There's a pet show by Popovich in Vegas. Good for kids ;-)

was there last december '09 for new year's eve with my bf (now fiance) and family.. super enjoy. loved watching cirque du soleil and other shows though gambling is not really for me.  outlet shopping galore din.

i plan to have my super intimate wedding in vegas next year.  is late April / early May super init na?  which month does it start to get really hot and humid?

From experience sis, yung start ng super init na weather sa Las Vegas starts sa  June going to July (usually the hottest) up to August kasi summer months. But April weather is nice and May is tolerable, : ).

^thanks sis k_heart for the info.  we're considering Napa instead in November..  since my family is based in California (so we can celebrate Thanksgiving too..one trip na lang).  but fiance is still insisting on a bachelor's party in Vegas with his buddies..

Don't forget
  • the buffets
  • great art in each hotels
  • IN N OUT -- in my case, we don't go to the west coast a lot, so this is a big deal!

We went there June last year. It was so hot. Sobrang nakakapaso na talaga 'yung araw. We walked from Harrah's to the Fashion Show mall. My goodness, ang init sobra. :) They should put mist fans around the Strip.

I forgot to say: I recently re-watched Ocean's Eleven. Made me want to go back to Vegas.

^First time I came to Vegas I almost missed that "welcome" sign. I was like, "That was it? That was the famous welcome sign?" LOL

Does anybody know the perfect shoes to wear when in Vegas? Syempre there will be a lot of walking but you will also be entering posh hotels and shopping plazas, not to mention watching shows at night. By the way im traveling mid June. Thanks for the help! :D

^ to walk around, wear your most comfy shoes. flip flops are a no-no IMO-parusa sa paa yan. ok lang to go around shops and hotels na 'di nakaporma nang sobra. for the shows, really depend on the show. i believe they usually tell you the dress code naman but in case they don't, casual is ok. but again, no flip flops and shorts. if you'll be hitting the clubs, you have to wear something dressy. :)

^ totally agree with you.

^^ LV is a tourist destination. they dont care what you're wearing. hotels, casinos, malls, restos... they dont care. what they want is your money.  ;D

mid june travel? yikes! torcher ang temps. nasa triple digits yan - 100F...  you better be prepared.

i avoid vegas in the summer.  di ko kaya. i just stay indoors. otherwise ma-911 ako.

LV is sometimes scary at night. iba pala yung makakakita ka ng ina-arrest in real life vs sa tv... dami kasi DUI dun kaya medyo common to see cops making arrests along The Strip. kakaibang show para sakin. hehe

and those guys handing out flyers of "escort" services ... parang casual flyers/menu lang ng restos yung inaabot nila... censored pala.  :o

^Correct! If you can avoid Vegas in the summer months do so. Grabe at parang oven ang init! We made the mistake of going there in July and hello! But inspite of the heat nag-enjoy din naman kami. Will want to go back one of these days.

can't wait to go back to Vegas this November.. i hope weather is just comfortable cool as i'll be in a wedding gown  ;)

can't wait to watch cirque du soleil and other "burlesque-like" shows again.  might catch Chippendales too and see how it's different from their performance here in Manila last Feb  :D

^ should be cool enough. though hirap na din talaga tantiyahin ng weather ngayon eh. a friend went to vegas in november before, mainit-init pa daw. ang kalaban mo naman kapag malamig is mahangin naman.

avoid vegas talaga from say, may to early october. and the way the weather's going at the moment, i think the winter months are the only safe months to go. 'di pa fool-proof yan. the southwest hit the high 70's-mid 80's sometime in january of this year. :P
