" and "quieter"...and just drive to the strip at night. dont go there during summer please. i went there march last year and the weather was just perfect. medyo makulangot nga lang coz of the sandy air.

Whats even funnier is kesihodang babae ka or yung guy eh may kasamang gf/wifey, abot lang sila ng abot, like its a flier for a resto. Hehe

Eta: plus the basura that the fliers create. Parang mini smokey mountain... I hope they recycle those.
